You’re not wrong in that it’s certainly nothing new to throw exclusive tracks on physical copies. I think the annoyance comes from the idea that, while you and I might love our vinyl and see it as special, the vast majority of fans in 2023 consume their music digitally and they’d be left scrambling for ripped YouTube videos that would likely be pulled off quickly anyway.

New Richard interview discussing new music
Nick85 replied to The Real McCoy's topic in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
I just can’t see Axl committing to hunkering down to hammer out a legitimately “new” record in a timely manner at this point in his life. It almost goes against everything we’ve witnessed over the last 25 years. I just don’t see it, but I suppose stranger things have happened in human history. -
I think Slash definitely elevated both Hard Skool and Absurd. Perhaps is (and was) piano driven. You can prefer Robin’s style, but his solo wasn’t anything over the top creative like what he did on other songs in that era. I think The General will be a good opportunity for Slash to lay down something special.

Chinese era is finally ending?

If there’s really only two tracks left “in the can” after The General, one will almost certainly be Atlas. The big question is what will that 6th track be. You’d hope they picked it based on whether Slash and Duff could/have elevated it with their sound(s). I’m hoping it’s Oklahoma/Berlin, but certainly wouldn’t be disappointed if it’s Soul Monster. -
Atlas Shrugged (November Release?)

The sources are dogshit, but it would go along with what Fortus just said about them clearing out what’s already in the can before recording new stuff. We’ll see soon enough. -
So much! Was worried it’d be some variation of the tongue again, which though an invaluable marketing tool has been leaned into a bit too much in recent years. The new tune is great, and LOVE that it has a Keef solo.

Yeah I have no issue with the mixes. Some people are sound nerds and it means exponentially more to them when something hits their ears a certain way.
