i can't hear the fucking guitars
what is wrong with these people? why they wouldn't stop talking. You are there to hear the fucking music STFU
If they were actually there for a real concert experience, they wouldn't be on their phones in the first place. Be happy with what we're getting.

I'd say the enterprise center far more likely than the dome
I would prefer an arena, but It's not big enough, and they'd have to contend with the hockey schedule. The dome is empty.

Well the tour wraps up October 16th so there's still time to reschedule I'd say by the end of October. Might be a bit chilly out but it can be done
That's about the only time they can do it. I remember seeing Pearl Jam at Alpine Valley in October of 2000 and it was about 20 degrees out. It was miserable, but a very memorable show. I just hope the rescheduled date is on a weekend. Either way, come Sunday...Go Bears!

When should the statement have been made? Obviously they planned on performing tomorrow, or the stage wouldn't have been put up. Who's to say that he didn't get a checkup at 1pm today and the doctor officially shut it down? He's performed while sick and with a quickly diminishing voice in the last week and a half. He did the same in London last year. The man did a 3 hr set in 100+ degree heat index in Chicago. There's no doubt in my mind that he planned to give it a go until he was told not to. 24+ hours is a pretty good pocket of time to give ticketholders in a case like this. It gave me enough time to call my wife and text my daughter to say that we're not driving down to StL tonight.

Did they fill the arena in Lexington?

have we got an offical announcement or is it via somewhere else?
I read it on a local StL news site, but evidently emails have been going out to ticket holders. I was just going to buy them at the gate tomorrow to save on fees since they were almost $100 for three tix on the website.

Fuck, I'm glad I didn't book any rooms. I was really looking forward to a weekend away for that show.

St. Louis postponed

Crestfallen is a really good song. Axl would've been fantastic singing that song.

Interesting Facebook posts from Dave Abbruzzese (PJ'S best drummer). He posted a few published tidbits about his short time working with Axl, but also mentioned a new book coming out that he interviewed for that will explain why it didn't work out. I wonder if it's a book on the Chinese era, or just another PJ book?

Cause it's their home turf
They've played LA a ton since 2016, and had to downgrade to a smaller stadium two years ago. It's a good idea to skip it this time around. People can take the drive to San Diego if they want to see them.

I have no self control and just ordered a Boston litho on eBay
I ended up having to do the same for the Wrigley litho.

He said something about a full reboot next year or something like that.
I thought so...doesn't make sense for a band that's going on hiatus for 5 years.

Didn't the stage manager say that they're putting together an all new stage/show or something when he said a new song is coming any day to the VIP crowd?

I've never seen one man get sick as often as I have Axl Rose.
The man hasn't been home since late May. It's bound to happen.

Damn, that crowd is loud. I miss seeing these guys in arenas.

Did anyone get an extra litho they'd be willing to sell/trade? The lady in front of me got the last one at the Gallagher Way stand and there were none inside. It's not a great design, but I have one from all 26 shows we've seen since Slash and Duff came back before yesterday, and Chicago is my hometown show.

Hotter than fuck but this show is better than Boston so far

I was quite impressed with Axl's vocals at that show. It's never going to be perfect, but it was good. The normal struggle songs were there, but he had quite a few highlights. One of the guys with us mentioned a few times throughout the night that he didn't think Axl could hit half the notes he did. Being at the show is certainly a lot different than watching clips on YouTube, but I'm guessing the large group of haters who constantly spew that Axl can't sing anything anymore would at least partially change their minds if they were there live.

Just got back. Some random thoughts:
The stage show looked trimmed down. Back to basics, no pyro, lights, etc.
The band was very tight.
Axl looked like he was having a great time.
The rain kind of sucked, but it did give a good vibe.
The Pretenders were awesome. One of the best opening bands I've ever seen.
I agree about the Pretenders. I haven't seen them in years, and really liked their set.

Fantastic show! I've been to 600+ concerts and have never been soaked like that. It was an unreal rain. The 100 degree heat on Thursday will make up for that. I can't wait for that one after tonight.

Agreed, I like Raw Power quite a bit, but like the first two much more.
