I think 'Better" is the best of the three leaked tracks so I would vote for that as the first single. On the other hand, I think people are right that it may be too different from classic GnR to start with it.

Anyway, speculation is rather pointless about this. We'll just have to wait and see -- the only question is whether we'll be waiting weeks, months, years or forever.

Slash would be too good to be true, but I can't rule it out completely. With Guns you just never know.

Ron Thal (Bumblefoot) is another frontrunner I would guess. I've long held the theory that he was actually hired on...after the leak (for lack of a better word) that he was offered the position, the GN'R camp denied it. But I've always had the feeling that it was just a cover up until they were ready to announce it and that's he's actually been a part of the band these last couple of years. Hmm, we'll see.

Are GnR' looking for another guitarist to replace BH? Unless, Axl has re-recorded his parts on these songs.

Guys, please keep your opinions about Jarmo to yourselves, because we don't promote forum wars here. I'm surprised comments like that aren't removed over at HTGTH, but regardless of that, we don't condone that sorta stuff here.

Here is the story how I got the demo cd A friend of mine came back from vegas he said that the demo was recorded while axl was playing it at a vegas club not sure which one but his daughter works there she got a copy and gave it to her dad he new we are huge fans of gnr and mike and wes a copy of the demo we have had this demo since november 2004 so many rumors are out there that we might be axl or we work for him not true we are fans just like you so many people want this out there and so many dont so you let me know if you want it out there

I don't think so. Becouse this is the same version of IRS that was leaked a year ago. Ergo the one on the demo CD that trunk got. Someone has been holding on to a few copies of that CD for years now. It was actually a matter of time before the song was leaked.

It had been stated earlier that 'Better' wasn't on the Trunk CD, so he either got 2 cd's, or IRS hasn't changed since '04. Just a thought.

When IRS was leaked last april, there was speculation that there were several different copies out there. I'm guessing, Axl sent out some different cd's to different people.

there's definitely a circle of people who have these cd's in their possession... one of them will eventually realize that these cd's are out there for a reason, and finally nut up and post the rest of better and TWAT. iit's inevitable, t's just a matter of who does it.

here's the thing, if axl is still in nyc this week, then today should be the day for an announcement. otherwise next week he'll be gone. i think if there's no news by this evening, someone should go ahead and post the rest of better. it could be a good way to get other people the nerves to post TWAT as well... if so, i say we'd all be happy.

I found out who Wes really is. His real name is Wesley Andersen. He works for Axl Rose's manager. These songs had to have been leaked on purpose.

So where are they? I only have 80 sec of Better.

And it's a 3-4 year old demo. That's not promotion for a new record.

Leaks are part of the industry now.

Before the album is released more songs will be leaked - that's a fact, it's what happens thanks to something called the internet.

I bet you all these people saying "don't leak it" will download all these songs when they leak. I know I will, and i'll still be at the record store the day it is released buying multiple copies of the albums.

If it leaks, it leaks. If you don't wanna hear it, don't download it - but I simply don't believe that any of you will refrain from downloading it.

Agreed. All facts. But as I said before why all the requesting into thin air towards nobody in particular when you know it's not allowed? Management and the forum crew are just doing their jobs as well.

I never claimed I wouldn't download it if I have the chance. But if a record company askes not to share it and a forum decides to make that a rule, I respect that.

I'm meant to listen to what management say? Is this the same management who keep the fans so well informed about the bands progress? Because if so, I'm not that interested in it. The management work for the band, I don't work for the band or the management. I'm a fan, and a big one at that, and I want to hear the music - I'm gonna pay for it anyway. If you ask me management's tiny response on the leaks proves they are involved in bigger things at the moment and that the leak is small fry in the grand scale of things.

And as for the record, the record company haven't commented on the situation. I'm a firm believer that the record company leaked IRS to Trunk in the first place, and therefore I doubt they care whether you leak the songs or not. Geffen lost interest in GnR around late 2004 when Axl failed to deliver the album then.

You may respect the management, and the rules the forum makes, but just because you do doesn't mean that anyone that doesn't is an idiot. They might be fanatics, but at the end of the day, everyone who wants TWAT and Better to leak will buy the album regardless of whether it does or not. If a GnR track is available I wanna listen to it, and no "please don't share or talk about the track" comment from Sanctuary, or hypocritical rule from Madison/Eric is gonna stop me.

I was the first happy about the leaks. But shit!!

The more I listen to Better, the more I find it's fuckin' awesome and could definitely has the potential to be a lauch title/hit single.

I'm very happy I got the chance to hear it (and I listened to Better almost 3 hours non stop yesterday) but I feel kind of sorry for Axl.

Let's not spoil his work. respect his wishes and wait for the fuckin' album to finally come out.

Apparently we don't have much time to wait.
