They updated it so it says the full words now. See my attached video. But the clip they use is at an inconsistent tempo, so it makes it hard for the fans to get it right. I don't know why they don't have it at a consistent speed. Maybe they try to have it start slow and then speed up, but they're not going to get 50,000+ people do be able to do that right.

Edit: the attached video doesn't seem to work, but take my word for it, they replaced the G N R with Guns N' Roses.

Correct it was changed to Guns N Roses - then it went from different speeds to one - I guess people can't chant in time or are a little too shy these days :-)

I think most of what I said was "I think" implying that it's my opinion. I am just basically getting at that maybe Axl is a private person who didn't feel he needed to show he cares in front of an audience, he might have done something for Slash's birthday that we won't hear about.

I'm sorry if my post came across as something offensive or ignorant in your mind. Just trying to show a different perspective for the people concerned Axl didn't sing happy birthday to Slash tonight

The entire happy birthday song conversation topic is idiotic. Let me predict how you feel now - perhaps you are seeking affirmation by posting psychoanalytical theories about a man you've never met at a show you didnt go to. You eagerly trawl internet forums looking for information that makes you look like you are knowledgeable on certain subjects and you invoke a passive stance in order to avoid confrontations by caveating where you are able to in order to give yourself a way out of arguments ?

I think the biggest thing is Axl doesn't want to come across as putting on a show for the fans that all of a sudden him and Slash are great friends. I think he's working really hard behind the scenes to show he cares but to display it in front of everyone has a sense of fakeness to it.

We don't know how he wished Slash a happy birthday, or if he got him anything.

Axl is known to be a caring person and to do things for others to show how much he cares. But we hardly see it displayed. I think things are great. Axl doesn't need to say anything on stage to convince anyone that things are ok, I think he's trying to make it all as sincere as possible

Lol, what horseshit, telling us how Axl thinks and feels,  is that also from your Periscope experiences ? Lol seriously , get a bit of a life at least.

Wow.....that was a magnificent RQ :headbang: Though, I wouldn't mind it if it was a little shorter, the jamming part is kinda longish

Too bad we don't have a better video. Why aren't there good videos for these last couple of shows? I don't get it, we had plenty of those from the beggining of the tour....

Perhaps because people are watching the shows and enjoying themselves ?

  5. Let's spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on screen tech to have a single logo doing nothing..... I've been to several shows (rather than YouTube) and the visuals are striking and add to the entire experience it's a Stadium tour not a bar gig.

A lot of them seem to have come from the Chinese Democracy alternative album art like the Chinese Democracy hands , the 'fucking' Skeletons, Catcher looked like the IRS rat (not sheep) artwork, the sprinkles in It's so Easy,

Guys, lets collect the anger in an own thread. I hope it will stay in the main section.

Here are a few points that I don't like so far. Its my own opinion of course.

-slashs, duffs and melissas contributions to CD material are disillusioning. Slashs solos sound improvised and saulless (except for TWAT).

-the interaction between the band members on and off stage seems to be very professional. Steven Adler was an absolute highlight which broke this impression.

-the band is rushing from song to song. Franks drumming is too fast and not smooth enough.

-dizzy looks almost useless and isolated.

-4tus and Slash doesn't fit perfectly together.

-melissa is cool and you can see that she is proud to be part of gnr, but I don't know what is the Plan with her musically.

-too many boring covers. KOHD 2016 is the worst version of the song yet. Wish you were here / Layla makes no sense to me. The Seeker is boring. Riff Raff and whole Lotta Rosie were much better.

-the nonexcisting interaction with the fans outside the concerts is getting ridiculous. Its 2016.

-it seems like all of them have a gag order.

-no slither or slash material, but a lot of CD material and boring covers...

-it feels more like slash and Duff joined a chinese democracy tour...not a reunion tour...

-too less elements from the past are being used on this reunion tour...no uyi intros by slash, no artwork from the past...

    -the lack of new material

-the setlist is not varied enough

How many shows have you been to ?

The posts in this thread are a bummer. We've got Guns N' Fucking Roses firing on all cylinders, performing some kick ass shows, and people are arguing about Chinese Democracy songs, whether members are good in the band, wanting other members back. Shut the fuck up. Go to a show and stop bitching. July 19th was the greatest night in my life, GN'R was fantastic, and coming into this thread expecting reviews, photos, videos and being met with "Well they should probably play more of what I want and less of what you want" is fucking lame.

Well said ! It's ridiculous as fuck the incessant moaning and nit picking by those who scrutinise Periscope on a nightly basis. Periscope is not a place to be watching live music on expecting it to be as if you were at the venue.
The shows 'rock' , we have 3-4 out of 5 original members but let's moan about a set list and invent fantasy role playing scenarios whereby we try to predict how people they have never met think and feel, clueless.

    Movie of the day- Idiocracy

  8. Big screens can take a rock concert to a whole new level. Ask Trent Reznor or U2. The 'badass rock n' roll car crashes and naked girls' imagery Axl uses is probably the worst use of big screens in a concert I've ever seen. Shows how Axl is nothing more than a hard rock 80s singer (including their bad taste and creepy/sad obsession with naked girls).

I am not even a fan of NIN, but I saw them and Soundgarden this summer and NIN was a sonic and visual assault. Amazing show, and the visuals completely added to it.

  9. Great reporting, not , they did play a new song , The Bluesbefore he went off sick....

Yes, they did; and it was only Chinese Democracy song I was expecting to hear anyway.

Sat show they played IRS, Better, The Blues, as well as more covers, much preferred the Sat show atmosphere was much much better, I was surrounded by morons on the Sunday night show. People behind didnt know who Izzy was, the fat lady in front of me kept shouting abuse during the solos "Get the bloody band on", Stewardess who was a total moron pulling faces at the music, when the pyros went off that served her right :-) - as well as Axl's mood on Sat was much better and intergrated.
