I may be closer to the stage than expected. I guy I know that comes into my work is a professional photographer. He's been talking to the Hall about shooting the induction for them. He showed me the email where they said they'd get back to him with more information on what to expect. I told him I'd be his assistant and just carry all his shit if I could help with that.

That'll be pretty awesome if it goes through.

Not Guns. The Rock Hall themselves told the photographer guy they'd get back to him with details about possibly photographing the event for them. He'd have an "Up Close and Personal" pass, if you will. Pretty damn close to frontline photography.

He shoots for venues all the time. Just shot Rise Against I think and he photographed Springsteen for the location in 2008 on the Obama shit.

That really was a strange thing for a promoter to say if it wasn't true! Of course no point getting hopes up!

As long as Beta and her family around, Axl will forever have the memory of Stephanie Seymour breaking up with him and the immediate years that followed in his head.

I understand that he found someone to comfort him after personal tragedy. But that doesn't necessarily mean Beta was the best person for that role. He should have sought therapy from licensed psychologists instead of pseudoscience.

Remember how upset Axl got after a poster likened Beta and Fernando to Britney Spears' maid and her maids' son? That's what sparked the original Dexter chats.

I know Axl supporters will chime in with "it's none of your business!".

Well what *is* my business is knowing that all things can be forgiven, and that holding hatred in your heart causes it to blacken.

I think Axl is capable of forgiving the past, but others are persuading him against it.

The ultimate question:

Why won't they let Axl acknowledge and let go of the past? What are they afraid of?

I'm a big fan of Axl and I think there may be some truth to this. But who knows he may have sought proper therapy over the years but some people are incapable of getting over their problems similar to drug addicts in which some people recover completely then some relapse again and again and some unfortunatlely die. I think it's good that Beta has been there for him over the years as a mother and friend but I think there is likely to be some unhealthy dependency and control from both sides also. Also the expression 'you are who you surround yourself with' comes to mind. I mean Axl hasn't changed that much over the years since he's been around Beta. If anything he has become more angry. 20 years later he still refuses to bury old rifts with bandmates-still calling Slash a cancer in 2009 and bashing some poster on the net calling her a 'lesbian'. He still living in the past. If you're living with positive people wouldn't that influence your behavior and lead you to mature and move on. I always wonder what happened with Slash that could've been so bad for Axl. Who knows haha

The riff rip I immediate thought of as in when will the feud die?! But then that wud be rift and I'm reading too much into it again! I just want old Gnr to play together for one night!

This is simple.

Axl has no real family except two half-siblings.

Beta wants to make sure she will always have his money at her disposal and make sure Fernando gets a lion share of Axl's estate when Axl dies.

If they push Axl back out there with the rest of the guys and Axl's social circle grows her position gets compromised.

As long as Beta is the new management, we will never see them back on stage.

Her goal is to hold Axl down and make sure she is always #1 in his life. The only way to do that is to keep him locked up and satisfied in his current world.

The reason a Brazilian maid is able to do this is because Axl had a traumatic life. I'm not making excuses for the guy but he clearly has serious psychological problems from his childhood - feelings of abandonment, unloved, no support, etc. Like a parasite, she is feeding off of this and using his problems for her own gain.

This is not a good sign. Looks like Slash just can't wait til this is over and done with. Pity that this can't just be a great night to celebrate their achievements and play together. One wonders why it has to be so miserable!

It's hard to tell what was real or not in things we were told by Merck.

This says a lot and it's typical Axl. Does anybody else (yeah, I know! whatever..) think that Axl's main problem is that he doesn't communicate with his collaborators (the band basically), leaving too much power in the hands of middleman who are incompetent or have interests conflicting with Axl's? Members of the old members also said in many interviews that they barely spoke to Axl directly in the 90s and all communication would be through agents, lawyers etc. I mean, if you're gonna work with someone you gotta talk to them face to face.

Yeh absolutely and this has been going on for years and is a reason for alit of his problems. I think Axl is not aware that he does this. Even Dj said he recorded his solo but he doesn't know why. This is one example. There's a lack of direct communication with Axl and th bandmembers.

At this point there is no reason going on about the past. Buckets work with Guns is amazing but Ron is very capable of pulling off some amazing shit too. I want to hear what the current lineup can do.

Ron's work on Chinese is phenomena. I loved his solos for Scraped and Riad and look forward to hearing more of his stuff.

GN'R fans tend to live in the past, Buckethead's days are over, time to move on.

Axl confirmed Robin's work on the next record is done, as well as telling a fan "Bucket's solo on Silkworms will blow our minds" so as long as their work remains, we are hopeful.

Who knows if that record will see light of day. It seems some current members (Ashba) would rather work on "new material" which can screw up the process of the unreleased material.

If there's any unheard Bucket/Robin material for GN'R I'd be the first in line to get the cd but at this point they probably wont see light of day.

Hmmm but the current members have stated that they have not recorded as a collective as of yet... I don't think Axl would discard songs like Thyme, Atlas, The General, Seven etc which were worked on for years and years and even hired orchestras, harpists, producers, other guitarists(Brian May etc) just to suit his current bandmembers..

I know it is crazy to spend all that money and not do anything but it sounds like something he would do.

Dave Urner (@URNER1) is the owner of PennyLane Entertainment Group and owns bars and clubs across Canada I believe. It was his birthday and I guess Axl celebrated it with him/them? What gunsguy said next post down.

Bubbles is Mike Smith's character on the Trailer Park Boys and Axl is a fan.

I am pretty sure @URNER1 is the owner of a bar out west that had the girls working for them when GN'R came in and took them on the road, in 2010 the shot girls handed out shots to the crowd at the end of every show. They are nice girls

Everything about this is so much just what you'd expect from a typical Guns N' Roses event they're involved in. It just seems like nobody gives a shit and nobody is making any decisions on who should be doing what. Why even show up then? I thought it was BS at first but I really do think everybody is just gonna show up with absolutely zero planning or communication ahead of time and they'll just wing it. I'm not even holding my breath that they'll all go up onstage at the same time with each other. I don't think Axl will have a speech, either. If he talk it'll be like 10 words and that's it.

You've nailed it. It's looking like a mess more everyday. From all the interviews with Slash, Matt etc.. it's all "we don't know what's gonna happen"! It's so disconcerting and weird. Nobody is making any effort call eachother to do anything. It's like they're so ungrateful for all the success they've achieved.

Duff's comments were the most telling when he said he used to be that guy who would try and make sure everyone was on the same page, but he's not anymore because he doesn't care to put up with all the bullshit. He was the only guy who there was any chance of making an effort to sync up with everybody. Matt and Steven aren't, Slash isn't, Axl sure as fuck isn't and Dizzy isn't based on the fact that he's still IN Guns and doesn't even know what Axl's gonna do or what's gonna happen. Nobody is making any effort here. They don't even have to talk to each other directly, these guys have a million agents and managers that could do all that shit for them if they wanted to, which is the key here. They clearly don't want to. It seems like everyone is waiting for someone else to make the first move and nobody is, so nothing will wind up happening in the end.

It's just so disappointing to be a GNR fan when shit like this happens. Axl is already a laughing stock to all the common rock fans who say Slash is GNR, it's just Axl's band now, etc. and the fact that they can't even get on the same page and put their shit aside for one night FOR THE FANS that made them more than anyone else is embarrassing.

He's lying coz he refers to Axl as his best friend! So he's never asked his best friend and bandmate Axl about what's gonna happen? I wish Duff wud just try to get them together one more time!

I was reading over Axl's L.A times interview from last November and he mentioned he doesn't want to be the "bad guy" and spoil it for everyone by giving a kind of protest speech in the style of Michael Moore. I don't know but I read it again and this it came across as if he won't attend the ceremony coz he can't say anyting nice and he doesn't want to spoil it for others like fans. Did you sense the same thing?

That Matt interview is a bit disheartening knowing that there's been no communication with Axl but I suppose it's not surprising. Also if anyone should be the drummer for HOF performance it should be Adler. He was the best drummer for Gnr..

I've said before that I think DJ's trying to get Axl's attention with all these repetitive-ass interviews. We get it DJ. You're a songwriter/producer and you didn't join Guns just to be a session player. Awesome. Pick up the phone and tell him that, cuz we're all getting fucking bored with this non-stop nonsense about how you've been writing the next GNR album, which we've been hearing since 2009.

Didn't know that Axl was such an art collector. Does he paint I wonder?!

Axl's mother was an artist and Axl used to paint, probably still does.

The girl in the video is Coco from the band ZiBBZ. New album, single coming out.

Everything she says is very much in tune with how Axl is. Night on the town, after party. He's a nice, unaffected fun guy who loves to tell stories.

Until he isn't.

We'll have to see what happens when this video gets in his face. I highly recommend saving it before it goes away.

ETA: Axl was definitely on her, figured I'd check further, and LOL! Wasn't her boyfriend, its her brother. ZiBBZ is Sibs/Siblings. Coco (Corrine) and Stee (Steve). Fairly far along in their career (she sang with Brian May). Trust Axl's luck to land one with a popular video blog.

On hearing the full track it really had more potential to be much grittier and stonger. The into and riff are really hard rocking and cool but the song kinda becomes generic. Myle's voice and the solo lack the and anger that say Axl would sing it with. That riff is seriously really cool, the track really coulda been so much better.

I hope they are at the table so that Axl can finally meet Perla haha. All those twitter messages she wrote about him-she's weird! But seriously I wish they'd get over the drama for 2 hours! They're all a bunch of oversensitive weirdos in many ways!
