Doesn’t look like it!

Clearly there was an intent to release it earlier this summer, until there wasn’t, which is why they stopped. Now it seems like it’s coming so they’re probably just boning up on the chords and all that.

I think the frustration has a lot to do with the fact that “Perhaps” is such a small breadcrumb to throw fans so to keep delaying its release makes it that much more annoying. It’s also pretty much a given that no real promotion will back it up so it begs the question of why do they bother continuously inventing reasons to not release it.

It’s sad how apathetic they’ve become to stringing along the fanbase. I mean they’ve always been pretty unselfaware, almost as a rule, in regard to the lack of new music but this has become next level.

I’ve said it before, but really the best thing about GNR officially dropping Perhaps is that it likely means The General is not far behind, assuming they’re meant for another EP type release.

I’ve had no words from the first I heard of the jukebox leak, and still don’t. Just wild and so so odd.

I’m currently chalking up this next delay to Fernando working furiously in PowerPoint to throw together another half-assed lyric video. 😏

That would be AMAZING…but this current god awful rollout for just one (previously leaked) song is just so totally on brand for them.😕

GNR are now the alcoholic family member who just, and heartbreakingly, refuses to their act together and get help. Today they just came home wasted…again.

But that came out of the blue, on the second show of that NA run. Perhaps has been oddly cockteased for months now. “Yeah? Cool.”

Be nice if the reason for delay now is because someone decided to nut up and release all four (or however many) of the completed tracks at once.

Whatever the cause of the delay has been, and it may be valid, Perhaps as a single song just ain’t worth it. It’s just not.

Probably means nothing, but all leaked versions of the Perhaps 2000 demo have been scrubbed from YouTube. Up until yesterday there were still at least two versions up.

Dozens of news outlets reported that 8/11 was the day, yet GNR insiders chose an obscure Italian site to pass on the news that it is in fact delayed. Yep, checks out.👌🏼

For the sake of the band, I really hope we’ve fallen victim to a misunderstanding and that it’s still slated to come out tonight for a live debut at tomorrow’s show.

Also, the only good thing about Perhaps finally coming out is that it presumably gets us a bit closer to the release of The General.

This all just so fucking dumb. There’s just no other way to look at this “roll out” of a 20+ year old single. Dumb, however on-brand.

Same here dude. We don’t get much in the way of new music as GNR fans so having these small breadcrumbs pulled away just isn’t cool.

So why do we think it’s not happening…again?

Why are people expecting news today?

I’m just so very glad I didn’t buy a ticket for Chicago. No new music, no deal.
