  1. You know what? The boys shouldn't tour North America at all.

    You don't deserve them...

The reception that Europe and particularly the UK gave the band was amazing given the lack of an album. The personnel issue simply isn't a problem here, people accept the band wholeheartedly as GNR.

They go back to the US to idiots shouting about Slash.

Guns should focus their energy on the places where the demand is strongest. Name Europe, South America and Asia.

North America should be on par with Guatamalia in order of importance for the band.

Not that you even deserve a response, but seriously, could you please kill yourself? :P

  2. Absolutely agree. Im 21 years old now (born in 85) and I wouldve loved to be this age sometime around 87-88. Back when music was music and not the garbage thats in the mainstream today. Bands like Aerosmith, GNR, U2, Bon Jovi, Skid Row...oh man, id give anything. Im just glad a few of those bands, including Axl's GNR are still around for us younger generations to enjoy today.

I think this is why a lot of younger fans are so eagerly anticipating Chinese Democracy. We want our Apetite for Destruction. We wanna rock.

  3. I don't like TWAT or any of the new songs/demos for that matter so I'm actually happy he dropped TWAT along with some of the other new songs/demos.

well fuck you very much for that

joke...youre entitled to your opinions....but seriously, wow :)

  4. While i know its your right to say what you feel on this board, i gotta say, a lot of you people are nuts. Axls back with a new, extremely talented, lineup. But since its not slash or izzy a lot of u still arent pleased. Well guess what, they left. they walked away. they fucked all of us GNR fans over, NOT AXL. He never pushed them away, he only wanted the band to evolve with the times. The same way zeppelin, aerosmith, the rolling stones did. They fucked us all over, not axl. So all people who bitch and moan still, with a new GNR album on the way baffle me. Slash, Duff, and Matt ditched and betrayed us GNR fans, not Axl. His only fault was having too great a vision for the future of Guns. The others couldnt share it and got scared of the work it would take. so FUCK ALL OF YOU naysayers. YOU dont like it? dont listen and dont go to the concerts! no one sure as hell is askin you to. Thank God Axl still has a GNR to offer us, depite the short comings of the former members. Thankyou Axl, the intellegent fans are very grateful to you.

Like what Axl said himself last night...A lot of people THINK they know what goes on in Guns...N...Roses. And a lot have their head so far up Axls ass they can see the back of his teeth. Get real dude.

Ok dick, the point of my post was that Slash and co. were the ones that let the fans down by walking away from Guns N' Roses. Every great lead singer has been a control freak (Tyler, Jagger, Plant) Axl is no exception to this. Slash just uses that at his lame ass excuse for walking away from one of the greatest rock band of all time. Nevermind that he went out of his way to get back in a couple years before VR formed. Im being real dude. Are you sure you are?

  6. I did listen to the entire Axl radio show, so I am not sure this is considered news or not but.....

Around 10:35 pm tonight, I was listening to DJ Matt Court on Philadelphia rock station 93.3 WMMR. He played Paradise City and Live and Let Die. After the two songs were over he mentioned the HammerStein shows. He then mentioned how he is friend's with Tommy Stinson. He clearly said GNR has 4 guitarists. According to Court, Tommy told him GNR will have 4 guitarists: Richard Fortus, Robin, IZZY STRADLIN, and a fourth suprise guitarist. So according to him, Izzy is NOT the surprise, but he IS performing. That immediately gives Axl's use of the name Guns N' Roses more validity. This DJ did have Tommy in the studio a few weeks ago, and did seem to know what he was talking about. He also had is picture taken with Axl when Axl came to Philly for the NBA Championship here, a few years back. Luckily, I will know firsthand Friday night, as I make the voyage to the Hammerstein!

Personally, this seems far fetched and would shock the hell out of me if prooved true. We'll see friday.

  7. I posted this on VR's website. We'll see if the mods post it. Here's hopin.

Wow man, that letter Axl packed a lot of punch. A lot of anger there. But dude, bad move. It was very sophmoric and immature and the vast majority of GNR/VR fans are seeing it for exactly that. Dont believe me? Do a little homework assignment and check the forums. Bad PR move man. A lot of the people who go and spend money on you and your shows are HUGE supporters of Axl, myself included. Youre a grown ass man, have a little class. The "fraud" and "spineless" comments were added in Axl's letter to show how Slash was sending all sorts of mixed and strange signals. You took it WAY too personally. Your response was like a 14 year old girl writing mean notes about someone who talked shit about your 'friends". Gossip responding to gossip. But Axl wasnt talking shit. He's being sued. This is what happens. Dont act so hurt and angry. Its bad for your 'bad manchild' image.

Oh, and by the by, if you wanna throw insults at someones appearance, something that they cant help...maybe you should start being concerned about your own. Your dress style is a tad on the, oh shall i say, late 80s AXL-like. Hmm. Strange. Cant imagine why. I wont comment on the things you cant help. I actually am better than that.

Best wishes and hoping youve learned from this lame ass mistake....Nick

  8. Merck is such a smug little prick in the way he answers Madisons questions always. "This is bogus." "No, not happening" always blunt and rude. Fuck. Never a "No not tomorrow, but hang in there next month should be interesting." Whenever i see one of his responses to Madisons queries i wanna rip his little eurotrash ponytail of that head of his. He forgets that all the money he's getting from Axl to manage him came from us fans. We deserve his respect yet never get it.

  9. Madison, put yourself in Axls position. Youre getting sued by a friend from 10 years ago for a nonsensicle reason. He drops by to say he wants to make good and disses his current friends. He leaves, you think everythings cool, only to find that he's still screwing you over and the lawsuit remains. Its kinda hard to play nice when youre stuck in a situation like that. I sympathize with Axl on this one, sorry. What Slash did makes no sense, courage or not. Hes still trying to screw Axl.

I'm not saying Axl isn't justified for feeling betrayed when the suit concerning the ASCAP clerical error wasn't dropped. Quite the opposite -- I totally understand and applaud Axl for speaking out on the suit.

However, I disagree that it was "pathetic" of Slash to show up at Axl's door to try to mend fences. I think it took courage for Slash to do that.

Agreed....i just dont understand Slashs motives here....maybe he's torn between his loyalty to his current bandmates Duff and Matt, but still a part of him desperately wants to make ammends with his once brother. who knows. we dont.

  10. This whole thing makes Slash look pathetic!

Why? Because he went out of his way to try to make amends with Axl? It took a lot of courage for him to do that. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. As for his comments -- we don't know the context around which he made them. So, it's impossible to assume he was just bashing his bandmates. We don't know.

btw, I did hear back from Merck, who said the mysterious paragraph was always part of the release, but was "edited out of the version that the wire service sent out." However, he didn't explain why BW wasn't contacted about the error so that the release could be re-issued with a correction. *shrugs.* So, I still don't fully understand what happened and why.

  11. I like how Axl calls himself "the stronger" one in the same fuckin' paragraph as his little tirade (in which he sounds like a gossiping teenage girl) against Slash and his Velvet Revolver bandmates.

I wonder if Axl still wears his martyr t-shirt? That'd be funny.

Cuz Duff, Slash, and that old lady Matt didnt seem like unreasonalble biased jackasses on Behind the music and other interviews. Theyve been climbing up on the cross for the past 10 years with their ridiculous and everchanging stories. Talk about martyrs. Youd think the way they talk about it that Axl was the one who walked away from them and not vice versa. <_<
