  1. There it is boys and girls, GNR's complete first demo tape, recorded at Mystic Studio in Los Angeles in August 1985.  How's that for holy grails ???

'Don't Cry' was officially released as the b-side to the 'Don't Cry' single in '91.  Everything else is previously unreleased, especially in this quality.

Thank you so much for sharing !!!  Thanks you for making the files lossless !!!

Hurry up, before they get taken down...

... or wait until they get bootlegged in Japan

That album is probably the worst live album ever. I would rather listen to any soundboard of the concerts.

That's totally irrelevant.  We're talking about eras, not the actual album.

However, I'd rather listen to the album Live Era (even with the '99 vocals), than anything since '01, at least he could still sing in the '90's...

If you notice, it's the same usual folks who are that way and it's to the point of humor now. I used to battle with them for years and now I just don't give a shit. They're welcome to say whatever they want about how they can't understand how I would like this or that and it just doesn't register with me anymore.

    Good !  That's settled then.

All this time later it still shits me when people can't understand some of us actually enjoy the different eras of Guns N' Roses.

I would rather listen to a show from 2002 to 1992. Reason for this is I dig the "industrial" element the sound had more than the 20 person "Big Band" bullshit.

At the end of the day it's all Guns N' Roses, to me. I just prefer certain era's to others.

    Live Era '87-'93.

    Nuff said.

  4. Aaaaaaah the 'Skin n' Bones' tour ... started out so promising, ended up so dissapointing...

Especially the European run.  If you look at the '92 European leg, compared to the US/Japan shows in late '91/early '92, the shows were shorter, more predictable, more boring.

But if you look at the '93 European run, shows started dropping under 2 hours for the first time since the start of the UYI tour.  Setlists were even more predictable than in '92, less songs, always the same songs, always the same opener (rings a bell ?!), the acoustic set was getting even longer and killed any momentum the shows might have had.  I find the '93 European leg to be the least exciting part of the UYI tour.

The 'Skin n' Bones' tour had started out so promising.  More focus on the UYI material, more deep cuts, more rotating in and out, ... New stage, new line-up, new weight for Duff ... It didn't last very long though.  By the time they got to Europe, they had dropped almost all the good bits of the US leg : 'Garden Of Eden', 'The Garden', 'Nice Boys', 'So Fine', 'Reckless Life', 'Yesterdays', 'Nightrain', 'Don't Cry', ...

If you went to see GNR in '91 up till April '92, there's was no way of knowing what you were gonna get.  Shows ran up to 3 hours, openers rotated in and out, there were one-off deep cuts, there was a core set and different songs rotating in and out.  If you went to see GNR in Europe in '93, this was basically what you were gonna get :

    1 . It's So Easy
    2.  Mr. Brownstone
    3.  Live And Let Die
    4.  Welcome To The Jungle
    5.  Attitude
    6.  Double Talkin' Jive
    7.  You Ain't The First
    8.  You're Crazy
    9.  Used To Love Her
    10. Patience [w/ Imagine]
    11. Knockin' On Heaven's Door

    12. November Rain
    13. Dead Horse
    14. Band Introductions
    15. Drum Solo
    16. You Could Be Mine
    17. Guitar Solo
    18. Godfather Theme
    19. Sweet Child O' Mine
    20. Paradise City

If you went to see GNR in the US in late '91/early '92, you had a good chance of getting this :

    1. Welcome To The Jungle
    2. Mr. Brownstone
    3. My Michelle
    4. Live And Let Die
    5. Attitude
    6. Don't Cry [w/ Shannon Hoon]
    7. Bad Obsession
    8. Double Talkin' Jive
    9. Civil War
    10. So Fine
    11. You Could Be Mine
    12. Wild Horses [Intro]
    13. Patience
    14. Pretty Tied Up
    15. Band Introductions
    16. Drum Solo
    17. Guitar Solo
    18. Godfather Theme
    19. Sail Away Sweet Sister / Bad Time [Intro]
    20. Sweet Child O' Mine
    21. Piano Solo
    22. November Rain
    23. Move To The City
    24. Yesterdays
    25. Rocket Queen [w/ It Tastes Good, Don't It?]
    26. Only Women Bleed [Intro]
    27. Knockin' On Heaven's Door
    28. Estranged
    29. Mother [Intro]
    30. Paradise City

You'd also get 2 backing singers, 3 horn players and a second keyboard player thrown in for free

  5. I don't hate CD.

    Amazing album.

I hate the fact that he just HAD to call it GNR, and ruined the GNR legacy in the process...

I hate the fact that he deliberately chose to sing like Mickey Mouse on his own album

I hate the fact that ONLY Axl manages to delay his own delays, and not communicate about it AT ALL ... while blaming everyone else except himself for it all.

I would have had no problem with Axl and his hired musicians, if they'd just called it what it IS, an Axl Rose solo album.  They're probably all excellent musicians and nice guys.  I hate the fact that each and everyone of them went along with the charade of calling that 'band' GNR...

... and that none of them had the balls to tell Axl to stop singing like a chipmunk and start singing like Axl Rose

2 years of solid touring and AC/DC would like to speak with you...

Axl is a great frontman. His wardrobe is important to certain facets of his showmanship, and it's not like his singing is shit.

He toured for 2 and a half years on the UYI tour, and sang better at the end than at the start...

I have no problem with his wardrobe.  In fact, he can perform naked for all I care.  If only he'd stop singing like shit ...

Facts? Dude come on I mean honestly if you cant see how this makes you seem very petty then all is lost for you

All wast lost for GNR around 1996 ...  If anything is petty, it's what they've been calling 'GNR' since then ...

As for me, all is not lost for me, I still have and always will have the memories and the recordings of the real deal ...

Fortus is not in your preferred lineup of GNR, but its still GNR.

Fortus has never been in ANY lineup of GNR.

It's not because you're a hired musician and play guitar on stage (or as a session musician in the studio) that you're IN the band.

Bobby Bandiera is NOT in Bon Jovi.

    Fortus is NOT in GNR.

Why are we still discussing these facts ?
