Some of the people (though not all) insisting it's Fortus seem to be desperate to believe that Slash would not "allow" an ex-member to stay on a new song. Which is absurd for multiple reasons.

I think both Slash and Axl have grown up a lot since the Sympathy for the Devil don’t touch my solo shenanigans

Yeah it appears their idea of great promotion (and probably why it was delayed a week) was to give Audacy rock stations in the USA the song exclusively to play one day before it officially came out. It also seems based on Audacy’s description of the song that they may be trying to mislead people that this is a new song that Axl/Slash/Duff wrote together…

According to an official release, "Perhaps" was "written and recorded by Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan this year," and is their "first collective new composition and recording together in thirty years since 1993’s 'The Spaghetti Incident?'"

Check out the band's brand new single "Perhaps" all day Thursday, August 17, beginning at 12AM ET on your favorite Audacy Rock stations.

Interesting. Could Perhaps be from 1994-1995?

I agree with Jarring, it also seems completely unnecessary to leave it in. I’m not a huge fan of the Slash solo here but it would have worked better if it went straight into it WITHOUT the bend. It really does sound like a mixing error, even though I’m sure (for whatever reason) it was intentional…

The bend being left in just makes me wish Slash played the original solo ☹️

I’d also like to know why people think we’re getting Atlas. It hasn’t been on any setlist yet or soundchecked that I know of.

Richard had a sitar style guitar pedal on his social medial and someone commented it was for PTU and Richard replied something like ‘yeah, and for something you don’t know about’ and we. Concluded Atlas. Pretty sure I remember seeing Atlas on old ALT lists too but might be mistaken.

  5. Is it just a recording of a jukebox playing out loud that we have? Nobody able to rip the audio directly from the tunes thing or something?

Anyway, I’ve heard the jukebox recording. I like Axl’s vocals and lyrics but what is that Slash solo 👀 Could have had a soulful face melter on this one, building up to something epic, instead it sounds unfinished and not like Slash ☹️
