One quick thing to add. Kaneda's right - calling BB right now is kind of pointless. I did it because I was bored and curious - however, 100 BBs could tell you the same thing and no one is going to believe it, anyway, until the red headed recluse speaks. I say just wait for the 'official' press release which will hopefully come Monday or Tuesday (thats just my speculation.. I know nothing about it).
If you want confidence its happening, look at it this way
A. We have recording of Andy Gould at a Best Buy Manager's conference talking about the album being released through BB
B. We have someone who attended the conference mentioning Gould suggested the date of the 25th.
C. Since this story has hit, its been over about 100+ news sources.
D. Mysteron has, apparently, semi-confirmed the information. Say what you want about the guy but he DID organize the pre-sales and has been spot on with some other information. I still think he gets his info by proxy (as in, he's related to someone in the know) but it doesn't really matter.
E. No one in the GNR camp has spoken up to say "this is not true" - thats the big pointer that its happening to me, as the false release date (if its false) could cost GNR money in the long run, if it doesn't happen.
F. Billboard isn't going to run this story unless they have some major independent confirmation. Its Billboard, people, not "Bob's Music Blog"

I don't work for BB - no. I know it because I've contacted three different Best Buys in the South Florida area.
(Palm Beach Gardens, Plantation, and Boca Raton)
RSS is what they call their internal stock db - I have no clue what it stands for.

Its in BB's RSS system but as of now there's no pricing and no details as far as what the 'set' is. Also, the date is currently set in the system as November 25th, NOT the 23rd - but supposedly that's a placeholder and very easy for them to change.
Hopefully Kaneda's right and the announcement hits soon.

And yet - betcha every damn one of us buys at least two copies of CD. I know I am. Hell, I think I'll buy somewhere around 20 of them and just hand them out to random people I know.

Dark, you have a LOT of patience, that's all I'm gonna say...
I've found that playing it calm and cool usually works for me. I'm not going to get my blood pressure up over some twink online who's trying to irk me. Besides, if warchild had an ounce of honor or class, he / she would have introduced themselves to me personally in NYC. Instead, "it" continues to employ hit / run tactics that frankly, in my opinion, fail miserably. Its amusing, though, if nothing else. Makes for great stories around the poker tables or at the bars or wherever else it is I go to socialize when not in front of these infernal machines
Thanks for the compliment, though.
On-topic: I hope the Madrid show goes great tonight and maybe, just maybe, we'll get a bit more solid info on the eventual release or our holy grail.

I honestly have no clue if Axl's there.. and the person that I'm texting probably wouldn't want to be bugged for that sort of info. However, I wouldn't panic - Axl's rarely at soundchecks from my understanding.

Definitely false alarm. In fact, over on HTGTH it looks like Christos is providing Jarmo updates straight from Soundcheck as well. I got my last text message about 1/2 an hour or so ago, myself - seems like Christo's updates are a bit more.. up to date.

A. Considering I just spoke to someone who's attending soundchecks in Madrid about an hour ago.. then yeah, the show is going on.
B. I did not film the Hammerstein shows - nor would I have attempted to. Thanks for continuing to perpetuate your delusions, though. At least it gives me something entertaining to read.
C. Its "Craig" - you dont have to keep censoring the last four characters like you're all special because you know my first name. So do about 100 people who were at Mustang Harry's.. oh no.. I'm scared!

Please - I mean this with all the kindness and honesty in my heart. Talk to someone professional about these feelings and get some help coming to terms with them.
Please don't think I'm making fun of you - I'm not. No one is telling you how to feel.. but you definitely need to address WHY you feel that way with someone who works that kind of stuff out for a living. In my opinion, its irrational thinking - but let a professional tell you that. Not this "Computer nerd" (warchild, the term is geek - but whatever makes you happy, tool) from Florida.
What I say to you, Kimberly, I don't say out of mockery or disdain - I say it because I don't like the concept of anyone suffering.. and I can only imagine when you're harboring feelings like that, you probably are.

Because its usually the person with the problem that's the last to recognize it.
He'd want you to get help because he would feel your behavior is irrational and has the potential to escalate into another 'stalker' type situation. One that he's dealt with before in his life. He'd probably further more 'want you to get help' because, as was evidenced by his behavior at the Hammerstein after the show(s) (Especially on the 17th) the guy does truly seem to care about his fans - even if its in his own way. Its not like he can greet everyone individually - but he at least seemed sincere in his comments.

Wrong RSS - I think RSS as it relates to Best Buy stands for 'Retail Stock System' - RSS feeds are a whole different thing.
