  1. I really like the new versions of all CD spongs, specially Chinese Democracy (song), Catcher, Better and Sorry.

Slash fixed the CD (song) intro just by strumming it more graciously and the harmonics when hitting the strings, also without that longass intro.

Better has like more stuff going to it, that "drop" after Axl's mid screams and before last chorus they're doing now post 2021 is pretty cool too.

Beta posted on her instagram an animation of a plane flying around ( https://www.instagram.com/p/CkP7TofD_4Z/ ).

This is really morbid to think about, but the idea that any day, Guns N Roses might get on a plane, and then that plane crashes and burns in a horrific accident and everyone dies, it's not a very pleasant idea to think about. :scared::smiley-confused2: I guess it's a rather silly thought since it's a low chance, but lots of things in the world can happen.

Also speaking of instagram, why does the axlrose instagram that might not even be legit ( https://www.instagram.com/axlrose/ ) and posts absolutely nothing, have 145K followers? I wonder if Axl owns it just keep that instagram name, or if some strange fan is sitting on the name for him.

    That's his legit instagram.

I have a feeling Axl realizes that people want new music, and would like to do something about it, and I bet the band has written material, Slash riffs or whatever, Axl lyrics maybe, but I think Axl might be self-conscious about his current voice and doesn't want to make anything sub-par in the studio. You can tell he is really straining himself in the shows and I notice he smiles when he has good vocal moments, remember he stayed the night at that one stadium show while feeling sick, and had anxiety about if he could perform for the next day.

Also, nothing off the Village Sessions has been released officially, Silkworms originally wasn't really a "band" song, more of a My World by Axl, and Hardskool ofc was recorded in the 90s. I also have had the feeling that Axl wants to keep the band "Authentically GNR" if that makes sense, remember it was Slash that wanted to play the CD songs, Axl seemed like he would have been fine going on without them if it wasn't for Slash. That may be why nothing off the Village Sessions have come out, maybe Axl doesn't consider them Guns N Roses songs?

Of course we can speculate all we want, but the Band must know they are running out of time to do something, and I predict we will actually get something that will turn heads within the next year, but with the box set as the "hype" right now, it may be (yet again) a while before we see something like Ain't Goin' Down or Oh My God reworked come out.

If all of that is bullshit to happen or whatever then so be it, but there IS things GnR can do that require almost zero effort: release the Houston 2016 show from NITL tour, they have the pro-shots the only thing stopping it is Management, a "Live Era 2", Release an Ultra Ultra Deluxe version of the Illusions Boxset and include Inglewood and some other shows, after the current box set release, or just simply interact with fans (although I get why they'd be hesitant lmao)
Idk i've been typing this way too long but I don't think the band is oblivious to the fanbase wanting new music.

Where did u read about Slash wanting to play the CD songs?

So they soundchecked only the three you mentioned (Rocket Queen, It's So Easy and Estranged)? The user who updated the soundcheck info on setlist.fm claimss that Civil War and Shadow of Your Love (plus the "unknown song") were also soundchecked.

No, they weren't, I would have lost my shit hearing Shadow of your Love from outside.

Well.... this show was superb. The sound was the best in years. Wonderful work on Axl voice, idk how the man can sing so many hours... he is the mtfkr king.

Slash guitar sounds powerfull, clear and LOUD!!!!!!! We cant complain we are nothing.

For 1 min... i almost vanish. I had to take a rest in right side of the stage. I was around 15 meters on front stage.... my voice is fkd up and im goint to work now....

Being there is the most excited thing ever. No pyto needed..... only music and a lot of work there. We are seeing the machine in his very high point. You cant miss this leg.

I cant say more in english.... just thank you GnR.

I was at the front, had to run for my life when I entered the stadium, my legs and back are still dead.

The sound was definitely better than the previous shows (2016, 17) , last two times I remember being not happy with it. Now it was all crispy clear!

Setlist.fm also mentions that the unknown song was soundchecked, is there any truth to that?

Nope, I was there since 8 am lol. Also heard the "unheard song" in the vid that was posted last week here so I was paying attention for anything close to that, so yeah, no truth to that! The only strange thing was that they looped many times the Rocket Queen chorus on the soundcheck :shrugs:

Bear with me on this one, guys!

I was at last night's concert and what I saw was mind boggling.

Let me start with Axl's voice, it sounded right (better that RIR) for the  most part, but as I was maybe two to three meters away from the stage, when he spoke to the crowd it seemed so filtered (like the Locomotive voice).

To me this was THE WORST GNR CONCERT I EVER SAW and let me explain why:

I think this is my seventh GNR concert, and I've never seen a major lack of effort from Slash and Duff in my life.

It seemed like they were too tired, wanting to get it over with soon. They were on time, the show lasted for three whole hours.

    BUT:

    • Slash was off in most of the songs and I mean most of the times even in the wrong keys.
    • Rocket queen was louzy as fuck
    • The band screw up attitude
    • You can her Ferrer makinh huge tempo mistakes and Duff comming to the riser (not once or twice, but 4, 5, 6 times)
    • Richard not having fun at all, barely moving.
    • Axl screwing up Hard Skool at the last part singing it completely out of tempo.
    • The band teased the SP crowd, hours before the set with a picture of the setlist and the saying "What do You Wanna Ad?" (or somethinh like that) and nothing was added.
    • Why not mix a bit among Attitude, I Wanna Be Your Dog and New Rose?
    • Why not mix a bit among Coma and Locomotive?
    • Why not drop does fillers Blues Jams and just play something else instumentally like they did with Train Kept a Rolling in the 90s.

    GREAT POINTS

    • Reckless Life
    • Shadow of Your Love
    • Sorry

    MAJOR DISAPOINTMENT

    1. Playing COMA instead of LOCOMOTIVE
    2. The same setlist for barely 6 years
    3. The band being off and with a lot of mistake, nothing compared to 2016 our 2917.

    WHAT COULD BE NEXT IMO

    • 1. One to two/three songs - Chi Dem reworked versions (Within the next years)
    • 2. This last run and no tour for I think forever
    • 3. Maybe a new new song with the five Alummini
    • 4 Chi Dems box set with the remixed album and maybe some of Slah's and Duff's inputs in it

    AND THAT'S IT

They came, the won, they conquererd, they did that same triangle until its complete depletion and know they play to sand, zombies, die hard and cute little bimbos saying "Oh I Love November Rain, is that the video with the marriage? I would love to get married to Dirk someday!"

That's sad af... Slash was motivated in RIR but maybe gave up after Axl's performance drowned everything.

Btw, at what hour did you arrive to the stadium to be so close to the stage?

Wouldn't it be very weird, if this is Guns N Roses big return with an album, to have it be (a large share of) old CD-era songs with Axls voice from 20 years ago and Slash and Duff contributions on top. It was odd enough with Hard Skool and Absurd. But a whole album, with a marketing push behind it (?).

Or will this be some stop gap and by the band not considered an album in the traditional sense....

I think the first option, and the last album too.

i mean if you wanna get really technical he’s using his ‘mask’, which is at the back of the throat. Pharyngeal resonance projected with some air from the diaphragm when he’s belting it.

trust me, it ain’t falsetto. An example of falsetto - ‘Tongue’ by REM. There’s no way you can generate the power he used to sing those songs using your head voice (falsetto). And, it’s a completely different tone: you only have to listen to one example of falsetto to know straight away that is NOT what Axl’s doing.

and That’s why he sounds rubbish now, because it’s all falsetto.

    c’mon guys FALSETTO on appetite?!

But in 2006 and 2010 it was still falsetto with rasp (false vocal cords) right? That would explain his weaker songs like SCOM that where rarery sang with rasp even in those years. That's why in RiR 2011 he acted like wtf was happening with his voice lol like the rasp dissapeared so full clean falsetto, cuz it was still the same base technique.
