  1. Paris 2010 gets overlooked a lot. Paris '92 has the best Civil War ever. Argentina '93. I don't think Rio's ever gotten a good show vocally, Rio '91 isn't the best of the UYI Tour. I love the uberrasp on Indiana '91, but I'm glad he doesn't sing like that all the time. The Freddie Tribute Concert is the best Axl performance ever, PC and We Will Rock You and the outro to Bohemian Rhapsody especially. From '06, there's the Hammerstein shows, LA shows, New Jersey, all great performances. RIR Lisboa and Inland Invasion are a bit rough in comparison. From 2012 it's Atlantic City for me. I need to watch more '87-'88 boots, only really seen The Ritz, which was great.

This current crop of shows is even worse vocally than Rio '11. Nothing from 2013 to write home about.

you really this these current shows are worse than rio 11?? dude rio 11 is without a doubt the worst ever lol

I like the consistency and control of 2010 best and yes, Bucharest is magical as is Arnhem, the O2 with Duff, Lille and others.

i was at the Arnhem show and it was absolutely amazing also probably the best This I Love he ever did

  2. i see 5 guys who had the potention to become as close as if not bigger than the stones, AC/DC, U2 and Queen

It makes me wonder "Why did Slash sign the name over like a pussy?"

Because Axl was a pain in the ass to everyone.

Or Slash was a pussy and too chicken to challenge Axl. The truth hurts sometimes.
Yeah, he totally should've fought him behind the swing set during recess. Rock n roll, man.

I know English isn't your first language, but I wasn't referring to a physical confrontation. I meant challenge as in "Tell Axl to fuck himself" when, 'under duress,' Slash was presented with the papers to sign the name away.

I'm sure Slash told Axl to fuck off plenty of times, I know I would've. Anyway, I regret answering to your post in the first place.

On topic: It's a bittersweet nostalgic feeling. But it's been a long time since I truly cared about GNR, both old and new.

if you dont care about GNR current and past then why are you investing your time here and talk about them and hang out with others who do care? i think you still care about them or you wouldn't be here

  3. Shackler's is the best performance we've seen from the tour so far imo. That's not saying much, but there ya go.

I can't see it due to restricted access, is it really?

Realize that what I'm saying is that every other video I've seen has been godawful and this one is just not good.

don't cry ain't bad, i think don't cry is always good also cuz it's easy to sing for him probably but with this voice he does justice to it

  4. See, I personally don't see that. But then again, I always feel they have the same energy every night. Because they are hired guns and its part of their contract. They have to pretend like they're into it whether they really feel that way or not. I never actually see expressions on their face. I always just see them walk up to the front of the stage and thrust their guitars out into the air. To me, that doesn't mean they're really into it, but its more a show. And I don't see how they've changed doing that in the last 3 years.

well i do see a difference between now and 2011, 12 and 13 in the band members and even Axl is more demotivated than ever, i mean i still loved to watch them till 2013 even dispite Axl's weight there, but now it just makes me kinda sad to watch them

We'll have to agree to disagree. Largely, if you showed me a video from the last 3 years without a date, it all looks the same to me.

Damn_Smooth, I just can't anymore. You're making my head hurt from stupidity. So congrats.

well glad you don't see the things worser than me lol

  6. What was he trying to prove? That he wasn't going to release shit for another 6 years? He did a great job if that was his intention, and failed at anything else. Also disagree with this power thing people are hung up on. Maybe you haven't listened to an average show from then in quite some time? That's the only explanation I can come up with.

He was proving that he didn't Slash and the old band. Are you mental?

And no, there was more power. He's not gasping for breath in 2002. He may have a very high Mickey voice, but he could sustain notes longer and ran around like a crazy man. There was a hint of old Axl there. All of that is gone now.

guys i hate to say this but watching video's of the last 3 shows it almost looks like this band is gonna fall apart soon, like its dying... i hope it's not happening but i gotta feeling about it, and if Axl ever blames his band members for it he is an ass cuz they give everything for him and he does nothing in the trend of new music and his performance is less and less impressive by the day...

I disagree. To me, this looks like every other show in the last 3 years. I don't see any evidence they are worse off than they have been already, and what exactly do you see that makes you think they are falling apart soon? Their outlook on the band is very different from the fan outlook, so maybe you think the fans think it will fall apart soon.

well just the less energy of the entire band and they seem to enjoy themselves far less than for example a year ago

  8. it will just be another full rock n' roll show with rockets and bombs as DJ always says, i hope the people who go there will have a nice time and i hope Axl and Richard will show more energy and passion on stage that would make it a lot more enjoyable for the crowd, besides that i don't expect too much
