let's compare and discuss a little!
I consider the Freddie tribute in 92 as one of my favorite performances by Axl, also Oklahoma 92 Argentina 93
and Bucharest 2010 are beyond great!
and his worst is probably Rio 2011 never seen anything like that again (bridge school was with a strep throat)

The Brazil YCBM is honestly Axl Rose Disaster quality.
It's damn close.
nothing can be worse than rio 2011 lol
-
anyway i like the album except for Riad, prostitute and Scraped but still know the lyrics to them, i like the album because the music goes so deep and it has some strong lyrics, Better, This I Love, There Was a Time and Sorry are within my top 20 GN'R songs i guess
-
From the bad songs of CD, Rhiad is one of the worst. From the stolen pointless ambient intro to the Oooh Ooohh's being 50% of the lyrics. Don't know what was Axl's intention with that one.
On the other hand, Better is the perfect pop-rock song, would love to hear more from the Finck/Rose parternship
first time i hear you say something positive about nuGNR

can someone translate what exactly is being said

i see 5 guys who had the potention to become as close as if not bigger than the stones, AC/DC, U2 and Queen
Yeah, he totally should've fought him behind the swing set during recess. Rock n roll, man.It makes me wonder "Why did Slash sign the name over like a pussy?"
Because Axl was a pain in the ass to everyone.
Or Slash was a pussy and too chicken to challenge Axl. The truth hurts sometimes.I know English isn't your first language, but I wasn't referring to a physical confrontation. I meant challenge as in "Tell Axl to fuck himself" when, 'under duress,' Slash was presented with the papers to sign the name away.
I'm sure Slash told Axl to fuck off plenty of times, I know I would've. Anyway, I regret answering to your post in the first place.
On topic: It's a bittersweet nostalgic feeling. But it's been a long time since I truly cared about GNR, both old and new.
if you dont care about GNR current and past then why are you investing your time here and talk about them and hang out with others who do care? i think you still care about them or you wouldn't be here

Shackler's is the best performance we've seen from the tour so far imo. That's not saying much, but there ya go.
I can't see it due to restricted access, is it really?
Realize that what I'm saying is that every other video I've seen has been godawful and this one is just not good.
don't cry ain't bad, i think don't cry is always good also cuz it's easy to sing for him probably but with this voice he does justice to it

Loaded like a freight train (8 man line up, chubby Axl)

See, I personally don't see that. But then again, I always feel they have the same energy every night. Because they are hired guns and its part of their contract. They have to pretend like they're into it whether they really feel that way or not. I never actually see expressions on their face. I always just see them walk up to the front of the stage and thrust their guitars out into the air. To me, that doesn't mean they're really into it, but its more a show. And I don't see how they've changed doing that in the last 3 years.
well i do see a difference between now and 2011, 12 and 13 in the band members and even Axl is more demotivated than ever, i mean i still loved to watch them till 2013 even dispite Axl's weight there, but now it just makes me kinda sad to watch them
We'll have to agree to disagree. Largely, if you showed me a video from the last 3 years without a date, it all looks the same to me.
Damn_Smooth, I just can't anymore. You're making my head hurt from stupidity. So congrats.
well glad you don't see the things worser than me lol

What was he trying to prove? That he wasn't going to release shit for another 6 years? He did a great job if that was his intention, and failed at anything else. Also disagree with this power thing people are hung up on. Maybe you haven't listened to an average show from then in quite some time? That's the only explanation I can come up with.
He was proving that he didn't Slash and the old band. Are you mental?
And no, there was more power. He's not gasping for breath in 2002. He may have a very high Mickey voice, but he could sustain notes longer and ran around like a crazy man. There was a hint of old Axl there. All of that is gone now.
guys i hate to say this but watching video's of the last 3 shows it almost looks like this band is gonna fall apart soon, like its dying... i hope it's not happening but i gotta feeling about it, and if Axl ever blames his band members for it he is an ass cuz they give everything for him and he does nothing in the trend of new music and his performance is less and less impressive by the day...
I disagree. To me, this looks like every other show in the last 3 years. I don't see any evidence they are worse off than they have been already, and what exactly do you see that makes you think they are falling apart soon? Their outlook on the band is very different from the fan outlook, so maybe you think the fans think it will fall apart soon.
well just the less energy of the entire band and they seem to enjoy themselves far less than for example a year ago

Love in an elavator!

it's kinda fun that every none GN'R fan out there considers November Rain one of the best songs ever and we GN'R fans almost all go for Estranged including myself lol
-
you people really sound like you know something lol, did you look in the future or what?
-
Don't want to sound too optimistic guys but I have a feeling they'll play Out ta Get Me and Madagascar tonight.
and where does that feeling come from? i don't expect madagascar but out ta get me or my michelle could be possible tho
-
part of me wants a member to leave, this might wake Axl up a bit?
if we lose a member who should be the one we least want to stay? because i think all 3 gunslingers do a big justice in the band, and Tommy is the only bassplayer
-
it will just be another full rock n' roll show with rockets and bombs as DJ always says, i hope the people who go there will have a nice time and i hope Axl and Richard will show more energy and passion on stage that would make it a lot more enjoyable for the crowd, besides that i don't expect too much
-
when i was getting a feeling for music around being 14/15 the video game burnout paradise came out and there i heard paradise city as it is the soundtrack of the game and from that moment i sold my soul to their music lol, it was like the best thing i ever heard and i loved it right from that moment!

bring Mi Amor back besides that i don't care maybe wild horses by bumble and richard would be cool as it was amazing in the 90's just as only women bleed
-
i'd still go, as i love Guns N' Roses with whole my heart and the moment that you stand there and Estranged kicks in and the tears start rolling over your cheeks and having a warm feeling inside is just one of the best feelings to ever have. Ofcourse i wish things to get better around the band but to say i won't go anymore nah thats not for me.

This band, the fans, this forum, all of us... this isn't normal behaviour . How do people even know this kind of information?! No other band (and their fans) works this way . This is just weird . We're all freaks .
we are the biggest freaks of all music fans i guess lol, but you are right dude haha you don't see things anywhere like within GN'R
What are truly Axl's best and worst shows vocally?
