Longer than any other member in GnR history, besides Axl and Dizzy.

Makes you realise how much he has underachieved by as a member. One mediocre album of which he contributes nothing of any significance.

Him being able to make more money doing the same tour than releasing new material has to be a factor at some point. If it's the money HE wants, then touring is where it's at.

Some of the more vocal Axl defenders praise Axl by saying he isn't in the business for the money. Slash is a fame whore who is all about the money.....bon jovi and metallica release tons of music specifically just to get more money.....and the reason Axl doesn't release more music is because he has more integrity than these other artists. This has been the foundation of several different topic debates

It is interesting to see how that tide has changed on this forum. Now Axl is doing the "smart" thing by playing weddings, Vegas and endless touring.....because that is where the money is at. So Axl has more integrity than most because he isn't in the business for the money.....but he is smart because he choosing to do things that make the most money.

Or the other funny one.

Slash, BJ, Metallica only put out multiple albums to make money. But then they say Axl doesn't need to focus on an album because albums don't make money anymore.

Opinions are based solely depending if Axl is involved or not. Weird stuff.

None of us know why Axl has decided to keep his music so secret. None of us know why he doesn't want to share it with his millions of fans.

Several posters like to put forth their opinions like they are facts. But all the responses in here are just guesses. Axl, Beta and Fernando know. The band and the fans......all we can do is wait and see what happens.

It is his opinion. It has no major impact on my life and I suggest you adopt a similar approach. One thing is for sure, pointing out your criticisms like above is better than just being a whiney knob about it. There is nothing wrong with asking why Axl is delaying recording with these guys. Personally I don't think the problem is necessarily with the band, the problem is with Axl. He is creatively bankrupt and has burned so many bridges in the industry that nobody cares about his next project. There will never be another album from any NuGNR lineup, unless Axl is willing to release it himself from his own label and that doesn't appear to be a possibility right now or anytime soon.
