Love your list !! I only chose 2 Chinese cuts but I am a big CD fan..I guess I also thought what Glasto expects and what would go down well. I'd love Maddy actually...when he delivers on that, it's a great track and Slash sounds better than most of CD on that one! I always used to just use the "Queens" postcode at Buckingham Palace when I was abroad for things like this. Always worked, how could they refuse her! š¤Ŗ

I saw AM at TRNSMT 5 years ago and It was a far better show than last night. Yes, they've changed and he was clearly still a bit ill, so somewhat understandable....but now GNR need to up the energy and bring it....it's not like they're following "that amazing opening night performance..." could be a good thing.

I feel your anxiety....but why not look at it this way...does a good show, gets half decent reviews, releases new single....goes into Glasgow on a high and continued energy and vigour....that could happen too! He can push it tonight without going crazy..there will be stuff that won't sound great tonight but if the start and some of the rest if decent, we can be fairly satisfied, I think! A full Kiss set does NOT sound good. A full Motley set does NOT sound good....a full Brian Johnson AC/DC set does NOT sound good...we could go on...

If they play the "hits" and have a cool guest, they'll basically get away with whatever else they do, as they'll be enough for a highlight reel to remember their slot for... Most artists seem to play their new stuff too...like AM last night. Elton won't though and GNR somewhere in-between would be nice....but stick a well known track in ever 3,4 songs and we'll hopefully be ok. I hope the sound engineer has a secret rasp button he accidentally switches on tonight....maybe that's what they were developing in the Norway studio š

Yea I was thinking Pink or some female star like Carrie (although not her, she's busy). That would be a good idea and get some good press, considering the moaning of "not enough female representation this year! - Apparently Guns took Swifts place anyways. I echo all your points and certainly wouldn't be against shorter if better quality....Yes! Bandana needs to make a comeback at some point.... I think because of the media "intrusion" of this show is gonna be gigantic in the UK...we've gotta be ready for all the GNR are out of date and misogynistic, with full prints of lots of lyrics and saying how this is "innapproriate" in 2023 and also used as argument on the lack of woman debate. Let's face it, as soon as he starts Easy and stuff like Pretty Tied Up and pointing to his crotch, there's gonna be a backlash...that he's promoting sexual assaults and all kindas random shit! Chill press. It's just a song. So they better sound good otherwise, the press will resort to rippin them to shreds In multiple articles....still if they drop a decent single, bad press is still awareness and clicks, so might do them a favour to be "controversial" again....It's gonna be so weird to have a band we love suddenly come to the mainstream again tonight...there's gonna be lot of people seeing them tonight that long forgot they existed! š

Let's play the fantasy set list game. What would yours be tonight? Based a little in reality of what could happen in an ideal world. It's likely to be close to what we've been getting but just a bit of fun... Dream set list....(26-32 songs set) 1. Down On The Farm 2. Easy 3. Jungle 4. Bad Obsession 5. Don't Damn Me 6. LALD (w McCartney) 7. Pretty Tied Up 8. My Michelle 9. Estranged 10. Double Talking Jive 11. Dust N Bones (with Duff) 12. Slither 13. Anything Goes 14. Bad Apples 15. Shadow 16. November Rain (w Elton) Acoustic set. 17. You're Crazy (Slow) 18. Used To Love Her 19. Patience 20. Sweet Child 21. Heavens Door (Old Skool version) 22. IRS 23. Civil War 24. Chinese Democracy 25. This was exactly what I've had in mind and given me a little more confidence that whatever the band can give, should sound just about as good as it'll ever sound. It should be the best love recording, production wise we have since 2016! The only improvement, would be a properly produced live record/Blu-ray with months of post-production....

Loads of rubbishing this and telling us we were all barking up the wrong tree and then saying anyone that logically thought this was something had a "lower IQ"...if signs like this (different to the stretches of the truth on other information past rumours I'd say...pretty big deal seeing Axl in a studio and with Slash...) And if Guns don't come good, they'll be the only illogical ones in the building (again!). Listen, I understand why but don't insult fans, be angry with a band that has let you down so often that new music would literally have to slap you in the face before you believe it! This is new (old) music....the only question I'd say now is... When? Hopefully while the iron is hot, like many of us saying. At the end of Glastonbury or a few days after... Should be an excited 72 hours (if this is what it appears to be) https://metalinjection.net/upcoming-releases/in-the-studio/looks-like-guns-n-roses-is-in-the-studio Good update article with all relevant new track quotes over last couple of years https://blabbermouth.net/news/photo-of-slash-and-axl-rose-in-studio-leads-to-speculation-about-new-guns-n-roses-music#google_vignette

He can't hit any of the high notes due to his illness....he was hitting them the other week, so that's clear....falsetto must be hard with laryngitis. Also they tend to play a lot of their newer tunes and the jury is out on that....sure they'll end on the classics though. It does benefit GNR to have a first night 6/10 set though, that's for sure!
