  1. Is any one else troubled by the fact that this has only 1400 views?

If only 1400 people want to watch this Guns lineup for free on YouTube, how many people are really going to pay $20 the rockfuel blu-ray? 150 people maybe?

It was uploaded a few hours ago - I'm sure if you add up all the videos it gets to a significant amount.

Not everybody is on YouTube searching day in day out for this. I bet fans outside those boards don't even know it's out there. I didn't until I saw the post (so thankx to the OP by the way!).

On topic, I love Axl's mimic at the end of the chorus in This I Love, the one that follows the solo. Funny!

Quite a good show, I'd buy it on Blu-ray if it was available.

  2. Some people should just be banned.

It's quite obvious who the assholes are. Do you REALLY have to post messages of hate in this thread, is it necessary? If you don't care just don't open the thread.

Where are the changes we were promised regarding moderation? I knew before opening this discussion that there would be nasty comments. Which is kinda sad really.

"Why is this in the news section". Well because someone chose to open a thread about it. And the mods left it there. Maybe it was genuine, maybe it was to provoke such comments.

If someone from GN'R's camp is reading the boards, please do pass our messages of sympathy to DJ.

It's not going to change the world, we don't know the lady, people die everyday but it's not that hard to be nice and supportive.

  3. I think this is unfair. I don't sense any "slagging" but of course he has expressed what seems to be genuine disappointment in the dissolution of their friendship and how Axl's (in)actions let him down on a personal level. That being said, he's time and again defended Axl and said that he still cares deeply about him -- just that he was also deeply hurt by what happened re: the book. I've never seen him mention it unnecessarily or out of the context of a direct question relating to Axl/their friendship, so... I think perhaps you're looking too far into things, but let's leave it at that. I'd prefer this discussion route didn't continue.

I'm sorry if my comment was wrongly perceived - I am of course very grateful that Marc Canter is sharing stories with us - I read his section everyday.

It's not always easy to express something when English is not your first language.

  4. I am uncertain as to how much we can trust Marc's analysis. Hasn't he been off Axl's Christmas card list for quite a few years now?

What bugs me is that he always manages to slag Axl off in his posts. It's discreet, not too frequent but it's there.

    Mainly over the book thing.

I appreciate what he offers to the forum, but that bugs me.

Anyway, on topic, I'm not sure that it's hatred towards Slash that holds Axl down - to me it's like he said what he wanted with CD ( what was released and what's still hidden) and that now he just enjoys his life. Which is good. I prefer a few good albums than a 15 discs discography going downhill release after release.

Do I want a new album? Hell yes! But I'm not holding my breath for it.

  5. Your second point could be right on the money for all I know. If you ask me though, her best approach would be to make any attempt to work WITH these sites instead of just dishing out demands, insults and threats.

Would you want to work with sites that are insulting you day in day out, along with your family?

They seem to work well with HTGTH.

  6. You think the fans are bad?, Should hear what the general public thinks of them! and besides that, no fans stole the songs directly, it's all caused by the original source, not the middlemen.

The general public seems to be quite positive about the band lately, with shows going smoothly, Axl being in a good mood, people having a second look at Chinese Democracy, Going Down received some good press etc.

    Not everything is that bad.

Never said fans stole the songs.

  7. You guys wonder why the relationship with the band / management is difficult?

Have you seen the torrent of insults they get from this place?

Supposedly the new rules would prevent that - still waiting to see it happen.

I'm not saying everything is great with the band but I've never seen so much hate and insults coming from 'fans' - do you really think this is helping?

Maybe they had plans for those songs and now they have to change them because a few people stole them away...

You guys say you want to get closer to management, yet you keep authorizing people to antagonize them.

  8. I vote Tommy as best songwriter in GnR. One Man Mutiny was a masterpiece

I voted for Tommy too - really great stuff on both VGH and OMM.

I always like to see the video they did of the recording of the song, as that hotel is in my hometown.

I have stuff from Bumble and Sixx AM as well, but Tommy has a Dylan-esque sound that I like.

Wonder whoe are the people that voted for Frank. Unless I'm mistaken he has not writen music, so people are again fucking things up for others. That and thes ame old insults that are still tolerated.

  9. Where's the option for those of us that haven't 'turned' yet?

Can't answer the trollish poll, it only offers negative choices - should have the whole scope of answers.

Saw the band last year and enjoyed it very much.

Do I like the lack of new music / current state of the band? No.

    Have I 'turned'? No.
