  1. He apologized in 1986 at the first pro-shot show. Druing Nightrain: "Apologize for the FUCKIN technical dificulties"

also, he apologized for the 3 and a half hour delay in 2006 Budapest

  2. What if let's say Ashba or BBF or Frank, every other night came to the venue a couple or three hours late, and had some excuse in the spirit of Axl's excuses (that he needs to prepare mentally to give his best etc). Do you think Axl would tolerate that and be understanding since he has the same thing happen to him too? Or would he be instantly fired?

In this case, they loose their paychecks...

  3. As I said in the other thread:

Anyone who wears a Slash solo shirt to a NuGNR gig is looking to stir up shit and probably deserves to be kicked out.

An AFD shirt is one thing, but a Slash or VR shirt is just a "fuck you" to the guys onstage.

    This is your logic reversed:

A Slash solo or former members additions is just a "fuck you" to the guys who wrote the music...

Not to mention the members who played their own solo songs at a GNR show

Anyway, kickin' somebody out because of the clothes is ridicoulous and pathetic as hell

if you agree with this decision you're a clown nevertheless.

I'msure Axl himself doesn't give a flying fuck of this or ordered this nowadays...

  4. There's at least half an hour he's not on stage when adding up all the solo spots and jams. I checked that based on Dublin and Glasgow bootlegs. Add on the time he runs off for solos in the middle of songs, I'd say that probably adds to another 15-20 minutes.

The show is between 2h40 and 3h, so he's probably on about 1h45, maybe slightly more. In all honesty, that's still the standard length of most normal shows anyway.

    this

plus in the old days Axl need breaks too...

    bit of off topic, but

    bootlegs?

Somebody please upload this bootlegs to the Downloads section?

  5. The UYI band had some amazing shows and also some crappy ones. Axl has always been Axl.

I don't think Axl sounded good in paris 1992

    agreed

I don't think Axl sounded good in paris 1992

    but this is :rofl-lol:

  6. I think people considered it in a different way.

But the masses still pissed off, because Axl doesn't want a reunion, so... :shrugs:

Okay people. First off, it's like... 2012? Nobody gives a shit about this anymore but yes, Chinese Democracy is a great album. We all love Axl Rose (at least he's the reason why I'm here supporting his ass), but definitely the album would have been received differently if not released under Guns N' Roses name. Axl Rose kept the name (because Slash and Duff gave up -- let's not forget they GAVE UP) and he decided to use the name with new members. So here are the questions:

    1. Do we agree? Yes and No (personally, No).

    2. Does Axl give a shit? Of course not.

    3. Does it matter anymore? Unfortunately, no.

The original band which I consider the best line-up EVER, had to break up, Axl was insane and Slash and Duff were dying on drugs. You can't work with junkies (Slash and Duff) and you can't work with crazy bitches (Axl Rose) either. Axl decided to continue, can we just give the man some fuckin' props for all the shit he has taken over the last 20 years? It doesn't matter whether his decision to keep touring the world under Gn'R name was right or wrong. At least, not at this point.

    Great post

  7. Now that we have the lower echelon of the Slash fans out of the way; is there anybody here that can show me evidence that I'm wrong?

I am pretty sure that I'm right on this, but I am completely open to some intelligent discussion.

Most of the UYI songs were written way back then AFD...

Even the 1989 rehearsals show up to that lineup write songs together. Axl (and Izzy at some points) is the only one, who play the lonely ranger game...

    So, yes, mostly you're wrong

"Slash wrote his solos to mostly completed songs, just like Ron did on CD. "

Nope. That's a whole different story...

You just trying to say Slash not contributes on the songs, just got a song and write some solos on songs?

    Dumb
