  1. What are you talking about, niceguy? You just have to pay, no one is dictating anything. A friend of my father has a school, and they put some ads of it in between the trailers for the new Star Wars. You just have to pay, it's an ad. UMG, GNR, TB or whoever's in charge of it could easily do it. And yeah, with that image on facebook and twitter, it does seem they are going for that appeal for the merchan? - big live audiences etc. Who knows. It's not weird, and definetly not absurd.

  2. Ok, alrighth, I get what you mean, niceguy, this could be, after all, just related to merchandising and stuff.

But come on, they wouldn't pull down the entire fucking website just to place a dumb logo there. No way.

I know a total of 0% more than literally everyone onboard here, but come on guys, the reunion is happening. It's in our faces.

  3. Well, I think it's kinda obvious that Axl sometimes rehearse, maybe not with the band. I mean, come on guys, what are the chances an artist his size - pun not intended, I swear - wouldn't? Maybe he doesn't do with the band - although GNR once posted on Instagram a pic of Axl onstage during a soundcheck or something, remember? -, maybe he rehearses only by himse... Wait, I just remembered the School Bridge concert. Fuck that. Perhaps Axl doesn't rehearse at all indeed

Strep throat.. like seriously do you think if you don't sing for a while your voice suddenly sounds like that? lol

The quality of the voice itself is the minimum on that incident. He somehow messed up lyrics of You're Crazy and Welcome To The Jungle.

  5. Hey, guys, just wanted to share a cool story about Scott I read today on reddit:

I've worked in Las Vegas casinos my entire adult life. I worked at The Palms during the Real World days and when it was considered "Celebrity Friendly" which really just meant they were allowed to go do whatever they wanted comfortably as paparazzi where not welcomed. Over the near 5 years I worked there I can honestly say I met over 2000 celebrities. The ones who you thought would be the coolest were the biggest douchbags and the ones who you thought would be the biggest douchbags were the coolest. The coolest person I've ever met and got to hang out with was without a doubt Kid Rock. I couldn't stand a single song of his and this being 2007ish it was way before it was widely known how nice he is so it came as a shock.

Then there are those who break your heart. They say never meet your heroes. Meeting Scott Weiland did this to me from growing up a huge STP fan but in end showing me why he was a rock star and not I. There used (is) to be a band called Camp Freddy. It was pretty much a revolving door of musicians who would play each other's songs depending on who was available and they were playing at The Palms one night with Scott Weiland due to headline. My restaurants kitchen had a door that went straight onto to the stage of the club Rain where concerts were held before The Pearl concert venue was built and anytime there was a show we were allowed to just walk through and watch the shows from the stage which I was planning to do the second I was off. Halfway through my shift we got an order for Scott and it needed to be brought to his room which we accommodated to celebrities frequently. As luck would have it I randomly got grabbed and told to take his ribeye up to him. I went up to his room and knocked on the door and heard somebody yell "It's open". I figured I was going to open the door and 30 groupie whores would be inside all coked up, but nope. It was just Scott laying halfway on the bed with a near empty bottle of Jack in his hand watching the movie Last Days which is "loosely" based on Kurt Cobain's life. I'm really good at being a professional and not acting star struck. Celebrities, the cool ones, like being treated like normal people and they treat you much better when you do. As I'm unwrapping his food he starts talking to me and asking me about myself. He was shit faced, slurring and emotional. He began telling me about what bullshit that movie was and how Kurt wasn't like he was portrayed in it. He told me how there was originally a different video for the song Creep that was directed by the same director as the movie, Gus Van Sant, and that he made the band dress up like transsexuals and kiss each other and before I knew it I had been up there nearly an hour. His assistant came in and called me outside of the room and thanked me for hanging out with him, no thank you was necessary, but that Scott had recently quit heroin again and that's why he was acting that way. I went back down to work and couldn't believe that just happened but then remembered that he was supposed perform in less than 2 hours. In my mind there was absolutely no way this guy was going to be able to perform and he'd have to cancel further ruining his depleting reputation.

So I finished up work and went onto the back stage. Over the course of an hour I watched Dave Navarro, Jerry Cantrell, Duff Mcaggen, the singer from The Cult, etc perform and in my head I thought I knew some thing nobody else did and that shortly it would be announced Scott Weiland was canceling. When all of a sudden Dead and Bloated starts playing and Scott comes out dancing, singing perfectly and absolutely killed his performance. That night I learned the difference between a rock star and the rest of us. RIP.

Edit: Wow, thank you so much for the gold. It's the first time I've received it. It's much obliged.

Edit #2: A person asked me what year this happened in so just to double check I looked up the date of the show. Coincidentally, strangely, or whatever you want to call it the concert, and thus my entire story, took place on December 4th, 2005. Meaning that it was exactly 10 years to the day from the day I met him until his death. Fucking weird. Here's a link to the original announcement for the concert: http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/scott-weiland-to-perform-with-camp-freddy-in-las-vegas/

  6. Although it is an unofficial announcement, Brazilian journalist Jose Norberto Flesch is reporting that the original members of Guns N' Roses have solved their legal issues that were preventing them from having a reunion tour.

According to Flesch, "Heads up! The 'possible return of Guns' story is stronger now. I've heard that the legal issues have been solved. Now it's up to the band."

"Guns already has an offer ($$$$$$$$) from Coachella for a long time. It was only a matter of solving their issues."

"European festivals are also anxiously awaiting for a resolution for all Guns-related problems."

Loaded reported that venues like Wembley Stadium and other major U.K. festivals are in discussions, although they note that they may be looking at two years before any of these shows happen. In the past, Axl Rose had a sour relationship with the Reading And Leeds Festival organizers in 2010 when the band showed up an hour late.

Rose said of the incident, "Our start times at the Reading And Leeds Festivals factually had nothing to do with us as the previous bands came offstage when they did and went on within our contracted and documented changeover time period."

"If you are aware of our changeover time, the average length of our show and the general nature of how these types of festivals run all of which are no big secrets... why book us?"

"Having the fans of our show penalized for how the event was ran," he wrote, "seems a bit draconian and more than unfair."

"I didn't organize, arrange, authorize, have knowledge of or was even consulted about... these shows oil after the fact," h said. Rose also noted that after cutting their set short, the organizers also put the safety of their fans at risk as well. "Why... risk having it go bad for everyone?" he wrote. "That's where true recklessness and negligence at both the fans and our expense would seem to be."

"God forbid we would force ourselves on anyone," said Rose. "It's not that kinda party."

This has been discussed before on the Reunion thread - and this will probably be sent there.

That said, overall Flesch is trustworthy, but he does he get it wrong from time to time. Him posting that means nothing.

  7. I wish there would be something announced tomorrow.

But there will be nothing at all.

Tomorrow is a fantasy date set by us here at the forum. It's a deadline completely of the forum's creation.

Sociologically, it's fascinating to watch how a group behaves this way. Literally NOTHING has been said from anyone other than "it's very cool" offhand comment from Slash. That's literally the ONLY thing which has happened from anyone directly connected to the situation.

And for some bizarre reason, tomorrow is the expected press tour junket? How on earth did that happen?

Im so proud to be part of this.

  8. OK, so the general consensus here on the forum is as follows:

Axl is on a strict diet and working out really hard, and he's broke. Slash is broke because his ex took all his money. Slash is working hard on adding his guitar parts to ChiDem2, while Axl is busy in the rehearsal studio with Duff, Izzy, and Steven/Matt every single night.

Slash and Axl sit down every night and spend hours writing music together. Izzy chimes in, too, while Duff is the glue which holds all the new songs together.

GNR will play the Superbowl halftime show, and then they'll play surprise shows on the Sunset Strip, followed by a headlining slot at Coachella. All of this has been booked already.

That about sums it up, right?

You forgot to add that free concert they'll be playing in Copacabana for 1,5 million people. But other than that, it seems you got it all right.
