Silver Lining - Slash's and Fortus' tone work REALLY well together (and it's a nice mix in general).

Has the band soundchecked anything since 2016 that hasn’t eventually been played live? I know OMG has been on the alts list but I don’t think they ever soundchecked it.
99% Sure they have sounchecked OMG.

Oh yes this could be the start of many Live releases

Actually a great mix and decent performances all round.

It's a fully fledged publication that directly demonstrates a lack of intellect.....

Just reading through.............'Hope and me' is such low grade English. It's 'Hope and I'.
It's talking in first person. 'I' is being used in all the other sentences.

The sound engineer was told "Fernandon't make it sound professional".
I mean all this tells me is that they didn't watch the edit back. Which speaks volumes.

Why do the audio levels fluctuate so much?
In Out Ta Get me the song literally doubles in volume half way through.
I'll say it again, all this effort, all that production, all that artistry, to be NULLIFIED at the final hurdle due to AWFUL post-editing work....and then they click upload. Crap.

Would have been funnier if he'd covered 'One in a Million' instead.

What in the shite are you on about. You're talking utter gibberish, have you been drinking 😄
Not sure how you assessed I haven't been listening to music for the last 20yrs... completely wrong. The problem here is that I know good from bad, you on the other hand are a great example of a fan that cannot say if something is bad. Enjoy being a complete fool, you're excelling at it.
Yeah in funk the bass is supposed to be loud, duh! Last I checked gnr were a rock band... and the bass in rock is not supposed to overpower the guitar and be the loudest thing in the mix. You're the expert though, would love to hear your stellar mixes🤣
Finally, I never said Rock am ring was a good mix, but it was far more enjoyable than this and more balanced with the exception of a bumble solo here and there that was muted unintentionally.
Now buggar off, please and thanks!
Dude your autism is flying out so hard right now.
The world has moved on from Appetite sonics, Aerosmith only a few years later with their 90s sound did the same stylistic application of compression of bass, it's literally the 'modern' production sound we all know today.
You are silly and you type a lot of nothing.

Yeah the drums are mixed to the back, butied by the guitars and bass. Theres barely any oomph off the kick drum, no snap off the snare, the hats are hard to hear at times and the crash and rides are inaudible in places. You're fantastic for knowing the term side chain compression👏👏🙆♂️ but if you think this is great then you have no clue about good mixes.
Also, the bass is overpowering, and it's NOT supposed to do that.
I love talking to experts that know so much😄
My guy, this more of a quality mix that 90% of GN'R-live footage releases.
Your nitpicks fucking ASTOUND me.
Best pro shot? Rock Am Ring. Guess what? EXACT SAME PRODUCTION MENTHODS. Big ol' bass frequencies. You should be LUCKY there's more mixes of Guns out there like that.
'Also, the bass is overpowering, and it's NOT supposed to do that.' You are a moron that hasn't been around for music in the past 20 years. West Coast G Funk wants to punch you in the face.

This is NOT dvd quality. The people like you thing gave me a chuckle! you obviously mean people who like well mixed music. If you like to listen to dry mixes then fire ahead, the rest of the world enjoy just a little bit more of polish on the mixes.
I'll put it this way, if this was a leaked video, then this would be incredible audio quality, everyone would be amazed by this!
released in an official capacity with all the multitracks available to them to tweak, it's just lazy!
The side-chain compression use on the band is used pretty fucking well here, Duff sounds thick and fat, exactly what a bass should be doing, the guitars are present and clearly audible, and a weak Axl Rose cuts through with enough definition that you can get with what he's doing.
People like YOU make ME chuckle!

So you're tellin' me this could be released as DVD/blu-ray? Without both guitars having its own channel?
You could absolutely get away with it. Any issues? Go back to the recordings and pan em more so people like you don't have a meltdown

You cannot be serious. Guitars are a mess, drums too. Listen to Metallica live shows, pal.
This was soundboard in - Mixed - Then compressed. Literally the 3 stages a propper pro shot goes through. Just because you prefer Metallica's mixing quality better doesn't deter from the fact that this was a AAA production, you can even here the automation levelling of Axl's vocals mid lines to make his (very weak) lines audible.
Long story short, the compression and automation worked MIRACLES here.
Thanks for ur wicked input 'METALLICA SOUNDS BETTER'.....ok?....

Yes, the mix is definitely lacking Duff, and for the most part it must be his fault. When I saw them live, his bass was much less agressive and apparent than on UYI days.
A quality mixer can just increase the gain of his signal to negate that, tis a real shame that their modern day sonic production is just so off the mark. They've got great tech/sound, just needs to be focused a little more.
A bit of good mixing does the band wonders.

Great work!!
Only on It's so Easy but that's an infinitely better mix, waaaayyyy thicker.
I wouldn't be surprised if they uploaded the wrong version lol.
It's been the same trebbly shit on all their live releases (bar Apollo), give Duff some love and you improve the sound tenfold.
