“I'll see you again in 25 y̶e̶a̶r̶s̶ HOURS!”

    Countdown clock for Twin Peaks

    http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/countdown/

...and with that this will be my last post on this thread. I hope everybody has enjoyed this long and bumpy ride for a show that is set to have a new season after 27 years. I know that a large majority of this thread was just me giving updates and shit but I did it for the few fellow Peaks freaks here.

I'll see you in The Black Lodge..

Again, thank you for this thread. Now 24 hours till my son goes to bed and my wife goes to yoga.... I can't wait, this will be an awesome Monday night! By the premier reviews it doesn't disappoint.

it was the last show of the pasadena shows if i am not mistaken

    3rd or 4th show

yes, sound is great for the instruments and axl mic is a bit low but still sounds great

yes, these CDs also have great sound

also there is one more bootleg with this very same show with another name that also sounds great

maybe its just me that likes it better

YES, those intros were priceless! everytime i listen to this show (or any properly recorded GNR show 1986-1991) i wonder HOW FUCKED UP WAS the "GNR ORGANIZATION" to release that TURD live era album with stupid re-recorded vocals!

I checked it, it was the 4th show on the 30th. I agree, even with Axl's low vocals it's still an awesome bootleg, considering it was probably recorded on a cassette originally!

interesting.. I would like the copy you have.. Mine sucked.. I found a copy online last year leading up to the reunion and that sucked too. I mean it was clear as day when Axl was talking but most of the songs sounded like inaudible mud. I used to make tapes with his song intros and put in other live versions of the songs hahah.

This is the 3rd show yes? I have a couple of versions of this all pretty similar. The sound is good for the instruments but Axl's mic is a bit low on most songs. I think @gibbo said on an old thread the double cd Bad boys, Great Noize and Noizemakers was the best version. I think he posted it as well if you search in downloads. If not I'll post it if you want it.

Showtime’s Dale Cooper And Laura Palmer Teasers Mix Old And New Twin Peaks Footage

    http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/news/dale-cooper-mirror-laura-palmer-body-teasers/

Let’s take a closer look at the two new 30-second Twin Peaks teasers Showtime shared today, both mixing in the “It is happening again” title card for the very first time.

    Twin Peaks ‘Mirror’ Tease

The “Mirror” tease shows Dale Cooper’s final shot in the season two finale —note that we do not hear his final words— followed by footage of a somber, present-day Dale Cooper as seen in an earlier teaser. What happens during the 25 years between both scenes will likely be the story of the new Twin Peaks.

    Twin Peaks ‘Body’ Tease

The second tease, titled “Body,” shows the iconic head shot of the murdered Laura Palmer and then jumps to a previously unseen shot of her homecoming queen portrait taped to what looks like cardboard. Is it missing the frame?

It is safe to assume that, just like the image of Dale Cooper in the dark, this footage is from the upcoming series.

Are you satisfied with teases like these for now, or do you think it’s time for a full-blown trailer?

I like the teasers but I'd like a trailer, it would be interesting to see what we're in store for. I think we will get one as Lynch must be used to putting them together for his movies, I'm just impatient and would like it sooner rather than later!

Yeah?  Wonder if they work in England.

If you want to try it for free and have an Android phone, download an app called Kodi from the Play store and Google instructions on how to set up the add ins. If it works for you then I'd assume the Amazon stick with Kodi installed would work too, can't guarantee it though but this way it won't cost you anything to try.

Yeah, that was the first fan edit I ever watched. I thought it was a pile of shit. The thing that made Twin Peaks so great was that everybody was suspect and in Northwest Passage it was all removed. Audrey was in just one scene and never seen or mentioned again. In Cooper's dream they don't even show BOB, just a black screen but with BOB's audio still intact. It's a clusterfuck and a chore to set through. I saw it once, several years ago, and after it was over I immediately deleted it

Thanks mate, I won't waste my time downloading it. I thought it might be a quick way to get my wife up to speed before the new series.

Not much as in fresh news but important just the same. A glimpse of what's to come with the new series

"Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” Is Required Viewing And Available On Showtime In March

    http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/news/twin-peaks-fire-walk-with-me-streaming/

As promised back in 2014, David Lynch has revealed nothing about the plot of the new Twin Peaks so far. Except for one thing: that the story of Laura Palmer’s last seven days —as detailed in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me— is “very much important for this.”

An ongoing poll shows that 1 out of every 10 Twin Peaks fans still hasn’t watched the 1992 movie starring Sheryl Lee! To make sure fans are fully prepared for the journey back to Twin Peaks, Showtime has announced it will be adding it to their streaming service on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The prequel will debut on air on the same day at 8 PM ET/PT.

David Lynch, of course, did not elaborate on why the movie may be required viewing before May 21st. Based on the cast list, we know that of the characters it introduced, at least Carl Rodd (Harry Dean Stanton) and Jumping Man (Carlton Lee Russell) are set to return. The enigmatic Phillip Jeffries, originally played by the late David Bowie, is also rumored to make an appearance in the new series. If so, it’ll be interesting to see how they can top this.

Aside from new characters, the movie contributes intriguing elements to the mythology, like the jade ring —referenced multiple times in Mark Frost’s “The Secret History of Twin Peaks”— and the painting that “would look good on your wall.” And maybe we’ll learn more about Gordon Cole’s Blue Rose cases 16 weeks from now?

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me is part of Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery. You can also find it on Amazon Video and iTunes.

In other news, the film’s phenomenal soundtrack by Angelo Badalamenti was rereleased on vinyl last week. Grab a copy before it’s sold out.

I downloaded the Q2 fan edit, just need to find time to watch it.

When I was looking for the fan edit of FWWM I noticed Q2 had another fan edit of the series,5 hours long called Northwest Passage which shows just the Laura Palmer mystery in chronological order - have you seen this one by any chance?

I wonder how they are going to handle The Black Lodge stuff from not having either BOB or The Little Man From Another Place in the new series? I mean Frank Silva (BOB) died in 1995 and Michael J Anderson (TLMFAP) said some really, and I mean REALLY, dumb shit about his pay demands and the accusations he said about Lynch molesting his own daughter. While The One Armed Man and The Giant are in the cast it's going to be a sight to see without having the two most iconic characters in the new series.

Frank Silva is definately a big loss. He scared the shit out of me as a kid and I don't know how they'll recreate the terror without him. I'm assuming Cooper will be the new BOB....It'll be his facing staring back in the mirror when we find out the next killer!

You're very much welcome :) I've been a fan since the beginning. Used to watch it with my mom. I used to have the VHS box set but it didn't have the pilot. I have the Gold Box set cause I don't have a Blu-Ray player. I also have a fan-edit version of Fire Walk With Me that clocks in at 3 and a half hours. Some guy used the original script and inserted what was in The Missing Pieces back into the original film. It's not official but it's easy to find the torrent of it.

That sounds good, I'll need to check it out. To be honest I prefer the Gold box set, you're not really missing anything new with the blu ray. Did you read the Mark Frost book that recently came out? I downloaded it from Audible but got bored, it wasn't really what I was looking for but did have some fun stuff in it.

  10. @jabberwocky Thanks for this thread and the work you do on it. You're keeping me up to date with everything and making it easy for me to see updates. Now that I have a date I just need to decide whether to watch the Gold box set or the Complete mystery Blu-ray edition before the release...I also own the VHS collection (I'm a twin peaks tragic) Judging by Lynch's previous movies like Mulholland Drive this is going to be awesome, I have no doubt I won't be disappointed.

Personally, I used to really dig the version like in the OP when Bumble's solo would go into the intro, then it was only him and Axl for the first half of it. IDK, I just thought it sounded great and I'd feel all the feels... :shrugs:

I agree with this, it had a real sense of melancholy. I have to be honest, I'm in the pre 93 camp and really don't like Chinese Democracy, except for Better but the first performance of this post Slash really sounded great even though Axl messed up the lyrics. Can anyone tell me what this show was, I'm pretty sure it was in Japan somewhere?

describing Liam running around like a kid in the playground chasing leaves

This was the funniest line in the whole thing, especially with the picture of Liam they put up. I could just see him running round the ferry with an excited grin on his face slapping people, that simple pleasure of a kid chasing leaves.

I really enjoyed it as a whole, it was funny, honest and more to the point reminded me of growing up in the UK in the nineties...still can't believe it was twenty years ago.

Just came back from the show.  I'm damn tired, and I'm glad I don't drink because I would be fucked up otherwise.  I was front row.  Fucking awesome.

Show started about 45 min late.  Axl sounded great.  Slash is the king of this band.  Without him there's no reason to see them live.  Jesus Christ the man is a guitar God.  People were literally crying when he played Estranged solos.  Duff looked a sounded awesome, he looks 35.  Can't believe how he turned his life around.

Opener band were worse than Chinese Democracy.  I hope they die, or get killed.  That was the worst piece of shit I have ever experienced.

I took four or five photos and filmed two videos of 40 seconds.  I didn't want to miss a thing, I was there to see them and get the GUNS N ROSES experience in full, and I got my motherfucking money's worth.

Best band ever.  Best show ever.

    Good fucking night!

" Best show ever." Better than '93 shows?

I have a list of reasons why 1993 was the best... ?.

Glad you enjoyed it mate, I can't wait to see them live.

  14. Fred and Rosemary West were fucking evil. Admittedly I'm only commenting on this as I recently saw a pic of them that made me laugh (below). After reading Wikipedia, I recon unlike Brady and Hindley, Rose was the more twisted one. When you're a hooker and your best clients your Dad something has to be seriously fucked up.

Does anyone know if both membership options allow for up to four presale tickets?

    Thanks in advance.

The $45 membership allows 4. To be honest I think you could buy as many as you want just in blocks of 4
