  1. To some of the reactions on this topic, some of you said "it doesn't matter, it's just ONE GIG". I think you're very wrong if you think that. It wasn't "ONE" gig, it was "THE" gig. Months to rest and prepare it. There's no excuse.

If you're gonna put your foot on the biggest rock stage of the world, you got to deserve it and be prepared. I still worship the Axl that used his passion to good service in the 80's, 90's, and to some extents the 00's where I think we got incredible moments, tainted by sadness, trials and other shit. But I don't accept the man who played Rio 2011 as Axl Rose. It wasn't Axl, it was his shadow. I still believe he can reborn from his ashes but it'll take hard work and sacrifices.

As fans of the man, we have to be hard sometimes. I'm sorry but if we're all saying "it was a good show, doesn't matter if he was a bit off", then things will never change. It's also a lack of respect to the beasts that are the members of this line-up. I stay on my position. This Rio show was a complete disaster and it pained me even more watching videos in HD again today. It's just not acceptable for the biggest stage of the world and for the months of preparation Axl had at disposal and the legend that he is.

Thats right,it wasnt just another GIG,IT WAS ROCK IN RIO,where was the voice? where was the band? Forgotten lyrics? Falses in the solos and weird sound? Ron Thal seemed like a caveman who came from jungle,Axl with this stupid yellow jacket reminded me tweety the bird :rofl-lol: ,you're gonna play Rock IN RIO and your perfomance look like a small tribute GNR band and ppl looking frozen wondering...

After that i saw Metallica's concert in the same GIG,absolutely was much better from Axl's and co band, especially when they played ORION in the mind of Cliff.

  2. Axl's vocals was out of breath, really, and estranged was a crap performance, the band was mediocre, they lost solos and riffs,BBF sucked with his mask.Wtf,you play Rock In Rio and you play so bad? Man,this is Rock In Rio,so many ppl watching you around the world!:thumbsdown:

Axl's vocals were perfect throughout the concert! I JUST WATCHED it and I think you pussies are full of magets.

I understand you all are bored, but this was a rock and roll concert. you should hear jagger from time to time.

and by the way..he doesn't look fat...I dont know why the f*^k I listened to you guys. your all full of sh*&T.

Hey dude,we all heard and saw the concert,Axl and the band were not so good, dont tryin to bitching without a reason. And yea,Axl was FAT. Iggy Pop is 20 years older and look how good he looks.

  3. 25 years ago today - Cliff Burton RIP

It’s been 25 years since the passing of Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, and we still love and miss him as much now as ever.

25 years ago today, the metal world lost a brother and a true talent when Cliff Burton tragically lost his life on one dark morning in Sweden. It was during the European leg of the band’s Damage Inc tour in support of the seminal ‘Master Of Puppets’ that Metallica’s tourbus skidded off a main road just outside the small city of Ljungby, claiming Cliff’s life and changing the lives of the remaining three bandmates forever

Cliff’s short time on this planet yielded a legacy that any musician would be proud of, including three of the greatest heavy metal albums ever recorded in Metallica’s 1983 debut ‘Kill ‘Em All’, 84 follow-up ‘Ride The Lightning’ and the genre-defining ‘MOP’, as well as a reputation as one of the most forward-thinking and naturally gifted metal musicians to ever pick up a bass.

  4. Well,i think its a good album, better form the last album wich was boring and uninspired, Welcome 2 my nightmare 2,sounds funny, when i first listen to Disco Bloodbath Boogie Fever i was like wtf Alice, whats this crap, but then i laughed, what baby wants its good song too :xmassrudolph:,anyway ok of course cant compare this with the first nightmare, but damn Alice makes fun.

  5. From the first part of the song until the half TWAT seems boring to me,the second part of the song along with the second solo is very good with a really insane solo and insane vocals from Axl.So,when im hearing TWAT i prefer to pass quickly the first 2-3 min.

  6. I want to see a reunion because the band I am seeing now is not Guns N' Roses.

Thats a truth, but i dont want to see a reunion with slash at 60 yo without hair, axl at 63 fat as cow, duff to looK like a skeleton etc, reunion never gonna happern any time soon, the priority of Axl is CD II,tours for CD II,maybe a CD III...or anything else for the next 10 years and more.

  7. Our criticism of what GNR has become its right but to say Axl what to do isnt right. GNR become what Axl wanted to be,thats all.

*Its really stupid that most members here have a problem with quoting, wtf is this? Are you quoting 100 quotes to give an answer?

  8. The fall of a big band,Geoff you must retire this name,Queensryche are DEAD,dont destroy the history of the band with crap music.

QUEENSRŸCHE Singer: 'Rock Is Pretty Much Dead' - July 18, 2011

Classic Rock: Songs like "Wot We Do" sound like hip-hop. Can rock fans handle that?

Geoff: Well, I think they should. Rock is pretty much dead. If you look at the numbers, it's definitely not the music of the times anymore. If it's gonna keep moving, bands need to embrace new ideas. There's a lot of elements to rock that, mentally speaking, are kinda boneheaded. Like the whole "chunk-chunk-chunk" guitar progression — the stuff you play when you're learning the damn thing. You would hope bands would get beyond that.
