  1. Anyone can sound good in a studio. Plus vocal tracks may have been laid down years ago.

axl doesn't sound good on cd, his voice is weak in comparison with other gnr recordings (afd, uyi).

    :shrugs:

Yeah, but that was ( for whatever reason ) a style choice ( I think ). TIL alt. (hip hop ) is plenty raspy.

Plus, I kinda doubt Axl's going to use the clean voice on something like Soul Monster ( if we

ever get to hear it ).

  2. Bumble's signature is on the Nightrain giveaway poster. Confirmed in!

....Or they were signed in Vegas, the last time the band were all together.

It'll have been signed in Vegas, it's the last time the band were all in the same place

I think someone signed '2014' on it ( didn't actually see that until after I posted lol ). Just goofing on the whole "is he in, is he out" thing. I will say that I'm kinda surprised that TB exercised some forethought.

  3. What a joke if they release only one song. Lol Better Gone style shit.

    Album or nothing.

Chinese Leftovers, then call it a day.

As long as it's actually something new ( or raspy TIL or something like that ) I'll take what we can get.

Granted, I'm expecting any new release to come out under the implication that they're going to, eventually, release another album. Hell, just release some sorta CD II EP with the Remix thrown in as a bonus ( or even just the remix with a few new CD b-tracks ). Would at least buy more time and satiate fans for a while longer. I really dunno what the deal is with the Remix is though, just release that for free through the Night Train club or Itunes or whatever.

  4. Over 100 bucks to ship to me?? Another well thought-out scheme from the team that brought you the polyester gnr beach towel.

USPS First Class should only be about $10-15. If they don't ship that way then the next cheapest option if like $40+ I think. Not sure why it

    would be $100 though lol.

  5. This all band is collapsing and people still think in hot sauce ...

Collapsing would imply there's still something left though. If Axl actually does anything, it's going to require some substantial rebuilding ( ie an interview here and there, a string of near-2010-level performances, some promotion by TB lol, etc ).

As for the sauce, to be fair, there's fuck all else going on in GnRLand right now. I mean, I guess we could keep going on and on and on about whether or not Bumble is in the band. Until they either play another show or an actual announcement is made, all we've got is hot sauce. Yeah, it sucks, but it is what it is.

  6. How many cards did Axl sign???

Good question, could prob. ask the Topps people if no one knows.

My guess (on no real basis other than the # sold on ebay), maybe a few hundred to 1000.

There are actually 2 versions of the card, 1 is the "normal" version ( I think the proper name for it is the Heavy Metal Auto or something ) and another is a "framed" version that is a smaller card within a card ( from the Allen and Ginter card line, kinda seem to focus on a lot of random ppl ). The latter goes for a bit less. So I'm thinking 500 for one and 500 for the other. Maybe something like 250 and 250, I can't really see Axl wanting to sit around and sign 1000+ cards, but who knows. Both brands are by Topps.

I don't usually mess with cards, but some of the autograph ones are pretty neat.

  7. He's clearly just joking around here, the same way Noel Gallagher does before playing Wonderwall, about how tired he is of the hit. I think he's out, don't get me wrong, but this is nowhere near confirmation.

Stop giving people a reason not to drama queen!

Sorry, didn't mean to ruin the pity party. Damned facts and their not being as much fun...

They had their crowns all purchased :https://www.taigan.com/shops/littlecitizensboutique/items/47050-queen-for-a-day-inflatable-crown?gclid=CjwKEAiAx4anBRDz6JLYjMDxoQYSJAA4loRm8TE_6WPXHVFVVPl0kBXkxo57QEa-jbFkZmzgcJ-iEhoCxFrw_wcB and everything too! Meanie!

When you put this interview in context with other recent comments/etc by BBF it kinda paints a different picture (other than someone who is only making a joke). There was the Corey Taylor tweet. The "reign of doom is over" comment. And most recently he said that his time with GnR was a detour and that he was glad to be back on the same course he was one before joining. I'm not sure how much more unofficially confirmed it can get at this point. Maybe Bumble can write a song called "I'm out I'm out I'm really fucking out" or something, idk.

Playing with 06 Axl and then CD being released in 08 probably skewed BBF's expectations of what he was going to get out of the band so I can kinda sympathize there.

At this point I don't have much energy left to argue/care one way or the other, I'm just glad we've got some closure.

  8. Just because Finck/etc are still on good terms with Axl ( well, at least enough to show up and play a show or two ), and weren't thrown under the bus ( ala Bucket ), doesn't mean they would be willing to work with him again. Finck's quote on getting frustrated with having done "Instrumental Track #303 (whatever it was)," without ever getting to see (er hear) the fruits of his labor, does kinda point to Axl being "impossible" to work with. It's not that Axl does anything to make people hate him ( aside from Bucket / Slash ), it's that his process ( if you can call it that ) for making music is draining/frustrating/ not very reciprocal. It's the same reason most of the guys in the band have an outlet where they actually get to create music.
