Looks like my info was incorrect on this if you look at Ticketek descriptions for seats, my apologies, I thought the info was good.

@Harlum Shake  appears to be correct with pit then seating behind it.

Ticketek have posted Australia pricing, have a look on the website. I would assume it will be similar.

I'd normally assume it'll be sweet as with a fanclub presale but have just heard horror storys from the U.S about people joining Nightrain for the same reason and then getting to the presale and only being able to select from shitty seats, and then eventually getting a better spot in the general sale!

Hi, I'm in the same boat as you so I joined Nightrain to try for the pit tickets. You get the code instantly so if you are looking for shows that go on sale after the Melbourne show I can post whether I was sucessful in getting the pit through Nightrain and you can join up if it's worthwhile.

It's standing and will be sectioned. 

Telstra are showing presale as 23rd, not 19th. Looks like it's Nightrain and VIP only on Friday. Incase anyone was banking on 19th through them.

Absolutely, I'm hoping for a big crowd at the G. You're correct about the standing on the pitch, no seats. I'll post more info when I get it.

The presale tickets are usually good for people who want seats, you can choose the seats at a good price before any one does.

Hi mate, what does above mean? I really want Pit tickets as well and was going to join Nightrain to try and get them in the presale - do they not get sold through Nightrain?

Mcg is the venue for Melbourne, but only playing one night. I'll try and find out more about when they plan on releasing the info to public...at least then you'll know when you'll get the full dates for Australia/Japan.
