  1. In regards to you last post. People don't buy anywhere near as many albums as they used to. You bringing up MJ is a rare case because he died and he was massively popular, it sparked a fire because pretty much everyone loved MJ. Everyday artists(even former superstars like Madonna, George Michael, Prince etc) don't sell close to that on any given day. Music is selling, but no where near what it used to. Back then a huge album would sell 20 million worldwide, nowadays getting over 7-8 million is VERY hard.

nah man, I agreed with that point. People download a lot more now, no album is gonna sell like they used to. MJ was the exception but also shows people still do go out and purchase. Downloading can't be used as a generalized excuse all the time. If you look at the charts, people are still buying albums they like, and not just new releases. Guns GH, Dark Side of The Moon, Abbey Road to name a few are still selling enough to make the lists, while CD is nowhere to be found. If people wanted the album they would buy it, certainly they're buying something, otherwise there wouldn't be a list, right?

  2. Its been out for almost a year and a half and for other than diehard fans, it was a forgettable album collecting dust on the shelves.

Is the tour helping sales at all? I haven't seen any stats.

    You suck, cease posting.

I've seen some of your posts unfortunately. You suck alot more. Follow your own advice.

pretty much all albums are collecting dust on the shelves. why do you think there have been so many music stores shutting their doors for the past few years?

Music stores are shutting doors because you can go to places like Best Buy and Target or the supermarket or oder albums online, no need to go to a specialty store anymore. Albums don't sell like they used to cuz people download now too, but it doesn't mean music isn't selling in general. Example, Michael Jackson sold over 1 million albums in a week last year. People are still buying albums they like and want.

  3. Slash don't appear to be the fighting type. I doubt he'd fight anyone.

True. Other than that charge Perla brought against him and dropped years ago, I don't recall any other violent incidents ever. Whereas Axl bitchslapped a photog just a month or 2 ago. For a guy pushing 50, it's kinda lame. Like he still needs to prove to himself he's a bad ass or somethin.

  4. ????? Am I the only one that thinks Slash's "great," "admirable," "respectable" comments were nothing but pure horse shit? I think he says things like this to do nothing more than piss Axl off. After Slash pipes up with his usual "Oh yeah, Axl's great..." comments (that he KNOWS will get some bit of media attention, and thus his comments will eventually get back to Axl) to a large audience, everybody is all surprised and it's not uncommon to hear things afterward like, "Wow, see? Slash really does have respect for Axl. What a class act!" and "See! Axl really needs to move on and forgive..." However, as Axl told us himself, behind closed doors it is a MUCH different story than what everyone is used to. My guess is that to this day, the bullshit lawsuits and time consuming litigation rage on. Slash is probably responsible for Axl having to jump through many hoops to be able to give the concerts that he does, sell the merch that they do, etc. etc. etc. Bottom line: Slash loves to try and piss Axl off by making himself out to be such a saint, when only the opposite is true. I'm sorry, but I see right through Slash.

Slash said a long time ago he let go of the bitterness and took his share of responsibility for the band breakup. His nice comments about Axl have been consistent for years now. Axl's negative outbursts get a lot more media attention than positive Slash ones. Everyone heard Slash is a cancer, but how many people are going to be talking about how Slash thinks Axl is fucking great? Not exactly headlining news, and if Slash saying nice things about Axl actually pisses him off, then his problems go way deeper than anyone can imagine.

Axl wanted the name and is cashing in. Lawsuits are about business, not emotions. Former band members aren't the only ones who have ever slapped Axl with court papers. Blaming them for problems like getting Axl off his ass to tour an album for a 3rd time, a year old album that he didn't bother to promote when it first came out and that took him a decade to make, is reaching for a bunch of excuses.

  5. LOL at how people bag on Slash for playing with Fergie, CH, et al. I foget how awesomely super cool Bubbles is, and Bach too of course.

Anyways, always good to see the respect Slash and Axl have for each other. . Well, one of them does at least.

  6. Sweat Child O mine, lol.

But it's good to see Axl in the news again, and for something that doesn't include a fight or jail time.

Looks like he put in a good workout, sweating will help him drop a few lbs.
