  1. black eyed peas? I really don't know whats hip lately but I haven't heard anything on these guys so I'm guessing their not relevant anymore?

Nah, they're still relevant trust me. I don't like them, I'm just saying.

    Nickleback....... lol

I wouldn't write them off just yet. They've been on a steady decline in quality ever since they started, but their last album had a couple of hits and it's been less than two years. I'm talking about people who just completely disappeared. I mean, look at Akon. The guy was on top of the world from 2006-09 and suddenly he just completely disappeared. Last thing I heard from him was the WOOHOOs on that Gwen Stefani song. What the hell is that all about? Did that incident with the 14 year old girl really fuck his career that bad?

    This is all I got....

  2. It's not a typo.... are you saying you don't know who the band's signer is? What kind of fan are you? :max:

No, I know Geffen Records signed them, but when I made my account I put Axl Rose in that spot and had no issues... So I figured it must be a typo or something :shrugs:

  3. When you sign up for the forum, the "Registration Question" I think it contains a typo.

    It says:

Who is the GUNS N' ROSES signer?

"signer" should be singer I'm assuming, but it may confuse some people. If they think it really means "signer" than they may look it up and never get it right, because it might really be singer.

  5. Steven Adler!

He was born in Cleveland. I live near Cleveland. rock3

    - The Pretenders: Akron, Ohio (Even closer to where I live)

    - Rascal Flatts: They aren't from where I live, but before they got famous they used to play in the small town I grew up in.

    - Wild Cherry: Mingo Junction, Ohio

    - Bow Wow

    - Nine Inch Nails

Oh, and my mom grew up right next door to Lafayette, Indiana. She could've known Axl and/or Izzy!

  6. Civil War was recorded around April 1990 (It features Dizzy, who joined the band in Feb. 1990 and was debuted live at Farm Aid in April '90). The song's recording went well apparently, except for the drum parts. Due to his drug use, there wasn't a single usable drum track to go with the song, so Mike Clink had to splice the best from 70 takes of the song to create a viable drum track. CW was then released as GN'R's first single of the '90s around June 1990. Steven was fired just a month later on July 11th 1990, and Matt was hired to replace him within a few weeks of his firing.

Why didn't the band re-record Civil War with Matt on drums for UYI II? They were essentially releasing a song that was already released over a year before as a single on their new album with a drummer on the track who wasn't in the band anymore.

I mean consider that for TSI, on the songs Izzy had recorded with the band during the UYI sessions, they erased Izzy's guitar parts and had Gilby play his own. Why didn't they do the same with Adler for Civil War--erase his drum track for the album version and have Matt record a new one?

Because they liked Clink's drum parts better...? Too much work, not enough time? Who knows...

  7. Doing it somewhat chronologically with a few 'staples', and still trying to have a decent flow to it,

    1) Welcome To The Jungle

    2) You're Crazy [Lies]

    3) Nightrain

    4) Paradise City

    5) Civil War

    6) Knockin' On Heavins Door

    7) Yesterdays

    8) Locomotive

    9) Don't Damn Me

    10) Estranged

    11) Better

    12) November Rain

    13) There Was A Time

    14) Coma

    15) Catcher In The Rye

    16) Prostitute

I kinda wanna do a live era one too but it's kinda late, I'm kinda stoned and this literally took me about 20 minutes to write....

Wow thanks. I appreciate the effort you put into this. Nice post!

  8. People die every day, life goes on. :shrugs:

I look at life the same way. Like I don't want to get morbid here, but people talk about the starving kids and Africa dying and stuff and I just shrug it off. It's not like they're directly effecting my life, so why should I really care? I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy....

  9. So I have seen a lot of discussion lately on here about the song choices on GnR's "Greatest Hits" album. Especially with the fact that Ain't it Fun and Since I Don't Have You are on it. Also, that five of the songs are covers. If you were put in charge of creating the Greatest Hits album, what would you include on it. Here's the CURRENT Greatest Hits set-list: 1.) Welcome to the Jungle2.) Sweet Child O' Mine3.) Patience4.) Paradise City5.) Knockin' on Heaven's Doors6.) Civil War7.) You Could Be Mine8.) Don't Cry (Original)9.) November Rain10.) Live and Let Die11.) Yesterdays12.) Ain't it Fun13.) Since I Don't Have You14.) Sympathy for the Devil *RULES* - You can pick 12-16 songs- Base it off of what you like. We all have different opinions and nobody should be criticized. - In cases such as Don't Cry, you can use the alternative lyric version... or even demos of songs if you'd like.

I have a latent distaste for Greatest hits albums, so predictably I'm not going to play by the rules, no reason there couldn't be a "deep cuts" G.H. album, including "sailing", it's alright, only women bleed, dead flowers, perfect crime, DITW,Bad Time-BC,Sail Away Queen,YATF, DTJ, throw in BOB...Coma, would love to hear some Elton,Floyd and Queen "spread ur wings", and some Nazareth,Imagine,OIAM electrified,MTTC, DOTF, some Doors WTMO, ...maybe an ELO for good measure, and a pitcher of strawberry margaritas to go ;)

Lol nice touch at the end!

    Welcome to the Jungle

    Nightrain

    Mr. Brownstone

    Paradise City

    Sweet Child O' Mine

    Patience

    Used to Love Her

    Live and Let Die

    Don't Cry

    November Rain

    Civil War

    Yesterdays

    Knockin' on Heaven's Door

    You Could Be Mine

    Estranged

    Better

Not my favorite songs by any stretch, but if I were in charge of making the album, that'd be the track listing.

Thanks for playing by the rules
