So the tour so far could look like this I guess?

    June 16 - Graspop

    June 18 - firenze

    June 24 - Glastonbury

    June 27 (?) - Glasgow

    June 30 - London

    July 7 - Madrid

This could possibly fit with a possible Düsseldorf date as the stadium is (at least officially) still free for bookings in June between Depeche Mode two times in early June and Springsteen on the 21. immediately followed by Harry Styles two times after that and almost the whole of July (except The Weeknd on the 4th), but this is only speculation on my part as GNR have been heavily rumored in the past to play in Düsseldorf before and even demanding a bigger place to play than our football stadium, which didn't happen. Now as they're maybe scaling the arena sizes down a bit, Düsseldorf could be back in the race again.

Plus we have a supposedly renowned steak house that Axl visited before when he was here with Axl/DC. :D

    Axl/DC was 2016.

I'm just so, so happy that I went to see Axl/DC when they came to my town. Never really cared for AC/DC expect the well known hits, but seeing Axl for  only the second time ever back then, front row, strutting around the stage and totally ripping out these songs was an evening I'll never forget. I almost lost my hearing, too, so class evening all in all. :D

Depends if kings of Leon will be headliner. Would be a pretty bad one. otherwise there's still one spot left

I wouldn't rank Kings of Leon as headliner material, too, but we'll see. I could totally see GNR as headliner happen, but I could totally see it not happen as well.

Still nothing new (not even rumours) regarding GNR in my hometown.

To this day, whenever I listen to the beginning of PARADISE CITY – and it has to be played very fucking LOUD – I feel my body cells renewing, rebuilding, being born anew.
There is no better song with a better beginning. No, not even Jungle, SCOM or whatever.
    This. And the entire song.
    Happy NY, anyone.

    Well said!

  5. Merry Christmas everybody!

I hope you lot and your loved ones are well and healthy and if not, that there's hope for a better 2023.

This one is for all of you, I got to know this song on this forum way way back in the day and it has stuck with me though the years:

  6. Dizzy was a top class guy when I met him after the concert in Munich 2017. Was totally cool with my best friend and me asking him for a picture and an autograph, although is girlfriend / wife / whatever they had going was waiting for him a few meters away.

The same moment Melissa sneaked by and I think I saw some of Axls huge bodyguards, or maybe it was just some band security guy.

just google "guns n roses better music video"

you can tell fernando just started workin with microsoft video editor, such poor quality

Just found it on some Peruvian GNR fangroup on facebook and yeah, I agree, it's pretty bad. Compare this video to all the classic videos (except maybe Garden of Eden) and it would stick out in a really negative way.

The leaked video is interesting, but really not that great. The Buckethead footage was clearly out of place, and the mix of betacam and film (from the Hammerstein gigs, I assume) was jarring to say the least. The live concept was good, tho. And I liked the little red demons hidden throughout the video.

Never seen that before, is there any way you guys know of to watch this video somewhere?

  9. "Brighter than a Thousand Suns: A Personal History of the Atomic Scientists" by Robert Jungk.

Holy hell, if you're interested in this topic only the slightest, check this book, it's crazy. Same with "Midnight in Chernobyl" by Adam Higginbotham.

  10. 18 years with a long gap of inactivity and several shorter ones because, well, life got in the way and other bands became more important. Still a cool place to visit although I don't recognize that many usernames from back then.

    Pearl Jam (three times)

    Die Toten Hosen (twice)

    Glen Hansard

    Emma Ruth Rundle

    Brian Fallon

    Haldern Pop Festival.

Still thinking about getting tickets for GNR in Munich again but I probably won't get a day off from work for that date.

Glen Hansard cancelled and I couldnt attend both Brian Fallon and Emma Ruth Rundle, but I went to The Cure in Munich and The Afghan Whigs in Munich as well instead. Pearl Jam in Vienna was cancelled as well, but the spectacular concert in Frankfurt was untoppable anyway.

Last week I saw Alt-J with the wife, pretty awesome, too, although a bit on the short side.
