  1. This thread can be deleted now because after watching the yt vids from Orlando theatre show and especially the opening Jungle performance it's clear that Axl is moving better than ever and with more more fire and energy I've seen on this tour so far!

  2. Did Axl really start the Dublin concert at 10p.m? That's early for him isn't it. Isn't he going on much later on the current U.S tour?

Pretty sure it was about 10.25pm when they hit the stage. But if I remember rightly they hit the stage at shortly after 8pm at the RDS in 2006. So maybe some fans were expecting similar last time.

Not that late, but a big wait between support band, coupled with stage setup/instrument checks , which they repeated a few times got the crowd in a foul mood. So Axl would have had to stand on his head to turn it around for some. A little bit of interaction after Chinese would have helped.I'm not talking an apology for a late start, just a simple good evening would have calmed the majority. His silence was like a red rag to a bull and his first words were not the say hello, but to warn us that they would leave the stage. Anyway there were other problems that night that have been gone over before, poor communication from the venue/promoter about a rumoured curfew and a closure time for their carparks and a section of the audience that had quite a lot of alcohol consumed. Hopefully this time it will be people who are ready for a late one that turn up. But if what I heard is right and it is sold out, then I can't see 15,000 hardcore fans. So I reckon the promoter/venue and Guns management can take a few simple steps prior to the show to keep a lid on it. I had a great time at every Guns concert I've been at and I'm sure this time will be no different!

Great thanks! Hope it'll be great!

Just checked on ticketmaster and there are standing and seated tickets left, so not sold out. And the seated ticket I was offered was for block E. So they do appear to sell off the poorer seats first, which they make us think are the best available!

I held off too and got got good central seats now!:) I hate the way they release the side seats first! So mean and deceitful money grabbing bastards! ha

  3. Happy birthday Kat

I just love his normal singing voice! He has such a rich tone and he sounds effortless. It really frustrates me that he doesn't use it enough. He would really sound great doing more acoustic ballads like Patience or do more soft covers. So much wasted potential 'sigh'

  4. Any ideas on why Axl and bumble walked off stage?

I wanna clear this up. Axl threw down his mic and walked off stage. The rest of the band walked off as well, except Bumble who was over by his amp. After about 30 seconds, he shook his head and walked off as well. Then, after a while, Frank came back on and everyone followed. So it wasn't just Axl and Bumblefoot.

Is there vid of this? Thanks!

  5. Axl threw his mic in the air and walked off then whole band except bumble. Bumble was in so much pain sitting on a amp. He then put his finger up and said 1 min and walked off stage. Then a few mins later band came back. Not sure what happen. Axl was extremely happy then this happened. He then went to being happy again

Band didn't know I was streaming. Well bumble did but I didn't let tommy know lol. Tommy gave me his Gnr wrist band!

And they say this guy isn't bipolar! Sorry bad joke!

  6. Philly was def Axl's best vocal of the tour so far but the main difference I felt in Philly was that he sang like he meant it and was committed to every line and I think that's when he has his best nights vocally. Sorry was incredible. It's great that he's getting better.

  7. If he doesn't go, someone else is going to turn it into GNR karaoke night.

It's better to speculate that he's not going and then be surprised he showed up.

There's other people in that room he's had issues with in the past.

Yeah, Myles will be at table 10 on standby.

haha now this is something I can believe could really happen!

  8. Ugh yuck.

    1. I'm not a fan of Myles voice and

    2. musically it sounds like any generic rock n roll band. It actually just sounds like something that Alterbridge, Nickleback, Seether etc all those rubbish bands

This! I can't believe this is the same guy who wrote those amazing riffs in Appetite!

  9. Axl got his voice in killer shape lately. He obviously makes taking care of his voice a priority. He has had 48 pretty amazing shows out of 50, the exceptions being Rio and last night.

Seriously, shut the fuck up and stop whining.

Remember what Dave Grohl was talking about at The Grammys - the HUMAN ELEMENT??? I love Muse's music, but if you want an "absolutely correct" live show, go see them half a dozen times like I have and ask yourself if any of the songs sounded remotely different from one show to the next, or if you heard a single mistake at any of the shows, and then ask yourself if that's "humanely" possible and if you're truly watching a "live" performance.

Be fucking grateful Axl works his ass off and gives you a REAL live performance (for over 3 hours usually). I'm sure he's aware that backing tracks and autotune are readily available options for him. He could very easily choose to cut corners like 90% of touring rock/metal bands these days (whether you know it or not).

He had a bad night, yet he kept at it for three hours and didn't bitch or give up or cut it short. How about more notice of that??

    This!

  10. Holy shit, last night was EPIC. Best set list ever. And fucking Civil War, again, THE BEST SONG OF THE NIGHT. Something about the way the new band plays it, with three guitars, just makes this song hit so hard. Late night. Got home at 5pm. Axl showed up at the after party around 4. Left in a fury around 4:45. Always drama! LOL...

    Please details!:)
