  1. uhhh....i think the last thing us GNR fans would want is tracii guns joining GNR...

    WRONG!

No, I agree, who cares about Tracii Guns. Tracii Guns will probably be too busy attending a 80's hair metal revival to play with Guns anyway.

  2. As a footnote - the Motley Crue original member tour is third in popularity/box-office to only U2 and Rolling Stones in 2005!

    Source on this?

    Because its nonsense.

    It is nonsense.

Top ten tours of 2005 (in millions):

    1. The Rolling Stones, $162

    2. U2, $138.9

    3. Paul McCartney, $77.3

    4. The Eagles, $76.8

    5. Elton John, $65.8

    6. Kenny Chesney, $61.8

    7. Dave Matthews Band, $57

    8. Neil Diamond, $47.3

    9. Jimmy Buffett, $41

    10. Motley Crue, $39.9

  3. The show in Finland sold out in 8 minutes so I doubt that people care if it's only Axl...

A lot of people who bought tickets are going to be disappointed when they'll find out what GNR is in 2006.

In Finland, they've been promoting the show on TV with footage of the original band

Why is that suprising, did you miss the memo that stated that the original line-up will be playing Download. I'm sure if that is true they will play more than that one date.

  4. Ozzy left black sabbath and started a solo career. He didn't continue as black sabbath with a bunch of new guys, so your comparrison doesn't work. As for danzig, he's a talentless douche bag who shouldn't be mentioned alongside axl and ozzy.

Black Sabbath was still Black Sabbath even after Ozzy, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, and Guns N' Roses is no different.

Again, by name only. Black Sabbath was never as good after those guys left, nor will GnR be. They may do OK, but they will never be that big again. Once the newness is gone, they will fade away until the reunion down the road.

You missed my point. Black Sabbath still had the fire because of Tony Iommi's commitment to the Black Sabbath brand, and IMO they never lost their edge, only their popularity and commercial success.

  6.

I told Merck about the radio station in Anchorage that claims it received the IRS single from the label, and its claim it would start playing it tomorrow. So, I asked him if this means the single is being officially released tomorrow. He said no.

"No, it is bogus," he said.

*Sorry guys, but I thought we should find out the truth before that thread spanned 100 pages.

You just crushed all of our dreams.

At least we can still hope that IRS will not be the first single :rofl-lol:

  7. i have always wonder why this dude just doesn't come out on stage and look like a normal guy? why the need to be a goth? why robin why?

A better question is why people insist on coming on stage dressed as a normal person?

  8. 01 IRS

    02 Just Another Sunday

    03 Better

    04 There Was A Time

    05 Chinese Democracy

    06 Madagascar

    07 The Blues

    08 Rhiad And The Bedouins

    09 Oh My God

    10 Silkworms

    11 Oklahoma

    12 Crash Diet

13 Sex, Drugs, And Rock & Roll

    14 Shadow of Your Love

    15 Dust in the Wind

    16 Prostitute

I smell some bullshit. I seriously doubt old GNR demos would be on Chinese Demorcacy (Just Another Sunday, Crash Diet, Shadow of Your Love).

  9. I wonder what the current line-up Gun N' Roses still is? I find it very odd that an official announcement hasn't been made considering that concert dates have already been scheduled.

This would be a first for Guns N' Roses if they make it to the concerts following RIR. They couldn't do it in 1991 or 2001.

  10. I think it would be pretty cool seeing as I've had a desire to see both bands live.

I wonder why you are mentioning this now? Do you know something we dont? ;) . After all, Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses have shared the same stage in the past.

  11. Apparently GNR will be sharing the stage with Motley Crue during the band's Dublin gig on June 9.

Not sure if this is one-time date - or if GNR will be touring with the Crue for more shows.

    Your thoughts?

Would you like to see GNR tour with them or do you hope this is a one-time event?

Having the new Guns N' Roses playing with Motley Crue is like having the new Guns N' Roses playing with the original Guns N' Roses. As long as Axl and Vince don't fight, it should be fine.
