“Guns N' Roses will be unveiling more news and surprises soon. Get ready!”
Possibilities could be openers, new dates, new music. Any other ideas?
Where is that quote from?

In the e-mail it says: This year's packages are limited-edition, only available to Nightrain Members (while supplies last)!
What the hell does that mean?? I'm not a current member, so only current members can get the package? And what exactly is limited edition??
Is that accurate? Can non previous members not buy it?

When you consider the chilli peppers came under huge criticism for paying a lot of their new material recently you can sort of understand why GN’R don’t deviate from the script too much. I’ve said it before but if the general fan thought a tour was going to be a tour featuring new material they’d probably less likely buy a ticket. The fans desperate to hear new or rare songs like us are the minority.

It would be nonsensical to announce the us tour before the Europe tour. Hopefully they'll announce both at the same time.
With a new single would be good!

People over at festileaks are pretty certain we're getting an announcement for graspop this week and that it's gonna be GNR. We'll see if they'll announce the whole tour as well or just that show. But at least we might get something.
Is there a day they are meant to announce?

Aye, 4tus was with them at that time too, so it was some shift he was putting in night after night!
No, his tenure was over by then. It was Damon Johnson. Richard came out and did a song with them on some shows.

Ah ok yeah.....that was probably the case for the 2012 shows I saw then, but I didn't spot that advert!
Like to have seen that leg of the tour a lot, with those supports!
Absolutely great support acts. 2012 tour in Uk was great.

I realised yesterday my nightrain membership has ended. I didn’t get a reminder to rejoin or anything.
The option to join is last years merch still with the exclusive Hardskool single.Best case scenario everything is coming soon…tour, new nightrain, new song.
Worst case there is zero plan.

GA isn't sold out
For some reason there 3 GA options. One which lets you in an hour earlier. 1 of the 3 GA options is sold out.
GA is sold out (all tiers).
yes- primary entry still remains & Gold circle etc but the fact the cheapest tkts have all gone. It’ll sell just fine.

I see Hyde Park General Admission is now sold out. With over four months to go & hopefully some strong support it’s gonna do very well.
It would be a great show to film. Hyde park does look pretty spectacular & the big wrap around screen will be good for the graphics.
I hope something is coming. If they are doing Glasto it’s an opportunity to really boost awareness again to wider audiences.

For people who have gone to concerts in recent years I'm curious at what the general perception of the Chinese Democracy songs are and if the people there are generally aware of them?
I’m always down the front but “Chinese Democracy” the song seems to get a very positive response.
I think the reunion has been good for the overall appreciation of the album.

I saw the band 3 times in 2021 and they were just amazing. Metlife, Chicago and Florida (night 1). Florida stood out because of the intimate size of the venue but I was beaming hearing casual fans around me marvel at how Axl's "still got it". And he did/does. He was magical that night. I was also one of those unfortunate suckers standing at the stage at Welcome to Rockville before the rain and lightning came.
What surprises me about 2023 is that their first port of call is to head back to London where their shows were all but disastrous. Hyde Park attracted circa 100,000 fans over 2 nights for Liam Gallagher. I'd be staggered if they got a quarter of that. That said, when the Summer rolls around and the weather is good people might head along. Glastonbury however is the mecca of UK headline acts and is televised live. Unless Axl has musters the 1992 version of himself they'll never sell a ticket in England again. When you're there singing along it's so great. On TV, less so.
When MetLife 2021 had 40,000 fans I was staggered but then again that was the first big gig in NY/NJ post Covid-19. They haven't been back since but I just cannot gauge what sort of audience they'd draw now. Maybe MSG for 10,000? Can't see another stadium tour.
I think you’re getting mixed up. Liam Gallagher did Knebworth. That’s not in london.

Given the fact there’s still loads of availability for Hyde Park I’d say the poor show at Tottenham has dented their selling power a bit.
interested to see what gets announced.
I just hope they go down the “new dates, new song” route..- 1

Why so much flak for the interviewer? You think Slash is going to answer the questions ya'll want answered? Answer ... He wont
Actually that’s not true. He told us new songs were coming when asked last year…it’s his answers don’t come to fruition.

Wow…this is excruciating to watch 🤣

What a bizarre festival.. never seen such a mix of different genres at one festival!
They should change the name to MadRandom!
Are they all on one stage?
it’s a pretty strong line up. Something for everyone. Uk has so many festivals they all get diluted.

Like I said before in this thread a lot of these dates are probably being withheld until the festivals are announced. Festivals have a lot of power and usually want to announce their lineup before the bands break the news of their touring plans.
Once the lineups come out the rest of the dates will come out. This probably has nothing at all to do with management, but moreso the agreements the band has with the festivals they are playing
Which European festivals haven’t announced their line up?
I can’t see it being Glastonbury holding it up. It’s already sold out. GN’R appearing or not makes no difference.

I thought it was very nice. The humility/anxiety that was evident in his speech is the paradox of Axl.
piano playing was great & he looks good. Not sure if his collar was intentionally a nod to Elvis but it was certainly a cool image.- 5

Not necessarily. Kendrick Lamar was set to do both in 2020, The Who did both in 2015, Arcade Fire did both in 2014, The Rolling Stones did both in 2013 (playing Hyde Park twice), Stevie Wonder did both in 2010, and Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen did both in 2009, so it's not unprecedented
Judging by that list it’s a tend.
Metallica did Sonesphere the weekend after their appearance. -
Just watching the proshot footage from reading 2010. It’s brilliant. This I Love vocal is incredible

They're going to get torn to shreds sadly. There's already a mixed reaction mainly because Glastonbury has been viewed as a very progressive festival, 50/50 women men, lots of alternative acts from different backgrounds and race. and the 3 headliners are 3 white rock/pop acts. and obviously GnRs history doesn't always fit. Someone needs to infiltrate and show them all of the vids of axl hitting the trump pinata, or the tweets. But yes, rolling stones got abuse on social for their live performance, paul mcartney, jay z etc. Unless axl sounds like 2010 and they cut a lot of the crap in the set (meandering solos, unknown covers) they will never be able to set foot in the UK again.
What a load of rubbish. Yes, there will inevitably be click bait headlines about why GN'R don't fit Glasto (Just like when Metallica played) but to say that this press will have a big impact on their following in the UK is silly.
I hope they shorten the set and do a "best of" but I doubt Axl will compromise.
Glastonbury is the Insta festival. It sells out before the line up is announced. I personally can't understand why they'd want to play it. Although their spotify streams and tshirt sales probably will sky rocket.
No proper GN'R fans will be there (or very few) so I see no reason for your claim they will never set foot in UK again.
Also, they don't have to air the full performance. Stones only allowed a few songs. GN'R will probably take same route.
Those who were here in 2010 will remember the Reading Show got bad press...but the tour later that year was a big success,

It won’t happen until Team Brazil continue to manage Guns N Roses. Management has to push it and that means confront Axl.
Chinese Democracy was released only because Irvin Azoff and Andy Gould started to give a shit to Axl’s last minute desires.
Well they released two songs..and slash said there were more coming.
