I hear season ticket, but it does sound like "She's a hooray for tolerance!!"
Whoa, on this forum, when you type "nigg**" it replaces it with "hooray for tolerance" lol

Here I am, and you're a Rocket Queen, oh yeah; I may be a little young but honey I ain't naive.
When I first heard it, I thought it was "your rocket queen", now I'm pretty sure it's "you're a rocket queen".
Oh, ok. Thanks everyone!

Cool News!

I'm with Arx77, the songs says "you're a rocket queen".
Wow, maybe I had it wrong all along.
-
I'm fairly certain Rocket Queen is a girl. Here I am and you're a Rocket Queen
Hmm, I could've sworn it was about a band that a girl wanted to form called "Rocket Queen".
And Axl was saying "Here I am, your Rocket Queen".
I'm probably wrong, but I'm not sure.
-
All the lyric sites I've visited say:
Here I am, And you're a Rocket Queen
I always thought it was:
Here I am, your rocket queen
Implying that Axl and the band was the "rocket queen", the band that the one girl wanted him to form. (I forget her name).

A lot of people consider it their worst song, which I thought so at first too. But after listening to it more and more, it kind of grows on you and becomes catchy. I actually kind of like it now, and it definitely isn't their worst song. I think people don't like it because it is weird and not like all other GnR material. But if you look past that, it's not THAT bad.
Anyone else feel the same? Or am I deranged?

Does this really need 3 threads within 15 minutes?
I just posted one.
I know, your thread was fine. But this guy has already posted two threads, basically about the same thing.
-
it is not the best live performance ever but if you hear Axl on Out Ta Get me live in Osaka 2009 i would say it is his personal best live performance of Out Ta Get Me
Wow, thanks for discussing this.
You're right Axl sounds great!
Love this gig. GN'R had a lot of good gigs in 1988 actually.
Yes, they did!
This sounds better than the studio version to me, just wish there was higher quality footage
Never mind, I found better quality footage

It's hard to really say one is better than the other, tbh. The studio version is so intrinsically linked to my youth, my experiences really getting into this band, part of general pop culture, etc. The demo is lovely, though. I feel the same way about the "Yesterdaze" demo -- if they had ever released it officially, even as a B-side to the single or something, I think it would have impressed a lot of people. It's a nice contrast to the accusations of the studio cuts being over-produced, excessive, etc.
Yeah, the Demo has that raw un-tampered feel, that I like.

Everything just seems spot-on, and it has a great vibe.

Shouldn't this be in Don't Damn Me?
-
Frank all the way
-
dude, you didnt get it yet? because it supports the old band!!! Axl absolutely doesnt want this and blocks it himself!
But it is only blocked in Germany, no where else. All of them
Quality standards.
Oh, you mean like they only allow things that are originally made in Germany?
-
Sweet the typo was fixed! Glad I could help.
-
I have uploaded several GnR lyric videos on YouTube recently, and they all have one thing in common, they're blocked from viewers in Germany. I Googled it, and came up empty.
Anyone have an idea why?
Also if you live in Germany, tell me if this video is blocked.

3 > 2 > 6 > 5 > 4 > 7 > 1
