People are disputing it and the guys claiming this have a book coming out soon.

Horrible person? How so?
Mocking rape victims, advocating genocide... just off the top of my head.
-
RIP?
I can't honestly say I wish that for her. I won't celebrate a person's death, but I honestly felt nothing when I heard of her passing. She was too much of a horrible person for me to even gather any emotion towards.
I feel bad for her family, I guess.

I love how people try to discredit Kanye as an artist because of his behaviour. The man has never put out a bad solo album, the worst of his is still incredible. He creates and starts trends in music that others follow and really tries to push the boundaries of what is expected of him.
He is a living legend tbh.

I think they look ridiculous posing in front of their Iphones doing a sexy pose.
I'm sure the people these pictures were actually intended for didn't think so.
-
Did I say that? I said perverts, if you automatically associate that with men then that's on you.
-
Nice that child pornography isn't a big deal to some people, how disgusting.
Why is an underage girl taking nude pics of herself to begin with? Who did she send them to?
Oh yeah, not her fault ... once again, a man must have forced her to do it.
Blame everyone except her, she's a victim.
Yes, she is the victim. You trying to turn the theft of this girl's picture (as it stands, child pornography) as a way to blame the girl in them for it's release (and subsequent enjoyment of it by perverts) is gross.

So it boils down to people being mean to them on the internet.
I think most celebrities are well used to that.
No, the fact that the female celebrities receive so much hatred for being in something sexual as opposed to the guys in the situation is representative of a much bigger problem. Women in general will be called sluts and whores for the slightest thing, even the clothes they're wearing. That's my point. No one should receive criticism for anything they do sexually (as long as it's legal) but as with these pics being released, it shows a problem for women in terms of that.
As it relates to this case, these celebrities are being called whores and sluts and 'asking for it', simply because they took pictures in the privacy of their own home/hotel room/whatever. The same people who so desperately want these pics will simultaneously cheer and criticise the women in question. Ignoring the fact that these pictures were stolen and the women are victims of that theft.

Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and numerous other female celebs would tell you that their careers far from suffered. In fact, it was the complete opposite.
Which is why female celebrities have deliberately "leaked" sex tapes.
I'm talking about perception. In any youtube video, article, instagram picture or FB post will there be A LOT of people calling them whores and sluts, or (more ridiculously) telling them they should die etc. I can promise you that Tommy Lee nor Ray J receive hate for the sex tapes, because it's more acceptable for them to be sexual.
I know their careers didn't suffer but there's no reason they should be called names for the sex tapes, especially when their counterparts didn't receive the same name-calling and criticism.

As for your complete omission of the male celebrities involved I can only conclude you don't give a fuck.
I'm not saying I don't feel bad for the men though... it's that this whole thing was clearly a focused attack on the female celebrities, any males shown in this current leak scandal are the result of being in the same pictures as the women. It's obviously important that all people's privacy be respected, men and women, it's just that the targets in this situation were the women.
The men will resume being 'a male celeb that just happened to have nudes leaked' and then just 'a male celeb', and the women will be 'whores that should've been more careful' regardless of whether their careers suffer because of it or not. Again, not saying it's acceptable when it happens to guys but it is more accepted.

Was Mckayla 18 in the photos? If not ,I care not to see.
A few of the 'women' are suspected to have been underaged in their images, including her.
-
But she never addressed the hackers, just the people seeing the pictures.
It was a stupid point being made that only shows how ignorant some people are but hey, if you agree with that statement, there's nothing else I can say to you.
It's not molestation, that was a stupid word to use; but people are looking at naked images of women, of which these women didn't want people to see. Anyone should be able to look at that objectively and say it's wrong. It shows a bigger problem that people are so willing to disrespect someone's privacy by viewing stolen images of these women, than to view photos/videos of women that willingly put those files on the internet.
You have a lot of people paying for and eagerly awaiting someone to release illegally obtained images of people when they're naked, that is a serious problem.

Did you read the attention-seeking tweet of Patricia Arquette? It is the context, lady. The context.
It's cool to have a voice in something that should not happen, like this. But, let's be honest, 80% of people tweeting or discussing this topic couldn't care less about it, it's just a good opportunity for self-exposure and free publicity.
Yes I did and I don't see a problem with it? It's not attention-seeking, it's making a point concerning the nature of these hacked and leaked pictures. It may not be direct abuse, but it lends to the idea that men are entitled to any female body that want to see, and that is dangerous.
The fact that someone hacked to get these otherwise unattainable images of these female celebrities, shows a desperate sense of entitlement and is disgusting.

The best points I've seen made during this whole dust up are the ones about people who are all up in arms about the NSA yet have no problem looking at a ton of private, hacked pics.
I think there's a huge difference in how the information that is hacked is...um... used.
I don't condone hacking, it is always wrong imo, but the NSA and this... not really comparable.
The point isn't about how they're used, it's about how a certain group of people will rant about how hacking is bad when it affects them but have no problem with it when they can use the hacked material for their own (in this case, sexual) gratification.
Again, I want to know why there's such a draw to hacked pictures that these people didn't want you to see... when there's a plethora of naked people on the internet who want to show their bodies.

I will register a personal account on Twitter to crush these self-righteous little shits. Honestly, people think they deserve any kind of special treatment because... they're celebrities. It's bad that happened, it ain't my fault, though.
Don't want your shit on the internet, don't upload it.
How is it self-righteous and wanting special treatment to not want your private photos to be hacked into and released? What part of that is supposed to be some special privilege?
Finds it humorous that it's being called "The Fappening."
I kind of feel sorry for the first round of girls who this happened to. But at this point, really, they only have themselves to blame.
The name is not funny, it's really just making this more disgusting that it already was. Also, they don't have themselves to blame, the only person(s) to blame is/are the hacker(s).
Oh, and I'm usually captain morals, but fuck this shit. Yes, the guy who did it is in the wrong. Completely. But I've always felt that putting private pics of your punaner on whatever cloud service is a bit of a risk. Not a smart move. So yeah, sucks for you but this is a great global lesson on internet safety. Also, fuck people who If you call clicking on these pics mass molestation. You're a fucking idiot and need to get a grip on reality. People need to stop acting all holy about this.
The best comment I've read about it is this:
"On one hand I feel bad for Jennifer Lawrence. The other hand is busy."
What everyone seems to be missing is that the problem here is the auto upload to the cloud and that it's not deleted off there. One of the women said she deleted the pics, so she was obviously unaware of the auto-upload to the cloud feature. A lot of people seem to forget others aren't as tech-savvy as themselves, or even a little. Most of these celebs (whose pics are actually real and not photoshopped) probably thought once it's off your phone it's gone, not that they went out of their way to manually upload them to a cloud storage.
Also, even if they did, it's still not their fault and none of this will ever be their fault. They were the ones hacked into, they are the ones who had their privacy violated. They shared these pics with their partner, and some entitled asshole felt he had the right to steal them.

Okay I went back to Page 1 and looked, you are right. They definitely do not deserve to be called whores, sounds like something religious extremists would say.
But absolutely the women and men in these pictures deserve half of the blame. If they wanted to keep them to themselves, they shoulda used a digital camera and kept the pics on an SD card or something. They are celebrities, they know better than to take the chance of storing them somewhere that could be easily hacked. They willingly took an unnecessary risk, and these are the consequences.
Do you not find that incredibly sad though? That people need to censor their private and personal lives because someone on the outside of that feels entitled to it?
-
Sorry, but I can't feel any remorse for multi-millionaires being careless taking nude/sex pictures on their phones via a cloud network that could be hacked... knowing they would be prime targets for shit like this. They need to be more cautious. Most celebrities think they are untouchable to things like this and goes to show you what can happen. I agree, people SHOULD be able to take whatever pictures they want, but as an a-list celebrity with social media constantly buzzing around you? Gotta be more careful.
You're adding a whole lot of different stuff onto there that isn't needed, they're human beings who've had their privacy invaded. People should be attacking the asshole who thinks hacking people for nudes is acceptable and the people supporting that, instead of shaming and blaming these women for daring to take a picture of their naked bodies.
If someone doesn't want you to see their nudes, then you shouldn't ever see them. Someone hacking and stealing them shows a gross sense of entitlement towards someone's body, the fact that some people aren't seeing this is disturbing to say the least.

Spare us the bleeding heart feminist crap.
Any idiot that uploads that content to an internet capable device, local network or cloud service is asking for it to be leaked. Some of these were clearly sent via snapchat ffs. How many times do people have to be told that nothing on the net is secure and to take responsibility for their actions?
Bleeding heart feminist crap? I'm sorry that you're not used to people calling you out when you're wrong, it must be so tough for you.
People should be able to take whatever pictures they want without fear that some perverted asshole is gonna invade their privacy. They're not asking for it to be leaked, all they ask is for enough privacy that they're not hacked.
It says a lot that there's a lot of naked female bodies on the internet for men to get excited for, and yet the ones that really make them happy are stolen ones, released when a person didn't want them to be.

Who has called them whores?
None of them were forced to take those pics or put them up on the cloud. They willingly chose to do so, knowing full well it could be easily hacked.
Accountability, what a concept.
Someone on the very first page called them whores.
If we're gonna talk about accountability, let's talk about the accountability of the people hacking into other people's private images and posting them online. A celebrity (or anyone person) shouldn't have to censor their private life because some perverted asshole decides to steal images from them.
It's not the fault of the women in these pictures.
-
None of this is funny, at all. None of these women are whores and none of this is their fault. Every time someone looks at these pictures they're violating these poor women again and again. It's really not acceptable.

You're projecting your biases onto others. Who said anything about the "need" for a weapon, or that the weapon was "pushed" onto the child. Perhaps, the child wanted to learn to shoot. Did you ever think of that? And, the fact that you have never seen a gun??? You think that might make you a bit ignorant on the subject?
One of the happiest days of my young life was when my father allowed me to shoot a gun for the first time... I remember it like it was yesterday.
I don't think I've met any child that has a desire to shoot a real gun, a toy gun to play cops and robbers maybe, but not a real one. I'm not projecting any bias, a 9-year old shouldn't be wielding a weapon used to kill people, simple as that. People feel the need to have a gun due to fear that someone is out to get them, or that there's always a threat and yes, taking a 9-year old to shoot a gun is enforcing that. When a kid asks why mommy and daddy have a gun, and their reply is "for protection", that's pushing the idea onto the child.
If your happiest memory is using a weapon, then there mustn't have been much else happening in your childhood.

I've never even seen a gun in my 19 years of life, this is horrifying. The fact that anyone has to feel the need to have a gun is sad enough without that feeling being pushed onto children.

Eminem and Tyler? Nah... also M.I.A. doesn't really change the game with her stuff either, it's different but people don't jump on that style.
Nas and Andre (I prefer to say Outkast tbh) are creative and influential but Kanye actually shaped a change in how hip-hop sounded and reaches new grounds in terms of sound for the genre. Whether people appreciate or not, after he released 808's everyone was jumping on that auto tunes sound for their records.
Not denying Nas and Outkast's influence and creativity but it's not in the same way Kanye's is.
