I don't have this same problem when I go back and listen to the early AFD demos, where I almost invariably find the final release to be better. With the CD and beyond era, they are genuinely making most of the songs worse (or two steps forward, three steps back) with all the re-recording and over-tinkering in production.

Check out this video if you want to learn how to use AI to replace vocals:
Not my video, just one I watched a little while ago, seems easy enough to do but I've not had chance to play around with it yet.
You'll need to feed the program "clean" Axl vocals (no background noise/music). I'm assuming the Chinese Democracy isolated stems from Rock Band 2 are what folk are using, someone on the forum will still have a copy of those. Not sure how you could get 80/90's sounding Axl though as I don't think isolated tracks from that time are available? There are isolated multitracks for Welcome to the Jungle that aren’t hard to find. Not sure about others.

The solo isn’t terrible, but it’s bland and forgettable. Rank it against those on CD or on AFD and it would be the weakest (and near the bottom for UYI). Finck’s had more emotion. It would have been middle of the pack on CD.
The one other change I don’t like is the muddled distortion effect on the ooohs right after the solo. Those vocals were clear and sounded quite good on the demo. Now they’re annoying.

I have it slightly differently: (58) Perhaps (a-4-d.com)
I think the lyrics actually got reworked a bit between the demo and the final release. There’s a very clear S consonant in the first line on the demo (for “so” or “say”) and that word isn’t there at all in the final version. Second line sounds very different now (like “you’ve forgotten…”), third line is the same (either “want to ignore” or “once ignored,” first makes more sense to me), fourth is the same.

The verses were pretty clear, the chorus on the old leak was muddled and hard to make out. My take was:
So you got more than you bargained for
You’re all alone now
You’re surrounded by the others you were begging for
You’re all alone
So talk to the ones that you want to ignore
You’re all alone now
You used to be a little crazy now it’s so much more
You’re all alone
To me, it sounds like he was singing about himself.

Aien wrote his own lyrics for Quick Song, you could give those a shot.
https://m.soundcloud.com/aienofficial/quick-songIt is becoming all too clear
You hurt the ones that I hold dear
A final hour for us to spend
The sharp edge of justice to bring your end
(Blank eyes see only in red)
Oh, it'll happen so fast
When the blade finds its target
It won't last
Through my hands I'll play your fate
And in your heart there'll be no weight
A consequence, you know it's time
An eye for an eye, a justified crime
(Blank eyes see only in red)
Oh, it'll happen so fast
When silver finds its target
It won't last
(Blank eyes see only in red)
Oh, it'll happen so fast
When the blood starts running
All my problems will fade away
Oh, it'll happen so fast
When your blood starts running
All my problems will go away- 1

I love Use Your Illusion but those records could definitely benefit from a remastering. You’ve got all of Izzy’s buried guitar parts, so many tracks with barely audible bass, others with all these out of whack vocal layers.
-
Always wanted to see a performance with Lzzy Hale, although these days he’d definitely be getting upstaged by her vocally.
-
I listen to the leaked versions more often than the officials

He said three guitars wouldn’t work with the band they have right now, so If you’re reading any sort of a diss into it, which I doubt was actually intended, it’s actually a dig at Slash, not at Bumblefoot. The implication would be that Slash doesn’t have the sense of musicality it would take to share space with a third guitarist.

What, how could anything about that possibly be funny in any way? Seems more like it just makes sense that a song titled Cuban Skies is about cigars.
It would be funny because he trolled you into believing something stupid. Fair chance the song doesn’t even have anything to do with Cuba at all, given the record on Madagascar.

If Axl said Cuban Skies is about cigars, it's got to have lyrics written atleast, an instrumental can't "be about cigars". Points to it having vocals if he went through the effort to write to it
That sounds more like he was making a joke than a serious statement

Well, we finally got that sloppy done in a few hours instead of done in a few years mix people were always asking for. Can’t say I’m thrilled with the results, on either of the new tracks. Prefer the demo versions of both despite enjoying many of the Slash and Duff additions.
As with the final production on CD, the bass is too muted and the songs lose some of their punch as a result. Unlike CD, much of which could be described as intricate, these songs sound jumbled, despite having less going on in them than most of those CD tracks.
If Caram is the one responsible for this, I’d be happy to see him replaced. On the other hand, at least stuff is coming out now. And given the choice between getting songs with subpar mixing now or some polished masterpiece in ten years, well, I don’t think there’s a single person here who wouldn’t take the immediate option.

Particularly noticeable in the little closing line bits. Yowza, smoke em if you got em, maybe you’ll do better next time punk, alright that sucked!
Me, I was always torn over whether those were fun or cringe. Just depended what kind of mood I was in when I listened fo those songs.

If you don't know, Slash says GNRs version of the song is "the sound of a band breaking up". Axl made his friend Paul Huge, who Slash despised, play over Slashs solos without telling Slash about it. There's just too much bad history associated with that song for them to ever play it again.
In addition to that, it’s just a very boring cover that doesn’t really have any added value over the original (compare that to how far the Guns versions of KOHD or LALD stand apart from their originals).
I’d be opposed to any new covers taking up a regular slot in all the shows from now on, but I certainly wouldn’t mind hearing them as one offs at a show or two.
Paint It Black would be well suited to the current state of Axl’s voice, relying on his solid low vocals. I’d be interested in hearing Slash’s take on a solo for it too.
Gimme Shelter might be a good choice too to showcase Melissa with the shared vocals.

Wouldn’t throw this onto any of my playlists (I generally just don’t like metal songs with low roaring vocals) but the video was very funny.

Axl may have been looking to keep the three guitar arrangement he’d gotten used to, and who else was there besides DJ. May be one reason some of the CD songs dropped out of the set list permanently.

I went with low expectations based on the earlier shows in the tour, but they really rocked tonight. Axl sounds like he does these days, strong on the low songs and weak on the high ones, but he wasn’t drowning on anything tonight and when you’re there live, the sound of the music is loud enough to obscure the weak falsetto.
The setlist was the best of any GNR show I’ve been to. Alice in Chains as an opener was a real treat. Slash’s playing tonight was phenomenal. I haven’t been all that impressed with it at the previous reunion shows I’ve caught, but tonight you really felt the presence of a guitar god.
I would actually rate tonight a better show all around than the last time I saw Guns in Houston back in 2021.
