  1. Wait, so you guys are arguing that it was arguably justified because you think Michael Brown charged at him? But the police are saying he came over to him and assaulted him, which is why he was shot. Those arguments don't seem to correlate to me.

Either he charged towards him and was shot because of the impending threat, or because he actually reached the officer and assaulted him.

Also, the argument that he's dangerous because he's 6'4 and 300lbs is ridiculous. Your height/weight/size don't make you a dangerous person.

  2. And see ** Flawless that's a major issue right there. If you're refering to me in anyway please explain. What have I said that expresses racism in any way. I'm simply presenting a point of view that most people won't express because to not agree 100% and to not side with Michael brown 100%, without knowing all the details mind you, equals being a racist. Yet you know for a FACT the officer killed him because he was a big black man? Maybe wait till all the facts actually come out before you start stating your opinion as fact. I find it very unlikely that this police officer woke up that morning and thought "I'm gonna shoot a big black man today if I get the chance. Preferably one that I have no suspicion of committing any crime. The more innocent the better" Yeah I'm sure that's what happened alright.

I'm referring to a few people. I don't think any officer wakes up thinking "I'm going to shoot someone today", that is absolutely ludicrous and that point of arguing (that a few people hold) is ridiculous. People criticising an officer shooting someone aren't saying he woke up wanting to do it, but when black males are targeted more than other people for doing nothing wrong... there is a problem there.

So, if someone has a different opinion than yours, they are racist?

It is most certainly relavent. It is a window into mind of the thug that robbed that store, and it explains his violent response when confronted by police moments later.

Yes, but the protests aren't the problem; the lawless looting, burning, and destruction of private property by a group of criminal thugs that have infiltrated Ferguson from surrounding areas... even other states!

That thug demonstrated his character when he commited a strong-arm robbery.

It must be nice to live in a fantasyland where there are no shades of gray and everything is so black and white.

What, specifically, are you referring to? How has the police changed the story, over time? Your just making shit up to suit your narative.

    1. No, but the language people use and the way they describe their ideas/opinions certainly indicates that they are.

    2. It's not, and he didn't have a violent response to a police officer as witnesses verify. The officer shot him without knowing he was a suspect and targeted him for something ever though as far as he should know, he was just a guy walking.

    3. The looters are people from out of town, some being white people that are taking advantage of the situation. The problem with the looters is that the people of Ferguson, the protestors are the ones trying to prevent it while the police are too busy throwing tear gas at peaceful protestors instead of stopping looters.

    4. Using the word "thug" doesn't make Michael any less of a victim, I'm sure you enjoy using that word as a way to paint stereotypical imagery of a gangsta, but you're wrong.

    5. When it comes to enforced racism, there is no grey.

    6. The police can't seem to decide what happened. First the officer knew he was a suspect, then the officer stopped him for jaywalking, then Michael was far away, then Michael tried to get the cops gun... honestly, what is it?

  3. It's nice to see racism is so alive and well in some of you. Again, the video is completely irrelevant to the case at hand. What people are protesting over is Michael Brown being shot and killed by a police officer, an officer whom the police say had no idea that Michael Brown was a suspect in any 'robbery'. Try and assassinate Michael's character all you want, but the fact remains is that this police officer shot him because he was a big black guy and nothing else.

It's funny how the only people in this situation who keep changing their story is the police, while everyone else's remain the same.

  4. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/robin-williams-dies-suspected-suicide-724724

On August 11, 2014, at approximately 11:55 a.m, Marin County Communications received a 9-1-1 telephone call reporting a male adult had been located unconscious and not breathing inside his residence in unincorporated Tiburon, CA. The Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Tiburon Fire Department and Southern Marin Fire Protection District were dispatched to the incident with emergency personnel arriving on scene at 12:00 pm. The male subject, pronounced deceased at 12:02 pm has been identified as Robin McLaurin Williams, a 63-year-old resident of unincorporated Tiburon, CA.

An investigation into the cause, manner, and circumstances of the death is currently underway by the Investigations and Coroner Division s of the Sheriff’s Office. Preliminary information developed during the investigation indicates Mr. Williams was last seen alive at his residence, where he resides with his wife, at approximately 10:00 pm on August 10, 2014. Mr. Williams was located this morning shortly before the 9-1-1 call was placed to Marin County Communications. At this time, the Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made. A forensic examination is currently scheduled for August 12, 2014 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.

I am honestly shocked, this man was my childhood. RIP.

  5. PC is so far beyond any console now that it's not even funny. Especially this early in the lifespan of this generation. You want a graphics upgrade from PS3 and 360, that would be the definite best way to go. With both PS4 and XB1 being based on X86 architecture, exclusives that won't be on PC will be few and far between too.

PC gamers are so arrogant sometimes.

In a discussion about graphics, they should be.

Not when the OP didn't enquire about it. He asked about the PS4 and Xbox One, I don't understand why PC users can't just let people enjoy consoles. Unless someone asks, there's really no reason.

  7. Has anybody here bought either of these and if so are they worth the cost of upgrading yet?

I've had a 360 and a PS3 for years and so far I can't really see all that much of an improvement graphically between generations.

I mean if you compared NES to SNES, SNES to N64, PS1 to PS2 and XBox to XBox 360 there was always a massive improvement in graphical performance.

I just can't see anything like that level of improvement In this new gen barring slightly nicer textures and wotnot.

Get a PS4 because Uncharted 4, although that's next year so if you don't want any of the other games, I'd wait. Don't even look in the direction of the disaster that is the Xbox One, it's more of a media centre than a gaming console.

  8. We KNOW Isreal is bombing Gaza in an effort to stop largely ineffectual rockets from Hamas, and we KNOW that kids die as a result of this. I morally condemn Israel for this violent abuse of power that mostly hurt kids.

Israel is bombing Gaza to eradicate the people and/or drive them away so they can take more land. Although they claim defence, I think anyone that isn't blinded KNOWS that this is their main objective.

  9. The Israeli government is trying to exterminate the Palestinian people, for years they've been treated as sub-human with their rights being taken away and now they're being killed off. Although I do feel for the Israeli citizens who want no part of it, I am disgusted by the one's who sit on hills laughing and cheering as bombs hit Gaza.

The Palestinians had their land taken away, and to this day, the Israeli government (and yes, it's people) are trying to take all of it. The land given to Israel in Palestine was not given to them by the Palestinians and so it is not right that they are acting entitled. Even if it was, what they've done is disgusting.

To say that it once 'was' Israel is ridiculous, that was long ago enough that it has no relevance to the current situation. That land has been Palestine for centuries and that land belongs to them, what we have is genocide happening right in front of our eyes in this modern world and it's being endorsed because people are too frightened to stop Israel. If this continues, it will be a moment in history that future generations look at and say "we should have done something, how was that allowed to happen?".

  10. It is complete bollocks if you ask me. I think Rolf is, at worse, guilty of a bit of hanky panky with a few teens in the '70s, at best, totally innocent, These vile and disgusting women are just fabricating stuff to get 'compen', meanwhile dragging a poor old man through the courts and into prison! Disgusting. Why did they wait 40 years? We need that law the United States has, whereby a lawsuit is invalidated if it is not pursued within 'x' amount of time.

I do not think any media personality over 50 is safe from money grabbing 'compen' obsessed witches - it truly is a witchhunt.

    Ugh, how gross.

  11. Gary's attitude is a clear sign of racism, homophobia and sexism that still effects people and that's why it's a problem. To think of someone negatively because of their race/ethnicity/gender/religion/sexuality is disgusting.

Cry about people being PC all you want but if you take a step back, you'll see you're just complaining because you're being told your words are offensive and because you're so entitled, you don't like hearing that you can't do what you want without repercussions.

  12. People who agree with him need to do some soul-searching. I for one don't get drunk and say slurs, and that's because I've been raised to know the history behind them and why they're damaging. If slurs are the go-to-words for when you're angry, that's pretty indicative of you as a person. I swear and use curse words, but not at the expense of anyone else.

I lost all respect for him as a person.

  13. Why is this shit any more offensive than a video game where it's like one of those army things and you're blowing the shit out of people from the middle east in it?

Not saying that's inoffensive, but it's COD and anyone that (still) enjoys that game isn't someone that you should expect to have high moral value. I could say that through context in some games, it's just a representation of real wars happening.

The thing that makes it different in a sense of context, is that within war it's understood that both sides are battling each other. In the case of a school shooting like Sandy Hook, it's a madman taking the lives of innocent people who aren't fighting back. To use a shooting like that isn't any more or less offensive, it's just seemingly more tactless; especially in the eyes of western society.

  14. A lot of the time, people who complain about censorship and about how people are too PC, are those who just don't appreciate being called out on their problematic and offensive behaviour / way of thinking.

This certainly isn't a case of censorship going too far, making a shooting game is fine but to use the name of a tragedy which resulted in the death of real people is classless and disgusting. If a family member of anyone were to see this game, it could trigger something detrimental mentally to them and that's not something that should be a possibility.
