What Marc said doesn't line up with what Axl said really. From what Axl said it sounds like Slash played the little riff and quickly squirreled it away once he showed interest. I believe that it didn't become a fully realized song until the early 2000s like Slash says being that it didn't show up on either Snakepit album.

Tommy said he was going to reach out and ask if he could have it back.
It's probably my fav song from the Village Leaks. The early version is so much better and a perfect example of how those songs got butchered by endless tinkering.

Vampire's Kiss is a classic, Nicolas Cage is so campy and funny. I view that movie more as a comedy than horror.
The commentary track with Nic Cage is great too.

What's going on in Gaza is an atrocity. Biden needs to stop justifying it by saying Israel has a right to defend themselves, and stop trying to soften it by saying he discussed with Netanyahu the importance of protecting civilians when it's clear they do not care who they are killing. Do not send any weapons, military support, money, no anything. Support a ceasefire, like Blinken originally tweeted then deleted.

Just now, colonizedmind said:You're nobody if you've never had a good death hoax spread....
But you really hit the peak when they say you died and were replaced by a clone e.g. Paul McCartney,

Izzy wouldn't show up to any promotional stuff, wouldn't film music videos, and refused to do anything more than stand there on stage while everybody else was putting 100% into performing. He wasn't even helping to finish up the UYI albums while the others were still working on it. Izzy wasn't doing his job at all at that point, not even the bare minimum. It wasn't right to shove a contract in his face. But when Slash and Axl brought him a contract threatening to demote him if he didn't shape up, it's not like it came out the blue. Izzy's response was to quit instead of compromising, and yes Axl was sad about that. He spent 4 hours on the phone with Izzy crying and pleading with him, trying to figure out a way for Izzy to stay. He wouldn't do that if he didn't care at all, nor would Izzy have sat there listening to him for 4 hours if he didn't care about Axl in return.
This is obviously two people who cared about each other a lot, but couldn't see eye-to-eye when shit hit the fan. It happens all the time, I don't think anybody deserves to be demonized in this situation.
It's worth noting that Izzy had got clean. Imagine being in the band around that time while sober

I can't imagine if The General was any good that it would be regulated to an exclusive b-side on a vinyl release. This is the band that put out Hard School and Absurd as singles.

This is obviously a fake.... Right?
It was posted 4 days ago. Sounds like Axl, I guess? Hard to tell.
A bunch of guitar noodling and a weak voice with unintelligible lyrics may not be far from what a new GNR song will sound like

Axl's vocals do have a theatrical quality to them so i can see where they get RHPS
It's far more pronounced on This I Love, which could have it's own stage show.

What is Izzys biggest writing credit outside of GNR? I'm not really familiar with his solo efforts and can't really say I remember hearing any of his songs on the radio. Any good recommendations where to start?
Probably the JuJu Hounds album which is also a good place to start or 117 degrees.

I’ve never understood why it was so expensive. I feel like you’d have to try hard to spend that much on making a rock album. I guess that figure might include the cost of the 2 unreleased parts of the so called trilogy but wtf.
Renting a studio and every piece of musical equipment you could possibly need for a decade adds up
Interscope should have put the album out in 2000 when Axl thought it was ready. It still probably sells a mill off the GNR name alone.
Re: Detox. I'm sad we never got this from Dre. It sounds pretty dope.

As mentioned, it was part of Duff's SiriusXM show this morning - the second song in. If you can't wait 'til midnight, it's available now on-demand via the app or web.
Duff has a Sirius show?

Def sounds like leftover Chinese. I think you could put this on the album and not tell the difference.
That solo doesn't work though.

Nuno should have let it go or cleared the air without attacking Fortus. That response really has him looking like an asshat.
