People always ripping on Dizzy, but lezbionest, if any of y'all knew how to play keys, and Axl called you up, you'd do it. Not sure what more he has to do since 1991 to validate himself, but to each their own. Met him at a H&B show in Houston last month. Nice guy.

1) Another great episode as always.
2) Totally unrelated to this episode, but do you think Matt Sorum would come on the podcast if you let him use some of the time to plug his Adopt the Arts charity? (Sorry - had to throw that idea out there before I forgot later on)

Izzy AND Steven... though it would probably be Steven talking and Izzy nodding.
-
Trying to picture a conversation between Niven and Goldstein is harder to imagine than when we wondered if Axl and Slash would ever have a conversation again.

It’s gonna be Izzy. He starts a reunion tour with Ju Ju Hounds and plays clubs and theaters!
And then when Izzy sees a million people trying to buy tickets, he goes surfing instead lol.
This interview had got to be Slash or Izzy.

if they want money for old rope they should have reworked rocket queen without the shagging so its allowed to be played on radio. that would have a far better chance of being a hit than subjecting bieber fan radio listeners to a song like SOYL
Wait... Axl and Adriana aren't re-recording their part for this? I'm out.

Quick post in between work meetings, so my apologies if this is in the wrong section.
Anyone going to any of the Dizzy Reed H&B tour dates and want to meet? Forum might be a good place to make that happen. I'll be at the one one Houston (Stafford) this Friday night.
Question for those who have already attended - Does Dizzy meet and greet fans after?
-
Thinking back, I remember a couple of folks claiming they saw Izzy in Kansas City.

This all just makes it all the more amazing that this happened (and regrettable that Steven mouthed off about it afterward).
I still wish we could get an interview with one of these guys to ask what it was like to have this combination on stage again.

Haven't finished the album yet, but I love it so far. The piano-heavy rock really reminds me of UYI. But then again, I'm a Dizzy supporter, so my opinion and 50 cents will buy you a cup of coffee lol.

Not yet, I haven’t officially reached out. Want to send a professional email thing 😊
Oh that would be killer! Met her and the other 3 guys in TX a few years back. They were super nice folks.

I always figured it was "nada." Izzy can be pretty random lol.
Of course, if he still reads this forum, maybe he can tell us.

Dizzy Reed has released a single from his upcoming album, and it's actually pretty good. Not sure who all played on it.
His H&B band is also touring on the side.

I feel like the hate on Dizzy is more so a hate on having a pianist in general. Like the piano = "I'm ok with Dizzy." Don't like the piano = "Dizzy sucks." Like the piano but can't handle Dizzy being a true gunner = "Axl played piano in the studio!"
And yet, if Axl tried to sing Estranged, November Rain, This I Love, etc. WHILE playing the piano for the whole show, and he skipped out on lyrics or hit a sour note on the grand, you'd be the first to criticize him.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, a video of me defending Dizzy Reed as a fan on the forum.

Adler.
Or a Foxy Shazam reunion.

So I had an Axl-level cheesy joke moment on stage of my own the other night (not sure if this goes in Discussion category or Jungle - sorry mods).
I play country music and southern rock, and four songs into my set, I was still miffed that the Apollo show left out a chunk of Appetite, so I threw in "Out Ta Get Me."
I dedicated it to Appetite turning 30, Ford bringing back the Bronco, and consequently, "the Juice is on the loose!" Awful, I know, but not as bad as Axl's Philadelphia "Bell" joke.
Yeah, I goofed up the intro and watered down the language (family establishment) but we got a laugh out of it, and hopefully y'all get an end-of-the-week chuckle.

They need to open this show with Rocket Queen.

At this point, you could have Izzy, Gilby, and Fortus rotate songs, (or Adler, Sorum, and Frank), and this forum would STILL blow up into an argument.

Enjoyed the fact we have a soundboard on songs we didn't have before (with Slash and Duff).
But as far as celebrating Appetite goes, that show was absolutely pathetic.

When does Sirius release the version without the guy yelling "Thank you Axl" throughout the songs?

Nope. Seeker.

Well this has been quite the Appetite tribute.

You can actually hear Dizzy sing on KOHD. Random.
