I havent seen either Rebels or Resistance yet. Im excited to see more of Ahsokas story (no spoilers please! ). But I'm less excited by Resistance although, given its 6 months prior to TFA, I really hope it will reveal the origin of the First Order. That would be huge, imho.

I've seen all 7 episodes of Resistance so far and I don't know... don't really like it. Animation is just meh and so far the story isn't that interesting - at all.

But Rebels were cool. I think some of the original/pre-"new hope" art and concept were used and the story in its core was rich. Not Clone Wars level, but close enough.

yes rebels and resistance both count as canon since they were only created after the sale to disney, but like you said none of the characters have crossed over into the movies (not yet, at least), and they're aimed at children anyway.

But on the other hand, Rebels has some heavy stuff (which is canon)... Bendu, Ahsoka and Darth Vader (time-force portal), Maul, Mandalor, etc. That's not just something to ignore.

I saw it today. Really good performance by Rami Malek! Also, the Live Aid is outstanding.

^ I think Rebels, Resistance and Clone Wars are canon.

New trailer for SW Resistance... looks a bit better, but stilll - meh.

Probably not worth its own thread... looks kinda dumb.

First impression - seems promising!

I've always liked Shadow of Your Love. Sounds great with breathed new life into it.

I would say they are my favorite band too. I do think their Mick Taylor era produced some of the greatest songs ever... unfortnunately too young to see them in the 70's, but I saw them with Mick Taylor on stage in 2014, and they still are a totally different band with him.

They surely are a nostalgia act for too many years now, but hey, they are the Stones. They've achieved everything, so nobody expects a new grounbraking album from them. I like (most of) their post 1994 stuff... the sound on Blue & Lonesome is outstanding imo; but even if they continue to tour with the same old 20-songs-setlist-of-greatest-hits, I'm fine with that.

But if I would have to choose a favorite era, I would say the Brian Jones one. Just listen to "No Expectations"... one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever - in all its simplicity. But on the other hand, the same is "Love in Vain" with Mick Taylor playing it live.
