  1. Slash is out there keeping it real, making music, playing live, appearing on magazine covers, and appears on the face of it to have the respect of those in the biz.

Axl seems quite different to the above. It seems he likes to protect himself, and hang out with Beta and family. Maybe he can't face reality, and just how washed up he has become. But hey, atleast he has a nice house and a cat, and a cook - life can't be so bad, can it?

  2. all i own is an unplayed vinyl of Chinese Democracy (the album) and 2x unplayed vinyl of Chinese Democracy (the single). I happen to own 2x singles, as I ordered the album on both CD and vinyl, and the singles came free. I guess some day they might be worth more than i paid for them. Don't know about the singles, but a lot of reports surfaced about the quality of the vinyl, and it not being all that.

A hobby something to keep me entertained
Plus I dig seeing all the cool items

I especially like items that are beyond rare

    like rarer.

  3. What's the last/latest picture we've seen of Axl since the band started it's break (Besides the headphones one, because we aren't entirely sure when that was taken I don't think)? I feel like it was one of the ones on instagram of the camp eating together at a table, but I'm not entirely sure.

Do you guys think Axl will look any different whenever we see him again (in terms of hair, facial hair, new stage wardrobe, etc.)? (inb4theweightjokes)

EDIT: Here's the picture I was talking about. From June.

Axl looks like a regular joe in that shot. He don't look all that happy either. Come to think of it, the girls don't seem so upbeat either. The scene oozes tension. Maybe that's just the effect camera's have on some people. Or, maybe the food wasn't all that on the night, and they couldn't wait to exit.

  4. to be honest i question why i come here, and why i show any interest in this band. I like Slash, and that's about all that remains of Guns N'Roses in any real sense. I look forward to what Slash has lined up. Axl has become a joke. I can't even be bothered to check out Axl live on YouTube these days. Will he, won't he release a new Dvd? - i don't really care. I really believe Axl's career is finished, and he seems to be the last to know.

  5. Dead serious and it's something I've been saying for years. The band is too damn awesome to be doing nothing. It's obvious what's holding them back is Axl and Team Brazil. It's been that way since the beginning. So in some crazy world if this band was allowed to carry on as Guns N' Roses without Axl Rose would you support it? After all these guys have paid their dues right? Some of you feel they should be inducted as GnR so why not let them take the name and actually carry on the legacy seeing as though Axl has no interest in doing it.

I for one would think its asinine that they keep the name BUT I'd be extremely interested in hearing their album. Without Axl I'm sure we'd have an album within 6 months. Obviously it would never work as the general public and media would never accept it. But would you?

It's hard to think about a band name, and imagine the band without it's lead singer. Iron Maiden seemed to manage it. I'm not a fan of Iron Maiden, although some of their songs are ok. I once checked out some live songs featuring the new lead singer, and it seemed to work well, very well in infact. Maybe die hard Maiden fans would disagree.

Yeah take Axl out and you get shit like the Hall of Fame Fake GNR

The HOF lineup is the only GnR I would support minus axl - in fact, I like that fakeGnR lineup better than the current fakeGnR lineup

'Hall of Fame Fake GNR' - are you dumb? those are the guys that wrote the classic songs. The same songs Axl now pays a bunch of hired hands to perform live. The Hall of Fame GN'R is GN'R, not the current 2013 bunch of clowns.

  6. it's sooo funny..

People want BF to talk, but he is not allowed to. Sure he can talk, but only about things people want him to talk about. It's all a bit of a joke really. BF should just stop talking to GN'R fans, as all GN'R fans are interested in is GN'R, not BF. Maybe BF just likes the attention?

Attention? I don't think so but I do know another "guitar player" that craves attention like crazy. He's always whoring himself out in he media, you might know him.

    DJ Ashba?

    guess so.

  8. We all know nuGnR has always been heavilt criticized by fans, the general public and general media but the question is... When was nuGnR most popular, in general?

Off the top of my head, I'd say they've still never been accepted by the general public. I believe they had a legit shot in 2006 an 2008 with the media due and in turn the fans. The media was full of great things to say about the '06 shows and the professional reviews of CD were very positive in '08.

I'm not too sure *the general public* even know Nu-Gn'R exists. Their music simply isn't in *general public* world (radio/television).

  9. Rock in Rio II version is by far the best IMO.

It was the first time I heard the song (back in the day). Had a slightly quicker pace, which suited the basslines and the feel of the song. The outro is great (the first outro scream is lower pitch, then he nails you with a higher pitch second scream). Even the 'Ok Nevermind' is still etched in my brain.

Then when later versions (and the studio version) came out, the slower pace just made it seem more sterile and subdued.

    LA

When they first performed the song in Rio, i thought it was the best new Gn'R song. Somewhere between that moment and the album, they messed around with it to the point (including re naming the thing) i lost interest.

  10. Looks like evil Axl is to blame for all the wrongs of the world again. Axl sure played a big part in the breakup for the reasons he gives but would it really hurt Slash that much to admit that he was a heroin junkie at that time incapable of controlling himself let alone decide anything related to the band. Shouldn't he mention Duff was on the verge of killing himself too due to the terrible alcohol addiction he had and that both of them have drug induced memories of what went down. Does he see that he fuelled the media's bashing of Axl post breakup by accusing him of stealing the name.

A reunion can never happen until the day Slash mans up, realizes and admits the part he played in the breakup and reaches out to Axl publically admitting he made a mistake by not having his back when Axl disappeared for a decade. It may be too late anyway.

Slash already attempted to go man to man, by visiting Axl's house to let tell Axl 'ok you win.. - what did Axl do? sent Beta to the door :D

  11. I doubt it would happen. If it did happen, then it would have to look like Axl's idea, and then you'd see Axl on stage with the rest of Gun's, and he'd probably say how great it is to be back with them, and go as far as to dis the hired-hands.

Nah, Axl's too good at burning bridges like it's not his fault, and is well on the road to getting fatter and fatter, acting like all is well.

  12. My guess is, people go to see Axl to witness the tension, of a man some view as a perfectionist, others see as issues, a control freak who never seems to have enough control, who's band never seem's to be 100%, atlease in his eyes. They go to see a Circus. I'm not too sure music comes into it all that much.

  13. Okay, let's keep this really simple. Everybody write 'We want new music' on this post. Once it reaches tens of thousands we'll tweet Axl this link. Then it will be finally clear what the fans truly want. No debates on this, let's just let him know directly. If we fail, then we can't say we didn't try to get through to him.

I really doubt there will be more music. Axl must have felt stung in failing to release a single hit song with video with his lastest album, Chinese Democracy. None of the songs from that album play on the radio, and without a music video, none of them appear on TV either.

Don't re-call Axl making those moves, ever.. heh..

Richard Black of Shark Island claims Axl stole his moves as does Vicky Hamilton in old interviews. Marc Canter has posted here stating he does not believe this to be true............

Many Popular bands and personalities came to see Shark Island, that's a fact, and many took elements home with them for their stage show or album covers, or wardrobe…oh well, I'm flattered…nothing that could have altered the path of my career.

But that good-for-nothing Axl Rose, he' really a piece of work for the dregs.

As far as I'm concerned he's never done anything original in his life. Him and his cronies would come every week and watch the show.

One day before GnR's debut, I went to his place…as I walked in I saw a video of me playing on his TV and on top was a stack of VHS tapes all labeled Shark Island with dates and times. I remember being mortified, it was obvious he was studying my shtick, and I knew there was nothing I could do, being their album was about to be released, and he'd cap on the press get the credit.

My many years of developing, and refining my craft and years of modern dance were up for grabs by this fool and a video camcorder.

I remember some people telling me about him acting like me, but I never worried much on a count that we were all in the same boat.

Then came Welcome To The Jungle, I though I was looking in the mirror, or the videos on Axl's TV.

You said 'borrowed' earlier well that implies a payback. What burns me up even more is in his heyday he never so much as mentioned Shark Island or Richard Black in all his press. Which, by the way, could have helped us at no cost to him; he never even threw us a bone.

Now, truth be told, I couldn't possibly care less. That's all old crap and it does me no good now, besides, I am nothing like I was back then, and I'd look like a fool to try.
