I see your points in shutting the forum down. But at the same time, it doesn't make sense, because exactly these moments, when people wanna discuss something, are the reason we have this forum and that people turn up here. If it's shut down, it's totally useless.

I like how it’s open to club members on show days.  for one it made me the long time lurker come out of my shell and join.  I know people will bitch that it costs to much to join or whatnot, but it’s only fair to do what helps keep the forum running. Hell, I’ll even donate a few member ships when I get paid.

Whatever happened to the guy who started all this? I just remember it was years ago and in the GNR mailing group I was in, he called himself "TAxl"

I have my tea and crumpets,I’m ready for a  story!

He did appear to be in slightly better shape.. Hopefully the tour will add to that. He was doing jumping jacks during Rocket Queen lol

They hate Hershey for some reason, when I saw them in philly they were having fun, by Hershey it was meh.

I like WVH and his new album. I'm seeing them play a headline show the night before GnR so I'll be seeing them 2 nights in a row. I'm glad it's not Pumpkins this time personally.

He sounds like the music I listened to in the 90s, won’t back down is the only song I do like the others are good.

  4. I grew up on WWF or wwe. I don’t watch much anymore Since Kane was retired, since the undertaker has retired, and now getting rid of wyatt. Wtf. But I also think they’ve turned alexa bliss into something like what bray was and they needed to save money.

    This band...

I was ready to write an utterly defeated post in the Hershey Park thread, that performance was just devastating as a fan. Didn't get the chance to due to the forum going offline.

Was very worried this show would be another nail in the coffin.

And then I wake up to see Silkworms has been performed.

Whatever Axl's issues were on that first night really hit him hard. I wonder if he blew his voice rehearsing. Thankfully they seem mostly gone.

As it stands this tour is now shaping up nicely. Axl sounding good, they've adjusted the tempos, a bunch of new stuff in the set.

The only thing I wish they'd change is the order of the beginning of the setlist. Otherwise perfect.

Oh and bring back Don't Cry!!!!

I knew Hershey would be a clusterfuck, ive seen other bands come my way on the very first stop and it’s never good, I always try to go see a show in the middle of the tour, I’ve seen bands who were at the end of the tour and they are either tired, don’t care, burnt out or something else. I bought the cheapest tickets for Hershey.

The thing is with crowdfunding we aren't really giving anything in return and it's not a longer term solution. The forum ideally does need to be self sufficient to a point whether that's via ad revenue (so please don't use ad blockers if you can bear it) or Club Membership for which there are benefits to the forum member.

As downzy has said above he does and will continue to bear some of costs whilst fans are still getting something from the band and the forum but there is a limit as to how much one person can carry when the hosting costs spike after a very lean period. Hopefully over time things will even out a bit.

You don’t have to give anything in return, I’ve donated to many bands, and other things that i clearly just donated, I didn’t want nothing in return,I would hope many people would feel the same way, but not everything is about giving back In return, it would raise money so you wouldn’t have to shut down. If everyone else is doing it, I don’t see why you couldn’t.  In the end even if the goal was 5000 you’d have some money at least.

That's understandable. I know all countries are not equal and it's fantastic that we've had a lot of generous members step up today to help others who are in more difficult circumstances and whose posts they enjoy.

The forum going from virtually dead to a deluge of posters put us in a tricky spot and we've been trying to figure out how to best manage that. If GNR continue to put new music out and do enough to keep everyone interested we might be okay in the future with ad revenue.

    Thanks for understanding.

Can you start a GoFundMe me or something? Because I would totally donate, I've been here since 06 as a lurker and mainly am, but decided to finally break out my old name and become a member to help out.

  8. When I saw them in 16 and 17 the wife kept asking why we would leave when KOHD started, I said I cant sit though 11 minutes of it. Plus I dont like covers or paradise city. Up to then all the songs I loved were played. In philly i was the only one in my area excited for better and sorry, last night watching them at absurd my wife was like what's wrong. And I'm like it's a 20 year old.song reworked but dammit I was never so happier. If they could only play Shacklers and OMG.

  9. I think if covid wasnt an issue and they toured again the VIP stuff would be better, it feels like they had to get the cheapest stuff asap. Compared to other bands VIP swag, I've seen ID 9 times since 2017 and each time they do VIP they give you merch like shirts, hats and a bunch of other cool stuff, they let us on stage to see all the instruments and stuff they use on stage, we could actually try stuff out. They took pictures, the food tent had a ton of stuff catered from snacks to BBQ. But at the same time VIP wasnt 400 or 900 for ID like it is for GNR.
