Let’s hope The Vault has some better tunes.
I guess that's why they are in the vault

I think that OMG at least has the basis of a soild hard rock song.
If you strip away the effects and production and just had the band play it straight, structure wise it's not too different from some of the more aggressive Illlusions era stuff.
Silkworms sounds very of it's era though.
I hate both, tbh. Hopefully if Axl ever releases new stuff it's in a way different direction.

It's absolutely mind boggling to me how would someone want Axl to perform this stuff at shows. I'd rather have a good old The Who cover, or a CD ballad. That's some weird stuff, I'd bet Axl is well past that vibe at this point.

My wallet wouldn't be ok with the kind of money they're asking, I mean I would still go but it would hurt. I can see Nick Cave for €47, and Judas Priest + Iron Maiden for a hundred.
Yeah, it's expensive. But I will say one thing: I went to the 2016 São Paulo show with some friends that are not hardcore fans - they are general rock fans, who attend loads of shows, ranging from Metallica to Paul McCartney, to Roger Waters and AC/DC. They like GNR but weren't even aware of CD's existence or that Axl actually left his house from 93 to 2016. If you check youtube, you wll see that Axl did allright that night, but within the lack of rasp, falsetto and all that.
All my friends were particularly blown away by the show, placing it above most gigs and ranking among the best they've ever been to. Axl in particular was deemed a highlight, and everybody was impressed with how much he had left, his range, power, screams and stage presence. So it's not like their product sucks.

Very odd songs. Silkworms sound nothing like GNR.

I guess it boils down to taste and tolerance. I still think he under-delivers and exploits his fans by asking for outrageous amounts of money. They've played this show so many times, one would expect them to have it down to a t.
Exploits his fans is harsh. He tries and puts a lot into his performances, it's easy to see that. He is trying to work with what he has left, and there are loads of videos, even recent soundboards that allow fans and consumers in general to make an informed decision regarding paying to attend a show or not.

Sure, it all sounds better than Berlin, but in the end it still sounds like an angry Micky Mouse.
I'd take an angry Mickey over a tame Mickey anyday.

Also he seemed less bloated, in a great mood and cracking jokes all the time.

These guys are pushing 60. Think of how Axl used to sing and the drugs and smoking he’s done and factor in age. It all takes a toll.
Yeah, it's really all to do with age, really. We was really young in 2010, but went to bed after the tour and woke up old in 2011. He remained old until the end of 2014, sipping into his fountain of youth water sporadically, like in Philly 2012, Vegas 2014 and other gigs extensively posted in this very thread in the last few days.
He apparently found a second fountain of youth and drank loads from it in 2016, and it showed with both GNR and AC/DC. He ran out of it again in 2017 though, and by last sunday in Berlin he was out. Thankfully Fernando found some hidden away in Axl's vault, right by Atlas Shrugged, and picked it up while searching for a remix of SOYL to quench our thirst for NEW MUSIC.
It doesn't take a lot to recognize that Axl didn't experience (unlike Jon Bon Jovi, to be honest) a gradual decline with age. He had an extremely sudden drop after a beastly tour where he arguably sounded the closest ever to his 90's self, delivering consistently night after night. He has since bounced back, but with a completely different singing technique and forever diminished capabilities. He settled into a different and inferior level of performance (which, regardless of how he did in Odense, seems to be declining - NOW THAT IS AGE RELATED). He still gives glimpses of his former greatness from time to time.
Age does play a part, but the relative demise of Axl vocals is a massive mistery to fans, subject of frenetic speculation for years and years without answers, his disastrous lows peppered by inexplicable highs baffling most fans time and time again. Age doesn't come close to explaining it.

Axl doesn’t appear to like the melodies on Slither haha
overall he did decent on Slither especially after the solo, SOYL was pretty good! Could improve the beginning but it was good!
The rest of the set is like 2017 and I hated 2017 vocals.
I always like your opinions regarding Axl's vocals and tend to agree with them. I would agree that it was pretty much 2017 level all around, but I think it was more like mid-2017 (if there is such a thing lol). As in, it was stronger than the first few shows of 2017 in general. Perhaps if Axl keeps building on this he can reach something close to 2016, or at least 2016 after NA.

If they are following the same set they have missed Witchita and Used to Love her. They might have been added in place of Coma in Berlin.
Wichita has to go, really. By the look of things, Axl's perfomance and mood we might get some CD tracks like Madagascar and Prostitute.

100% this. So much THIS.
I'd even go on and say, Axl sounds strong for a second leg of tour. He sounds better than he did at the Troubadour, for what I saw from that. Better than he did at the start of every leg since 2011. It's a hell of a foundation to build on. Also Shadow shows us two things: his range is fine abd the reserves he draws from for those AC/DC performances seem to still be there. All is good with old Axl.

All the peopke talking crap last sunday, where are you?
We are right here. Axl was awful last sunday, Axl is not awful today. It's really simple, no rocket science.
Great for Axl and the fans, I was really cheering for that to happen.

As a starting point to a tour, Axl sounds allright. Decent point to build on, better than Sloan in 2017 imo, and better than 2014 in SA. He might sound great further into the tour.

Fears of Axl's vocal demise appear to have been premature friends....the redhead is still in the game
He is. I mean, it's far from perfect, but I would even so far go on to say that tonight he sounds better than at the start of 2017. If he builds on this he might sound pretty good as the tour goes on

Full mickey second part of Estranged is standart right?
Standard ever since it got back into the setlist, only one exception in Philly 2012.
Axl sounds ok so far, firmly into 2017 level.

I'd bet on Jungle, something like Nightrain or November Rain (it would usually be SCOM, but perhaps GNR camp are not keen on that due to being Axl's weakest song currently - it wasn't streamed at Coachella), and Shadow, due to it being treated as """""new material"""
