  1. And one last thing - those 30+ songs that were left off Chi-D won't be wasted. And they saved the best for last. Lang leve de revolutie! ;) about 12 hours ago via web

Sounds like it could be the next album name... who's Lang btw??

Lange leve de resolutie is dutch for: long live the resolution.

    Not revolution?

  2. In the 40s/50s they did it all the time. But then again they had a higher family value and respect for what marriage is.

they also had housewives whose only skills were to cook clean and make babies

who were not encouraged to pursue higher education or find a job ,so they had to rely on their husbands for support

many of these women stayed in these marriages because they had no choice, not out of love

todays women are more independent educated and self sufficient

marrying at 18 sounds like a joke, in the states they cant even legally drink at their own wedding

if 2 people are in love whats the rush to get a piece of paper

    Great post!

  3. Come to think of it, I'd rather have nothing than more CD sounding material out

I dunno man Checkmate sounds sick

Haha, yes but you also think CD is the greatest album of all time so I'm guessing we have different tastes.

I'm actually giving CD a listen as we speak to try and accept it. I really want to. My biggest wish is for Axl to have kept his Lies voice though :(

checkmate sounds better than anything on CD (my opinion)

honestly give CD a fair chance. every time you listen to it you will hear different sounds from all speakers. it's quite a phenomenon.

Just wanted to let you know I'm making progress. Just added Catcher to my playlist!

  4. God, all of a sudden I'm feeling disrespectful for calling Shackler's "crap" when I know Axl is a member here. It does deserve respect of course, not just one of my favorite even from CD. It's got an OK chorus, but god I hate messy solos, the one from Shacklers barely qualify as music.

  5. No, I don't think so. I think there were more exited casual GN'R fans who did not know what to expect by the time of the release of CD, than there are really nerdy AFD fans who would take interest in remastered stuff, at least without bonus tracks. Maybe it would sell more than CDII though, if it doesn't have a hit single. Now the old casual fans know what to expect.

  6. So when is Volcano coming here to argue that Slash could not replace BBF cause he might have written these solos, but he cannot cover parts in some techno crap song that approximately 100 people in the world want to hear live?

  8. I have a friend who likes to see herself as a rocker who said "Slash, is that the guitarist from Metallica?". Seriously I think Slash is more recognizable for obvious reasons, noone looks like him. But if you ask for a short resume on them people might know more about Axl (that he is the singer of GNR, not any other band, angry fella). But on the other hand that might just have to do with the name Rose.

  9. It's not a great show musically, but at least is a GENUINE show of Guns n' Roses, there're not guys pretending be Guns n' Roses there, that's Guns n' Roses, that point make it epic and hsitorical.

I did not remember seeing Tracii Guns at that show.

Eh? Because anything without Tracii isn't a genuine GN'R show? Tell me how you are thinking here. Btw, the word "original" was not mentioned in the quoted post if that was what you were after.

  10. Well it is kind of a weird opinion. I think it's due to the basic fact that it is one of few pro shot concerts from that time. If you want to claim that they were best in the 80's, it's easiest to point to that concert. But it's like, how would we know if it was the best show? All we know is that the guys in the band weren't happy with the concert at all. At least Slash says so in his book, don't know if I have read it elsewhere too. It seems to have been a bad night. On KOHD you can hear Axl say "they're gonna think we are the sloppiest band in the world but I don't give a fuck". I think it's kind of him admitting they're having an off night, like he's trying to save their reputation on MTV. With thad said, I LOVE watching it.

  11. The one with Kid Rock could've made it I think. Btw, him being on the album makes me think of all these mutual friends Axl and Slash seem to have. How does that even work?

Edit: I would SO like to hear Axl on something with the classic rock sound of Slash's solo album. It just never go out of style, as opposed to the Prodigy intro of Shackler's.

  12. The popularity and Facebook likes that Guns N Roses has does not stem from the release of Chinese Democracy.

    Opinion.

I am sorry, but even if CD is your favorite album, which I respect, you cannot seriously think this.

Let's be realistic...it is a combination of many things INCLUDING CD.

I am open to the suggestion that CD has rendered some likes on Facebook. But you also have to see it in terms of alternative costs - how many likes would a semi original GNR have had if they had kept going?

  13. Seth Macfarlane is just too blatant in using his characters as mouthpieces for his views. Most shows do it, but with Seth it's just way too patronising. Even if I do agree with some of the issues.

Yes that is true. I agree on most of the opinions he is advocating so for me it is not an issue, but I can see why it would be for some people.

Anybody seen The Life and Times of Tim btw? Fucking brilliant.

  14. I love The Simpsons, and I disagree with all of this "the first seasons were the best", which is an argument that reoccurs whatever show you are talking about. It is mostly not true. They are showing the first season of Simpsons here now, I was so disappointed when Homer did not even have the same voice!

And what retards are saying Family Guy is a bad show? It's fucking hilarious! It's like the refined Simpsons; not very original but taken do the next level. I love Stewie, he is the best character to ever have appeared on TV. Brian is a close second.

  15. Haha, I didn't even notice it was a woman singing at first. But she did it damn well. Really great song, but the cover was maybe a bit too close to the original. I mean she didn't have to do the "let me se you try" and "take that one to heart" and everything. Anyways, such an underrated song. One of my favorites on AFD, great to see it get some love.

  16. She'll be absolutely fine, I'm sure she doesn't care what some moron on the internet thinks, besides you should understand the internet and how serious it is before you propel yourself into it.

Look at Justin Bieber and all the hate he gets, he seems fine last I heard. This girl is gaining attention fast, and I'd bet she's happy about that fact.

    this.

the day i get emotionally upset over something someone said on the internet, is the day the internet dies

Maybe if 100 000 people were talking about how ugly you were, you actually would care.

No idea who Rebecca Black is btw.

but i know i'm not ugly

and unless she's retarded, she knows she isn't ugly either

point is, it's kinda retarded acting like the internet does not matter. It's real life.

wrong. the internet is the internet

    ilr is irl

the internet is a mean of communication. Whether you type something or you say it out loud does not matter, the opinion is equally true. If thousands of people you did not know expressed hate for you, of course it would affect you. It's their first impression of you, of course you would be devastated if nobody liked you after that.
