Again u guys didnt quite understand what i ment. Maybe is my english

I even prefer for them to show up here.  I know how relevant this forum is ( specially since that dexter thing. Wich i whitnesed as a non user ).  But.. Maybe im wrong ( like i said, perhaps this is all some trolling strategy cause he'll be there.. After all, since that "not in this lifetime " thing , anything can happen")

But it also looks like it might be the other thing i said ( to sume up.. Using the forum to try change something or negociate something or whatever ).  That would be lame and deeply desperate.

Yeah, but I highly doubt thats what he's doing, and if he is we'd likely never know for certain. But the man can barely use a computer. I'm sure someone just alerted him that people here really miss that he's not here and he's thanking them. I don't get what people get from thinking "deeper" than that about it. I don't think it means he'll show up here and I doubt it has any effect on his future touring with Guns.

-The argument that they all rich in a real world it's not valid, just because I already have money I can't go for more and more?

    -This is not a reunion.

-Right thing to do by a superficial point of view, sorry.

-And yes, it WAS Izzy's band a couple decades ago and then he decided to leave

Again, I agree with some of what you're saying but not others:

-Yes, no matter how rich they are, I understand going for more. Why not?

-This IS a reunion. Its an insane argument to make otherwise. They are playing stadiums around the world cause its a reunion. Axl and Slash equals reunion. Its that simple.

-Yes, and they don't have to worry about the "right thing". Although if they aren't, in my mind they have to concede they aren't as morally great people as many thought they were. I think thats a controversial point, but I can't defend Slash and Duff any other way. Either they want it to be "right" or they want money. I really don't see how it can be both.

-True, BUT everything they play is also from Izzy's era. So while your point is right, they go about it in a way that can be argued otherwise. Duff left too, now he's gettting fuck you money, so if it can happen for him that should be available to all original classic members.

I have respect and admiration for all the contribution that Izzy has made to the band. But I do not see why they should split the loot equally. The big money of this tour is only possible by a variant, this variant is the duo Axl and Slash sharing the same stage after more than two decades. But what about the songs that made they what they are today? These songs always have been there, always have been played over and over..so this time the songs are not the headline.

I actually agree with that. EXCEPT that it means Duff should get substantially less too. As many people are there for him as would be for Izzy if Izzy was the "third" of this big 3. Thats the cold honest truth, as much as we all love Duff. So either Axl and Slash get more, which I don't think should be the case but I'd fully understand and be unable to argue with, or they all get paid equally. At least Axl, Slash, Duff and Izzy who wrote the songs and contributed to their development way more than any of the drummers in the band have. There's no way around it. Depending on how you feel about him, Duff means as much or as little as Izzy does, PERIOD. So I've never understood the money argument, cause they have enough for Duff.

  4. Just like with NuGNR, I'll believe it when I see it. There's even less reason here they have to because Axl, Slash and Duff could easily tour the greatest hits for the rest of their days. NuGNR probably couldn't forever, and were losing support in the US.

So a new album would be nice, but they don't really need it and combine that with Axl's history of taking awhile... again I'll just believe it when I see it. I truly don't believe there are plans, but maybe I'm wrong.

I don't believe I've seen it. Now I am curious.

But obsession with Izzy? Wouldn't an obsession with Slash would be more accurate?

Probably although this also seemed hilariously accurate. You see it a bit at the end of the fart tennis video and in the hall of fame one, and I think it stemmed from the fact that he was ONLY on good terms with Izzy and none of the others. And he'd just be like "my blood brother, my friend since childhood, the person I would live with" and stuff like that and Izzy did NOT feel the same way. Was just very funny the way it was portrayed. I haven't seen it in years and every now and then when I try to look again it seems its been completely erased but its different than those other two.

Yeah I remember it. i tried looking for it but can't seem to find it. I guess Lena Boon (the woman who animated all those cartoons) had an issue with it and deleted for whatever reason.

Yeah, I have to imagine its been deleted cause seriously I've searched low and high for it. No idea why that one was deleted and not this fart tennis one which is very easy to find. Sad, cause that other one was so perfect and so hilarious. Just nailed Steven's "I love you guys", Axl having this obsession with Izzy. This has a bit of that but not nearly as much as the other. Hoping maybe someone has it somewhere.

Those videos above me are close but not quite it. I found them, but the first is just fart tennis again and the other was the same characters but one I'd never seen. The one I'm talking about was exactly the same as the one I posted, on the phone, split screen, but it was a different discussion.

  7. Semi-weird question that I think I've asked here before but does anyone have this video from years ago of original GNR talking on the phone about a reunion? Its a cartoon and it just nails every person so perfectly. Would love to see it again although I'm positive its been taken down cause I can't for the life of me find it.

For anyone that may vaguely remember it, its exactly the same as this fart tennis one posted below, but that they are talking about a reunion:

Again, just a great funny video. Anyone remember it or have it? I would love to see it again and have tried for a few years and been unable to find it.

  8. I've just never heard Slash sound like those last 5 words in the sentence which is why I just always thought it had to be Duff. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I'm not afraid to admit it and I won't say the system is rigged. Obviously its divided a lot of people, and based on Downzy's story and Gill's confirmation from Marc Canter it seems like its Slash. I've still really never heard Slash talk like that "hmmm, well" which sounds completely like Duff, but hey I could be wrong!

For what its worth, I asked years ago no one was able to tell me WHO and WHAT some girl says in the middle of Used To Love Her when she yells out what sounds like "Saul!" so there have been these divides with no answer before!

Also, what do you mean the first part sounds like Slash and the rest sounds like Duff? It's one sentence. So unless Duff is in the habit of finishing Slash's sentences seamlessly like an annoying teenage couple, I think this is pretty much settled.

The first half of the rambling sentence sounds like Slash then the end with "and to all those opposed... hmph, well" sounds like Duff. But the beginning "this song is dedicated" sounds like Slash. I assumed since I've never heard Slash sound like Duff, it was Duff the whole time and he just kind of sounds like drunken Slash at the beginning.

  10. Is it Duff or Slash? Used to think Slash, cause the first sentence or two sounds like him, but the second half sounds more like Duff. I know, its stupid, but is there any definitive evidence of who it is? And if not, others should just chime in with their opinions. Its definitely Duff but I need to prove some people right. They lurk around here and I need to show them who's the boss.

Where "not tell anyone" comes from? I don't remember Slash and Duff saying anything about this song been on on the album without their knowledge. Axl said they liked it (as a joke, maybe). I know that Izzy said he wasn't asked, but Izzy had announced he would leave the band before the albums went out and he and Axl weren't communicating at that time.

Its quite possible I'm wrong, but I thought Axl put stuff on albums without anyone's knowledge and those were My World and Manson on Spaghetti. Maybe it was just Manson. Duff and Slash shouldn't have allowed My World onto Illusion.

  12. I know many that really like Easy. Its good, although its not nearly my favorite. Its like beating a dead horse but I really do think Jungle is just the best opener. Not always, and not for the life of this band, but for this specific tour it would just fucking murder. The whole point is Slash and Axl and Duff being back and nothing signifies that like the lights going out and Slash starting Jungle. I get goosebumps just typing it. I do think its a tad of a misstep, but I've also maintained I just think if it doesn't open the song loses a bit of power. Its always amazing, but it works best coming out of darkness (so opening the show or the encore). And to me, the other clear opener would be Nightrain. Easy is fine, and its grown on me more as the tour goes on, but I do think not opening with Jungle and Nightrain is disappointing. They just work so well.

ha ha ha......My World sucks balls and everyone knows it.

Well its not even a song. Its just the absolute worst of Axl Rose. I get it for the experiment that it is, but its inclusion by getting a credit and how it was included has always soured me on it. Its Axl doing his thing. Thats fine, its not hurting anyone. But don't include it on the record, not tell anyone, and actually write it on the CD and in the booklet. Its not a Guns N Roses song. On top of that, it just sucks, but yeah everything about the track from its credit to its inclusion always pissed me off. As I said, it represents the worst of Axl Rose.

  14. I always considered Lies "full length", but thats cause I know Suicide as part of the record. And I'd love another one. Half kick ass rock, half acoustic. At least two new songs in each of those formats. The others could be live. I'd love a record with 2 or 3 new kick ass rock songs, 2 great acoustic songs, 2 or 3 live rock tracks and 2 acoustic live tracks. And maybe one cover if they feel the need to officially do The Seeker.

Is there any chance he said "That's some badass shit, friend" ?

Nah, its Frank. I thought at the show he was talking to Slash, but its clear here. Oh well. Kinda makes more sense. He seems to say a lot more stuff randomly about Richard and Frank than he does about Slash and Duff. For what reason, I don't know, but he literally seems to only talk to Slash when he's introducing him. Almost like he feels Richard and Frank need more praise while its a given people are into Slash and Duff.

  16. I'm expecting nothing, cause last night someone told me Adler was there and I stupidly believed them (figured anyone who knew Adler's name wasn't just fucking with someone) and I also expected either Catcher or Sorry and something special for Slash's birthday. So while last night's show was good, with all of those things being expected and only getting the most standard set of the tour (which I still loved), I'm not expecting anything tonight. I'm just gonna have fun cause this'll be my last time for awhile.

    My HOPES would be:

    -Possible Adler (lol)

    -Possible Izzy (LOL)

    -Sorry or Catcher

    -ANY of the alternates

-More than JUST Don't Cry in for Patience tonight

But again, those are all kinda humorous things that can't escape my mind. Above all I'm just gonna have fun and relish this show with no expectations.

Are they scheduled to start at the same time tonight?

I have to GUESS it'll be earlier, but only by a bit. I saw a lot of people leaving around 11:30 cause I guess it was getting late, but hell it was a Saturday. I guess if Lenny stills goes on at 8:30 they can only start so early. But I'm thinking closer to 9:30 tonight than 10.
