  1. Me either, thanks. I though it was going to be some idiot posting one everyone's seen from the 90's or something, and was about to go off..

    Maybe some other time..

  2. Always fought it was cool when Axl wore football shirts well soccer as some daft folks refer to it as..As he wore one since Argentina 1993???

I'd like to see him wear an Argentinian football shirt if they play there again soon

  3. Anyway didn't they just play a show 2 months ago, what about the long silences there'd been during this bands quest to release an album.. we have twitter and members constantly updating and stuff yet everyone's bothered that Guns can't be on the road all the time

  4. GN'R reminds me of the movie Groundhog Day.

You guys are being idiots, you do realize that people in the US have not got to hear-Sorry, This i love, prostitute, shacklers, any of the songs on CD besides mad, blues, better, and i heard TWAT in NY in 06, so they fuckin better tour the US with a Chinese Democracy Tour, cause i will be pissed off if i cant hear those songs live. People are never satisfied, just like the leaks, people want more and more and more

Because they can't do that after doing something new first?

Seriously, why not tour the US after at least 2 albums of material is out, that way they can balance or have the majority of the set as new Gn'R stuff, and really become something fresh

  5. this the funniest thread ever! :rofl-lol:

cool for you to star it

some of you, who replied already have a good sense of management Axl. you really understand the guy so  to you.

the one who said he'll start it by a drinking session is my favorite,

and I think he has a valid point.

and the rest of you, who expect to be fired in the first 5 min, well you got it! B)

well, first of first, I'd ask Axl why does he want a manager? what for?

what does he want to do with GNR?

after I get his answer, I'd calculate the time and the process needed to get things done,

and inform him about it, and that's the way I intended to do my job,

so after I'll get his approval, I'd start doing all the necessary things to accomplish the management target I got from him.

so, if a music manager would act like this, or something like it,

I guess all things would be grate between them.

and now to get a little crazy here,

I'd tell him to put out the rest of Chinese Democracy music as a double album.

I'd manage then this with the music company.

to make around 4 music videos and launch 2 of them in the same time with the singles, which would be release by a time spam of 2 weeks one after the other.

then, after another 2 weeks the albums would be release,

then, after another 2 weeks the other 2 videos would be put out there.

so, with 4 great music videos in GNR style, with 4 great songs

(which ever of them, because, this is how I like each song that I know of GNR, that each of them could have had a video)

GNR would be all over the place,

and the success of selling the albums would be immense,

    kind of the UYI.

    and you know why?

because that's why UYI sold that good, because they were promoted through music videos - that's how I got into GNR in the first place, and that's how a fresh new generation of teens would get into them all over again.

so, then the same people would get back to Chinese Democracy as they did back then in the '90,

after they heard UYI, loved the songs, and decided to have all GNR discography - that's how I did it,

and that's how a lot of people react when they get into a new band (for them new).

and my guess would be, that around 5 mil of people would increase the numbers of GNR fans, in one year.

then whenever they, the band would feel prepare for another world tour, I'd get things done so that they could do it.

so, do I have the job or what?

    I wish you did.

  6. Did Axl authorize that interview???

Lol, as much as i'd like to argue, I have to admit I saw a bumblefoot video of theirs in which bumble's guitar tech alludes to having worked with 'the man in the top hat', which they took down after a few days and uploaded an edited version with that cut out.. :rofl-lol:

I don't know if that was a request of Axl's though..

  7. For all his flaws, I'll take Ashba any day. Oh, come on! anyone's bestter than Finck!

He was an alright rhythm player I guess (+ the opening riff for CD is his only shining moment imo), but Axl's obsession with giving him solos brought New GNR down big time.

Ashba, musically, is just there I guess. Other than Ballad of Death he hasn't impressed me (but to be fair it's been his only original thing so far, so there's room for optimism). Saw them twice this year, BBF owned him big time, in every respect, including image. He doesn't try to be cool, genuinely enjoys playing, is damn good, and that's what makes him cool in my book.

But seriously: Finck? I haven't noticed this new love for him you're speaking of, I was surprised when I read the topic title. I thought people were mostly ok with Ashba.

Just fire all guitarists and bring back Buckethead!

The problem with Bucket is that while he's a great guitarist, he is overly technical, to the point that even his melodic solos feel technical and calculated, planned out. Even his Electric Tears stuff...It's pretty yes, but it doesn't feel natural. It just feel like it just came out of his head, it feels like it was carefully planned out.

He never just dives in and finds the monkey.

there is so much wrong with what you just said i'm not even going to try

  8. I've always preferred Robin to DJ, by far.. I guess you've only just noticed it from the re-done Better rumour thing.

Also: If you really think about it for yourself, why do you prefer a bland poser guitarist over someone unique who has skill and can make brilliant music, sure Sixx:AM was ok.. but it wasn't much more than generic hard rock crap.
