  1. First of all, i think this 2011 tour is the best tour in terms of mixing. We finally can hear the bass as loud as it deserved, and we don't have problems during the guitar solos or axl's voice anymore.

But, the backing vocals are, specially Dizzy's mic, are too low in the mix now. I miss 2010 backing vocals.

For example: Knocking on heavens door, during 2010, we had a clearly Dizzy's backing vocal during the verses, and in 2011 i can see him SINGING but i can't hear him anymore.

Civil War had Dizzy and (maybe) Chris doing backing vocals and we didn't heard them too.

YCBM had a great backing vocal by Bumblefoot and now it's impossible to hear him.

Because Axl's backing track needs to be loud and clear to drown out the Mickey Mouse asthma..

    Awful photoshop work.

  2. I got that DVD with Remember who you are. It's pretty good. I liked that album but the new one has more modern sound. Untouchables is their darkest, it takes ages to get into but once you do it just destroys you.

Might have to check that out.

I first remember seeing Korn on Headbangers Ball. They performed 'Shoots and Ladders'. I kinda liked it.

I have their 1st album Korn. Its kinda raw.

Next I picked up Lide Is Peachy. That's pretty good too. A.D.I.D.A.S being a fav.

They I lost touch with Korn, until about a year ago when I picked up Greast Hits Vol.1 - I really liked 'Got The Life'.

Some months ago, I spotted Korn III 'Remember Who You Ara' goting for £2. I picked it up, and never really liked it.

'Narcissistic Cannibal' has got me back into Korn. The track is being plaed on Skuzz all the time! at the moment, I like the FREE dvd more than the album :D

  3. well well well - the album THE PATH OF TOTALITY arrived through the post today.

I only paid for what I thought was the standard CD. Turns out I have the Special Edition, which contains both the album and a DVD The Encounter

There's 13 tracks on the album, and 27 tracks on the DVD

The DVD's pretty good. It shows Korn performing in the middle of some corn circles during the day time slowy turning to night

'the band among the elements' - no audience.. Its a great idea as the sound is just spot on without the f-cking audience clapping along n'sh-t :D

  4. I think Slash and Duff are most likely to show up, I hope they will have respect for Axl carrying on the name without them.

I'm expecting Slash, Duff, Adler, possibly Izzy to show up.

Axl might just show up, via video link. After what Axl said about Slash, I don't like Axl has the balls to appear on the same stage as Slash ever again.

Then again, water under the bridge and all that - maybe Axl will show, or be too busy touring :shrugs:

  5. This band keeps showing us that they care about their fans.

    We request estranged......done.

    We request civil war.....done.

Three hour shows and they are playing the two most requested songs. Unbelievable.

The only thing else they can do in this tour is debut a new song.

Great time to be a GnR fan.

    I request Double Talkin Jive

  6. Robert Trujilo was inducted with Metallica before his first contribution to the band was even released. I don't see why Tommy and other members of the band won't get inducted. As far as I am concerned if you just joined an eligible band and they agreed you are to be inducted with them, then you're in.

And I happen to think Chinese Democracy is their best album since Appetite for Destruction. Use Your Illusion I and II were awesome though. I can't understand why anyone would put The Spaghetti Incident? Over CD unless they are Slasholes.

The best thing about CD is Buckethead, Robin Finck and Brain. Should they be inducted too ?

  7. They make it sound like GNR was over, and then one day Axl just said "Hey, I'm just gonna hire a bunch of new guys all at once and tour under the GNR name!"

    It just ain't true.

No, they don't make it sound like that at all. It actually sounds about 100% accurate.

"This year, many in the industry are watching Guns N’ Roses. The front man Axl Rose and the guitarist Saul Hudson, known as Slash, had a fallout during the early 1990s, when the band was at its peak. Speculation is rife that Mr. Rose and Slash might reunite for the ceremony if the band is inducted. Mr. Rose has been playing with a rotating roster of musicians under the Guns N’ Roses name, a move that has sharply divided fans. Big-name managers like Irving Azoff, who successfully reunited the Eagles, have tried and failed to get the original band together."

Sure enough these days Axl is out performing with his hired band, but it would be a great gig if the original line up could perform a couple of the classic songs. I am sure the hired band would find this reasonable. If such a thing were to happen, maybe Axl would insist, the show ends with him performing with the new band. I guess the original line up woudln't mind this if the new band performed only the new songs. Now there's democracy for ya! :D

  8. Not to mention Think About You, Double Talkin Jive, Dust N Bones, Pretty Tied Up, 14 Years, and Bad Obsession.

Izzy was key to their rock sound.

    + Slash

Of course Izzy was an awsome part of the original sound of GN'R, but really it was a collective effort of all 5 members.

On a side note....What about the new members of GN'R? some guys like Tommy have been in

the band longer than the originals. It will be interesting to see how that whole thing works out.

I've always said at the very least, Tommy should get in. But then you have the question of why other new members shouldn't/don't...

Based on the song titles listed on this thread, Tommy has no place accepting anything on behalf of Guns N'Roses

  9. I'm not sure which one IDE choose prolly shades of grey because IDE say Axl is a somewhat complex fella (lol), and who knows his motives but yOu can almost rule out the intent option. If he operated with precise intent then there would be a clearer picture of well....everything.

I don't think Axl is complex. He just has trouble getting to grips with a complex world. Axl don't like things to stand between him and where's he's heading. I think that apply's to us all ;D

  10. dubstep all sounds the same, and it all sounds like shit

agreed on this, dont like this one.

Narcissistic Cannibal sounds greatI I read a review of the album yesterday, there is supposed to be a track of a similar type to Narcissistic Cannibal. While the review described the album as unmistakably Korn, he said it was a collection of tracks what did not relate to each other. I think the album will be better than Remember Who You are, which I didn't like at all.

  11. I guess Izzy was onto something when he quit. He was the 1st to see it was the beginning on the end.. the end of the classic GN'R.. in true Terminator style, Axl raised GN'R from the ashes.. sure it sounded different, and didn't please eveyone.. but Axl managed it..

that reminds me: NIN - The Begining of the End

  12. Slash is the "good-guy" and media-friendly... simple as that.

Slash gave Gn'R its classic sound, a sound new GN'R has moved away from.

and then Slash moved away from that classic sound in order to give us great hits with Fergie

why did you have to go an post that ?
