A management that leaks demo tracks to a radio station for an album that's causing the biggest hype in rock history for the past 10 years isn't really managing anything, is it?

If they really wanted to get stuff on the radio, they'd send out promo discs. Not a 2 minute snippet of a song.

Radio stations are playing the demo's because of the hype around it. Because people are already interested. Not because a management sends it to them. What's the point in giving radiostations stuff to broadcast if it doesn't even sound like what's on the actual album?

I wouldnt be surprised if Axl released the IRS, Better, and TWAT demos on purpose just to see which one the fans warmed up to the most. Then collect the 13 out of the 32 songs that are closest to that sound and put them on the first album...The second album will probably be more experimental and different from everything else we've heard....and since the obvious winner is Better, this album should kick a whole lot of ass. Just a theory.

Better and The Blues definately can be considered big guns. Both are nothing short of amazing. Twat and IRS are both good and solid songs, but ill need to hear the studio versions before i judge either completely. All I know is that I am definately satisfied with what I've heard so far. Despite what some overly judgemental fans have to say, if the rest of the album is like this, it will be HUGE. Period.

As for "every" major summer festival - c'mon, you can't be seriously saying that. Rock In Rio? That's every summer festival now? Coachella, Bonnaroo, Vegas Bonaroor, Teluride, Lollapalooza... they don't count anymore? Big deal that Axl manages to scrape together his traveling side show for the same one concert year after year. When he can put out an album and play more than a handful of shows from a tour, maybe I'll change my mind. But if IRS is any indication, the album's going to suck anyways.

Believe me, there's nobody on this planet who'd want to see an Axl Rose comeback more than I do. But I just think it's many years off. Axl's going to have to get over himself, swallow his pride and admit that Izzy, Slash and the rest of the band had as much to do with the music as he did. Maybe when Chinese Democracy comes out and fails, it'll humble Axl to the point that he can mend fences with the old band mates. I'm ready for the Axl comeback, but I don't think it'll happen for another ten years.

For the record, I thought VR's album was weak, but at least they were putting out music. There were a couple of good riffs on there. From the interviews I've read, their new sprawling concept album sounds retarded.

On hearing these new demos I realised the difference between Kurt Cobain and Axl Rose. Axl whilst great in many ways struggles to bring his music up to date - Hence why he has taken a very long time. If you listen to 'You know you're right' by Nirvana you hear music which is way ahead of its time. This new music by Guns N' Roses is relevent because of bands like NIN.

If he does that, he will severly hurt his legacy and the GNR brand. The bottom line is this: none of these new songs have blown any of us away. Dude, stop harping about how it's not like Apettite or UYI....we already have those albums, we want something different, but something that still kicks ass. These songs deliver. Youre not a music critic, kaneda, youre just another fan. Twat is an amazing song, as is IRS. The solos kick ass and are very complimentary to the songs. And lets face it, the finished products will be better than anything else thats been released in the past 10 years. These songs, so far, have definately met my expectations. Stop complaining.

I guess IRS could be the first single then...that's too bad, I don't consider it a great song at all (in fact VR has a couple of songs that are superior IMO ). One thing that popped into my mind though is that Better might be the first single, which is why only half of it got leaked. I don't even know if that makes any sense (maybe the end is amazing), I guess it's just curious that the other songs are leaked in full but Better is not...could be a moot point if it will be though.
