I'm kind of digging Safari Inn
(Unpopular opinion of the day?)
Yea I have no idea why people are so disappointed in the song. Slash is getting old. He won't write stuff as good as the old days. Look at pearl jam, aerosmith, soundgarden, alice in chains etc. All their new material is no where near as good as their older stuff.

I think it's awesome =]

I'm not liking the sound of all this negativity about safari inn. Is it really that crap? I'm waiting until someone uploads the full song.

''Perhaps slightly cheesy when they start the sing-along “La la la la la la la Lar la”.
This has completely killed my hype for Battleground =( Is it really that cheesy slash2baz?

''This is without a doubt the Rock and Roll album of the year! 10/10''
Holy Crap O.O

Reading that review has got me super excited man! But yet again, with all these small companies having the album, I am surprised that it has not leaked yet.

If the album is leaked, is it against the rules to post links here?

I like the others but does anyone else get an 'emo-y' vibe from some of the parts of the other songs? An example would be in the chorus of world on fire, where Todd comes in with the higher 'world on fire'. Does my head in. Same with 'I was running with the order' in 30 years to life. These where not present in Apocalyptic love.
For me personally I disagree. I wouldn't catorgize it as emo, but maybe thats what it is. I don't know how I'd catagorize it, I just know I enjoy it.
And Todd's backing vocals have been a staple (good or bad) since Slash's debut. A friend informed me years ago that the high vocals on Back From Cali are actually Todd. And songs like One Last Thrill on Apocalyptic Love definitely had Todd singing similarly high vocals similar to World On Fire. I don't see anything about his singing that has changed since he's joined Slash and I've always enjoyed his contributions. In fact, his backing vocals on World On Fire are in the top 2 or 3 things I love in that song.
No I love Todd. As a bassist and singer. I heard him sing dr alibi live and was so amazing. It is simply the way he hits the higher note after Myles in the new songs that makes me compare to a lot of emo songs I have heard on the radio. I would rather they sing at the same time. Or actually a song with just Todd on vocals. What has your favourite song been from the album so far?

I think we have been blessed to hear 4 full songs before the release of the album. My fav so far is between bent to fly or stone blind. When will we expect that you think?

Anything by The Answer.
Seriously? it sounds like kids trying to play their dad's rock
"Kids trying to play their dad's rock" huh? It sure doesn't sound anything like that to me. You posted the first single to their first album, which is far from being representative of the rest of their work. But live, it kills :
Their guitar player is just great.
Also listen to that :
Sounds pretty good to me.
I love The Answer! They come from my home town. Met them a few times. Such cool guys. And as you said, they are killer live!

I'd consider these better quality:
Stone Blind

30 years to life

Hey Slash2baz, thanks for pointing out Wicked Stone! Sounds class.

Seems to be the only footage uploaded so far from the show. Keep an eye on that channel.

Can't wait to hear feedback from the gig tomorrow! Wonder what new songs they will play. Are there any acoustic only songs on the new album? Thanks
There's no ballads just slower songs than others !
I remember some acoustic parts but there's no what i call "full unplugged songs" like "Nothing Left To Fear".
Slowest songs on the record are probably "Bent To Fly", "Battleground", and "The Unholy".
Thanks for reply man! What was your favourite out of the slower ones? I absolutely love Bent to Fly. Have it blasting everyday. Can't wait to see them at their first European show in Dublin. Wish I was in America for those Aerosmith shows =(

Remember when Apocalyptic love had like 30 second samples of each song a few months before it's release? You think we might get that for World on Fire?
Sure thing but still don't know when...probably 1 or 2 weeks before the release.
The whole album will probably be leaked by then lol.

Rods voice was FAR better than Eric Dover. But I still loved both albums. Remember when Apocalyptic love had like 30 second samples of each song a few months before it's release? You think we might get that for World on Fire?

Thanks so much Gibbo! Love the song!

Hey guys! New to this forum. Loving World on Fire but so looking forward to hearing Bent to Fly. I decided to record the triple m station there now and as soon as I went on, what was the recently played song JUST before the one that was playing? Bloody Bent to fly! =(

Disappointed about there being no Anastasia. Due to this, do you think apocalyptic love is a better album?
