. Funny how a guy who apparently couldn't defend himself physically against a 17-year old
actually he defended himself quite well,
You miss my point, I know he defended himself "well" (by shooting and killing Trayvon) but he said he shot Trayvon because he was beating him. If 17-year old Trayvon could beat George (no weapons) then why would he happily face a grown man who would most definitely have the upper hand?

Although I do feel as though English should defiantly be the official language of the United States, and that doesn't mean other people can't embrace their other languages)

As much as I'm disgusted by this (George's fame-whoring based off of his being a murderer), I hope DMX takes crack and goes nuts. Funny how a guy who apparently couldn't defend himself physically against a 17-year old (George obviously being armed), but he'll happily step up to fight a grown man.
It's almost as if he could've been lying.

Anyone offended by it is confused about their country. I guess diversity is only okay as long as some English-speaking, straight, white people don't feel like they're somehow being affected by it.

I think too many people here think that just because an artist is a legend, and they play songs that they like, that their half-time shows were good.
The best half-time ever is Prince.

It's also not helped by the media, there's a reason that the young boy who died was the victim used most in the coverage of the bombing story... and that's to fire people up, since the death of a child evokes that want for vengeance to a higher degree.
Or maybe because the murder of an 8-year-old boy is more tragic than somebody in their 20's?
It's really not, they both have families and they both lose their lives too young. To put the value of that child above the other two victims is disrespectful to their families, I'm sure they wouldn't like to hear that their loss is less simply because their loved one was older.
The fact that you said his death is more tragic is further evidence of why the media used him over the others, to get people like you riled up and more passionate about a more severe punishment.
Also, in response to his being more helpless... I hate to break it to you, but in the case of the Boston bombing, all the victims were equally helpless.

I never understood this revenge thing people want so much. Shouldn't the point of the legal system be restraining criminals from committing more crimes rather than please people with their perversions (revenge)?
I understand it. I just think it's the worst possible way to make decisions regarding justice.

Yeah, kill him so he can get to Allah and get his 21 virgins. Boy is this guy going to be very disappointed when he just dies and there's nothing after it.
Wow, no need to be disrespectful about religion.
My personal opinion is that the death penalty is disgusting, killing a killer? So logical.

Don't forget! The season finale tonight!
I want Stevie Nicks to come back and kill everyone and become the next supreme! and end the show with singing White Winged Dove. Sorry if that's not the song title, but it's an awesome song.
You were incredibly incorrect.

I don't see how people are calling him whiny? If you had worked on a script for years and sent it out to people who you thought were friends (especially it being a first draft), then I'm sure you'd be have a serious issue with the fact that it somehow leaked. Quentin takes his craft seriously, and I'd be the exact same way.
You wouldn't tell an author to get over it when their book leaks etc.

Not necessarily met but I sat next to Johnny Marr in the cinema, and also saw Morrissey in Pizza Express (although I daren't approach him because... well, it's him).
FOR FUCKSSAKE FLAWLESS!!! Johnny Marr and you didn't say nothing?!?!?!?!?! Moz I could understand although i'd've still said something but Johnny Marrs a fuckin' geezer, how could you not say anything?!?! Tell me more, what film were you watching, how could you tell in the dark it was Johnny Marr, what happened i want details!!
And Moz in Pizza Express? What Pizza was he having? What the fuck, Morrissey wouldn't go to no fuckin' pizza express, come on, you can't just leave it at that! I can't BELIEVE you just ignored Johnny Marr though, fuckin', i'd get my fuckin' prayer matt out for that one, fuckin' hell.
Seriously, you makin' this up, Morrissey in a pizza express? I want details young lady!
I didn't realise! I went to sit down after the lights had dimmed a bit, and I generally don't take notice of people sitting next to me that I'm not with. I then got up after the film had finished without looking at him, and my friend whispered the situation to me (by then I was equal amounts of ashamed and star-struck, resulting in my inability to speak to him). Although, I smiled and nodded at him which he reciprocated, which was rather nice. The film was The Avengers btw.
I tried not to stare at Morrissey as did everyone else who obviously recognised him, even the waitress seemed terrified to approach him. I wasn't close enough to know the details of his order but our waiter told us that it wasn't the first time he'd been there. He didn't go into a fit of rage or berate anyone for getting a meat pizza so I assume Pizza Express dulls his preaching . He definitely gave off the 'don't approach me' vibe.

That guy looks like he's having a heart attack in the gif
Also if Taylor Swift won the Grammy for "Album of the Year" ...I don't even...
She's won it before.

Couldn't make it past the first one... garbage to me... Again, if you like it awesome, but man oh man, I just do not get it...
I don't mind some Eminem songs and I saw him live at Lollapalooza a few years ago. He was pretty entertaining. I don't mind a Kanye song or two but I forgot their names, and I like that one Jay Z song with Linkin Park. That is the extent of what I like with rap.
Sorry, folks
You didn't like the first one so you're going to ignore the rest? Okay. If I did that, I'd have never started liking Guns N' Roses.

Not really, quite happy with the music I love. More power to you if you enjoy it though.
Care to post some songs up so I can listen to the better ones, though?
I didn't mean to sound rude, but anyway, here's some of my favourites from his nominated album:
-
Who the fuck are these people? I've never heard of Kenrick Lamar until tonight... rap?
Yes, rap. If you've never heard of Kendrick before, then I suggest you look into him. He's great.
Meh, not into rap
Your loss.

Daft Punk didn't deserve Album of the Year for RAM, and Macklemore didn't deserve any of his wins.
I'm convinced that people are gaga for Macklemore simply because he's for gay rights.
I'm for gay rights as well, but it doesn't change the fact that his "music" sucks.
It's not that, he's a white guy with a relatively decent flow who makes music that is easily digestible for the 'pop' music listeners. His modern ideals may have something to do with it, but it's mostly his mainstream appeal. Kendrick Lamar deserved to win every category Macklemore beat him in, but I disagree with you, Macklemore's music is decent.

The only performance that mattered:
-
Disagree entirely that McCounaghey is undeserving, it's a marvellous performance and he's been on an extraordinary roll the last few years (though granted, he had quite a bit to atone for).
Let's not throw a pity party for DiCaprio. Pacino waited longer than he probably will, I just hope that when DiCaprio finally wins he actually deserves it.
I adore Lawrence, but she needs to lose this. For her own sake. The backlash is inevitable, and a back to back win against more deserving nominees will make it worse.
What makes it worse is that she arguably deserves this one more than last year's so if she does win this year the backlash will be even worse.
Also Bad Grandpa got nominated for hair and makeup but American Hustle didn't? What?!
The American Hustle was atrocious, the wigs made me want to throw up.
Nebraska is a beautiful film... much more deserving than that stupid Blue is the Warmest Color of the Palme D'or
If 12 years a Slave wins the academy awards for Best picture it will be a bigger upset than when Crash won
any other movie is more deserving (except American Hustle and I never saw Gravity)
But then again it's all politics
It will be an upset if 12 Years doesn't win... that's the film that most critics and audiences would probably agree deserves to win. A lot of news websites had run stories of how the Golden Globes had snubbed 12 Years and the cast completely (before it won Best Drama film).
To me the fact then "flawless" or ANGELINA have a say on hiow hispanics feels or how they should feel should show how hispanics really feels
how white girls try so hard to be a part of it
Disgusting
Excuse you?

I just have a feeling Leo won't win
He never does, even if he deserves it.
I have this weird feeling that he will, hopefully the Oscars look past the hype that Matthew is undeservedly getting and give it to either Chiwetel or Leo.
I think it is between Chiwetel and McConaughey which could split the vote and lead to a Leo upset.
To be honest I think he was far better in Djanjo than Christoph Waltz who won the Oscar and he didn't even get a nomination.
Leo's a severely underrated actor (in terms of how the academy treat him). He's deserved to win at least a couple of times before but they seem to hate him. I think because he said that awards aren't the most important thing to him, they shun him slightly. They do it to Joaquin Phoenix, nominate them so they're obliged to turn up but then don't give them anything.

I'm gonna go see Wolf of Wall street on sat so my opinion my change
It will change.
Why do you say that with such certainty? Wolf - given the sheer enormity of the role - is Leo's best chance yet.Leo won't win but I'm definitely happy for his nomination. I was rooting for him.
Don't get me wrong. I loved Wolf. It's my favorite movie of 2013 and I loved Leo's performance, stunning, brilliant, he killed it. I just think everything's on McConaughey side.
First one was undeserved. This one is definitely not.Jennifer Lawrence is gonna win her second Oscar already
This one is as undeserved as her first, this Oscar should go to Lupita.
I should've clarified that I was referring to the nomination only. Sorry.
I still think the nom is undeserved tbh, she had not got much range as an actress and isn't convincing. I can never not see Jennifer Lawrence instead of her character.
Woody Allen alleged child molestation
in SEEN THAT MOVIE TOO

I believe he abused Dylan, and I don't believe Dylan is a victim of her mother. To me, it seems as though it's been a struggle for Mia because Woody has a significant place in Hollywood, the roots of which run through more than we know.
The man was seen in public with Soon-Yi as soon as she turned the age of what would be (sort-of) acceptable, I think that he groomed and took advantage of her as well. The two farrow children that are in the public-eye (Ronan and Dylan) seem like intelligent and grounded people, I only wish both of them the best. I think Ronan counts himself lucky as I think it's clear that he knows (and anyone else with decent eyesight knows) that Frank Sinatra is his father, and not Woody.
Also want to add that I've always been disgusted by celebrities being defended simply because of their 'art', an example being Roman Polanski.
