These people have to be joking lol
Right, I think he looks like a midget on the pic. Obviously due to the way Sasha is hangin on the rail but it's certainly not bad ass in my opinion. Licking a hot girls tummy? Hell yeah, posing for it? Hell nah!
because Axl has the right attitude and charisma which just make it look awesome when he does it
What's the difference when Axl does this and someone like Justin Bieber does it?cuNice pic. Axl is so badass, the guy is the last real true rockstar alive, no doubt.
Not saying midgets can't be cool.

If they have two albums worth of material recorded, why keep delaying releasing them? The longer it takes to release the first one the longer for the second one as well.
The next 2 albums are likely already recorded so it doesn't make sense to record more.I wish that he said something like "focusing on recording the next GN'R" as opposed to the DD.
Imagine being in GnR and going to Axl and saying "Boss, I've written this amazing song. I think it's perfect for GnR." And his reply is "It sounds great. CD2 is going to come out in 2015, CD3 in 2020. So I can definitely maybe promise you that this new song - written in 2014 - will go on the CD4 album which will be released in 2026."
Probably more like this. Employee: Lets jam some new material. Axl: I'm going to focus on CD for a bit.

lol nearly everything axl rants about is negative. Are we talking about the same person?
I suppose your comment was aimed at me? I do like Axl's rants when I agree with them. Usually his rants aren't filled with negativity. He's not usually calling stuff stupid and boring and lame, just because he doesn't like it. He has a different approach. That's why he doesn't seem that much like a person who has problems enjoying life. Of course he isn't the best example of a positive person either, but that's besides the point.
Another interesting thing about some of the posters on here.........they LOVE when Axl goes off on rants bashing and tearing people apart (in concerts or on forums/twitter/etc) but if a forum member says something negative - then they are a baby who doesn't enjoy life anymore? Funny stuff.
Good points. Were we talking about Axl's behavior or were we talking about us being up late just because Axl is still living in the rockstar imaginary world? You and a couple others said that I basically had to shut up, put up with Axl's bullshit and enjoy that because it's rockstar. Well no, I will never do that. I can enjoy Axl's band shows, I can enjoy staying up late for the right reasons and I even enjoy Disney/Pixar movies (I'm saying that because you say I have lost the child in me ) but don't ask me to do that just because a 80s rock singer decides to sleep in the hours that he's supposed to be performing. There's no justification whatsoever in that behavior and it's not rockstar, that's more like a primadonna, diva behavior and I'm glad Axl and his team tried and are still trying to change that. Now that Axl is not 3 hours late, does that mean he lost his rockstar motivation?
Going on at 11 is an absolutely conscious decision. He is doing it on purpose for his own reasons, despite knowing the pitfalls.
And one of the sillier arguments going is the puffing out the chest some fans do and tell others to "grow a pair". Is that the point here?
Anyway, it was Nosaj Thing who was calling people immature small kids. I've never called anyone a baby, and if I have I've meant it as a compliment.
It's just weird to me that a person who likes Guns N' Roses finds the whole rockstar-thing lame. How can a person be a fan of AFD and dislike the rockstar attitude? That album is like an epitome of the rockstar cliche. I'm sure that the album sounds lame and childish to all the so called grown ups. Luckily not everyone loses the touch to their inner child.
Oh and I do disagree with Axl on certain stuff, but Axl's not here so I can't speak my mind to him.

If you like arctic monkeys and a little punk influence, their first record is pretty good.Queens of the stoneage also sound kinda like the AM record.when the smoke clears,it always does,Axl will not benefit.
to OP:it's a collective delusion from some die hards.
Axl is 50 something.there are no new songs.no plans to record.
he's playing SA and Las Vegas for money because in ten years he won't be on stage anymore.
like i said in another thread ,this is just ridiculous.
it's got nothing to do with the spirit of rock n roll.
some peole are satisfied seeing Axl live and hearing SCOM etc.
these are Axl's real fan base now.
on the forums,we want this and that,it aint gonna happen.
i bought Arctic Monkeys and will go further research new bands.
(but vampire weekend is pussy rock to the extreme.dont buy any albums from them if you like GNR).
I'm probably going to vegas for closure.
call me dramatic but GNR has been important in my life.
will attend one show and then go back home and get on with my life.

If Slash shows up (with a guitar in hand ) Axl should play Double Talkin' Jive Motherfucker and dedicate it to him
Are you five years old? We're talking about two fifty year old multi millionaires here. It's a fucking band, not a war or anything like that. I'm tired of people here acting like it's some big life or death thing. He either gets the fuck over it like a normal person or doesn't. It's not "cool" to act like some antiauthority, woe is me, person when you're in your fifties. It's unstable. How people here can't see this is beyond me.

Changing the track order would not make the record better! It's the same damn songs.
-
I doubt it. There are rumors like this before every tour.
-
Vocals, lyrics, over production, lack of well written songs
-
How can we pick without hearing them?

I swear you are just trolling this place
The sound that matches and beats it is the motorcycle revving up to begin Girls Girls GirlsThere was no sound on earth that could match the chills caused by that scream: "YOU KNOW WHERE THE FUCK YOU ARE?!!!!!!"
Vince Neil wishes he had that kind of power.

Slightly different? You would be off key and it would sound like total shit.Has to do with knowing by ear for one, also you can ask the musicians themselves. Slash tunes to Eb on most everything he does if I'm not mistaken. If I play Jungle or Don't Damn Me for example in standard, it sounds slightly different than tuning to Eb.
If everyone playing the song plays in the same key, whether E or E flat, why would it sound like shit?

What about the intro drums to you could be mine and the intro drums to rust in peace by megadeth?
-
Where did you see this? It isn't listed on the Hard Rock website or on Tom Petty's website or on ticketmaster. The only thing booked at the joint from May 21 - June 7 is the comedian on May 31.Tom Petty is playing the hard rock June 1st and 2nd
I apologize, I may be mistaken

Not all the fans cares about a renuion or a 10 minute fellatio with Slash.Sad Axl couldn't have put his personal differences aside for ONE night and given the fans a treat.
Instead, for Axl, the fans took a back seat to his personal feud with Slash and for his whining about how the RnR HOF wanted to run their OWN show.
IMO, things like this are why I couldn't list Axl as the greatest front man of all time. His lack of care for his fans.
"I disagree with the management of the RnR HOF and this doesn't change anything between Slash and myself. So don't talk about a reunion and don't think we are best friends again. But for a couple hours of my life.....for three songs, we're gonna show the younger generation of rockers what Guns n F*cking Roses was all about." And then went out and tore it up on stage for 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the fans are about 15th on Axl's list of what is important for his career.
Izzy didn't go too, i respect them more for not going. HOF from the beginning to the end is mountain of shit.
Most fans outside of these forums care about a reunion imo. To many, Guns N' Roses does not exist anymore. So don't act like the minority is the majority.

Jim Rome is funny, but his opinion on professional sports is widely hated. I've always hated him, but he does do a couple funny segments.
At the end of the day Jim Rome will never be remembered for anything he has done. His name will be forgotten.
Axl Rose name will live on bc his music and performances will continue to be re discovered, so I hope nobody believes Jim Rome is some kind of radio genius. He makes his money off being controversial. He hates things that are universally loved. He is the hipster of sports radio. Axl on the other hand has already made his name, he has already made his legend and is far more memorable than a piece of crap radio personality.
Last thing, people's opinion on Axl right now are pretty low as it is. There is nothing anyone can say that hasn't been said about him.
You sure the Axl Rose name will live on? I know people will remember Guns N Roses but Axl Rose by name I'm not so sure, in the US anyway. My molecular genetics professor mentioned Axl a couple days ago and an auditorium of 175 people stared blank eyed. The younger generation here doesn't exactly know him by name.

Who?
Who?Jim Rome just tore Axl up over this, full with bridge school clip. Embarassing
Hopefully Axl was listening

Don't act like he's a nobody, he had a show on ESPN for years

I find CD to be cheesy, cheesy lyrics cheesy production. I think some of the songs on the illusions sound dated and cheesy now too due to Axl's constant use of unnecessary effects and talking during the songs.
-
The solos and spots where Axl isn't on stage take away from the energy of the show. People go to see Guns shows for the energy, well I think they used to anyway. But now with the solo spots, and sometimes the placement of ballads followed by solo spots make the show feel drawn out.

Why do people continually post about listening to the album again and again to like it? Most of us here have heard the album dozens of times and people act as if we've just repeatedly missed something. Many of us have tried to like the album, but maybe it's just not that great.

Pretty sad that even a forum of us diehard fans feel this way.

To be fair, he did say he had to sit through buckets routine, which was sort of ridiculous.
