And here are Perhaps and The General just waiting to be played. 😕

If Slash is going back to SMKC in January, it would make sense to put out all 4 (or however many) finished songs they have on the next EP. 2 new tracks plus a couple random live tracks was a waste of plastic on the last one IMO.

I’m hoping, if that’s the case, they surprise with all 4 (or however many songs they have completed) all at once. Show us they still have some tricks up their sleeves.

Does anyone think there really is a coherent release plan in place for Perhaps and The General? I want to believe there is, but I’m sorta unconvinced.

When The General drops I can’t wait to see all the blast from the past posters from over the years pop in to give their take. No doubt, Kaneda will make his own thread on the subject. 😆

For sure, but I guess the keyword here is follow through. I hope these breadcrumbs are leading toward a tangible release. I’m just kind of over the odd teases. If by Paris they don’t play or release anything but some engineer shows us 3 letters this time of The Gen… it’s gonna be pretty dumb

Yeah and it’s kind of a bully move to tease us like that without the pressure to follow through. I think the media and music scene in general are beyond caring, and probably won’t even talk about it unless they flat out release something, so it’s only us who will kick up a fuss. But also, there’s zero pressure on them to actually put it out, so I’m not sure why they bother other than for the lulz when they see us react.

Pressing “Buy” on the iTunes app for The General will be just as surreal for me as walking into Best Buy back in 2008 and buying Chinese Democracy.

I maintain that it is. Someone recently matched the drums to whatever’s going on in that cell phone recording too. We’ll find out soon enough!

Not at all. A live album would have been cool in 2017. That ship has long sailed. No matter how well shot some extras are, no one will give a shit. Same could be argued about new music I suppose, but at least that has a chance if they actually get behind it this time.

I heard it contains a special moment where @Fernando listens to The General on his headphones while flipping off the camera for its entire duration.

That main riff in Oklahoma/Berlin was mean as fuck, so yeah if there’s a larger release in the pipes I sure hope that’s on it!

I mean, with A-list photographers shooting the band, Perhaps being sound checked and The General showing up on the set list pics (and also likely soundchecked in bits) it’s insane to think we may be on the cusp of an album type release right? That’s for fans of other bands, yes? 🫣
