What are the examples of Richard being a shitty guitarist, exactly? Can we get some clips of him fucking up? And does he really fuck up so much that it ruins the enjoyment of any particular song completely? Are there really people who know every note by heart and can tell when he fucks up? Who can even hear Fortuss guitar on those live shows? I sure can't when I watch the videos. And is your experience of a concert or a song then totally ruined? It's just shit from there on end? How the hell is he such a shitty player?

Hard vote between Breakdown and Locomotive. Both are so great. Had to go with Breakdown. These two should be playing in the radio as much as any Elton John songs. As should Pretty Tied Up of course. 

Axl is looking really good there!

Maybe Guns would need some outsider who knows their songs by heart to tell them where they are doing it "wrong". Like how Axl corrected AC/DC on some songs because they had been playing them differently for years. What was great about Guns covering other songs was that they made them their own. That's what The Seeker is missing. If Axl was younger, I'm sure we might hear a bit different vocal styles on that song.

It's really too bad he can't get that close to his younger voice. It's just more Mickey. Been listening to You're Crazy and Breakdown a lot recently, and the contrast to present is quite sad. Would love to hear him do growls and wails but of course he can't. He can belt out some good screams, but the growls are gone forever and never heard again. Too fucking bad.

Thanks to everyone who posts those videos! Been watching them like crazy. This I love is really epic. Slash really just takes it over for a while, lol! And Axl's face at the end of it. He really meant it there. I do think Axl sounded really tired in Better, not the best performance of that song.

I wonder if all that backwards walking is his way to work on his hamstrings or what.

I wish they would just release a record already so we wouldn't have to read this crappy speculation. And it's hard to see how Axl and the gang could produce shitty album, since they are all experienced musicians. I don't see how it couldn't be a great record in my opinion anyway. To some other, like this asshole, it might not be a great record. But once again it's not some universal truth of the matter. Fuck.

I remember somebody linked a site that had all these quotes about Axl. One of them was maybe Izzy or Sorum or someone telling how they talked with Axl on the phone, and Axl was cross-examining him like "but in this and this magazine interview you said..." and they guy was just "but Axl, that was over two years ago!".

I really like this and that The General intro. They really should get these out. This sounds good, what little there is to hear.

This Better. Just so cool to see Duff singing on the backup vocals and Slash playing those awesome notes. Axl's voice is a bit "whiskey" but the lyrics are so emotional it's just amazing to watch. You got to feel for a guy who's had a troubled heart and that melody inside still searching for solution.

I didn't like the song when I first heard it, sounded so mediocre. But now that I listened to it, it's still mediocre, but I just might give it a listen or two. If they released the completely mixed version. It's too demo now, Axl's vocals on the backround sound ridiculous at times.

I also don't get why they shouldn't do an album if the original members aren't completely in it. If Izzy feels that Guns is too big now, too commercial or whatever, then what can you do? He wants to do things in a smaller scale so let's respect that and let it be.

The negativity towards CD is really sad. SOME people hated it, but there are fans who do like it very much. And they are going to see CD as a GnR album. No amount of moaning about how it's not a GnR album is not going to change that. To some it will never be a GnR album, but that's not some universal truth. So I guess we are going to go around this forever, people bitching about the album and other people expressing their enjoyment of it.

Thanks for the link! Looking at those pictures, those clothes look like they were made with a rockstar like Axl in mind. I don't know if I could ever pull off a garb like that. Not that I could afford any of that stuff. And the guy has everything sold out! No surprise there, those are really cool designs. That leather jacket being the crown jewel.

That white snakeskin textured leather jacket Axl wore at the China Exchange is a thing of beauty. Must cost a fortune. But anyone found one for sale anywhere on the internets?

I think the braids were cool, specially in 2006. They weren't that bad before, maybe a bit too much. Very Predatorish look, but that sort of pussy faced pissy attitude suited Axl well. Axl was like the Predator, impailing his listeners with his sharp wails.
