Monsters is so good. The combination of Axl's signature aggression and Slash's signature bluesy makes it a BEAST.

VERY late to the party for please forgive my ignorance. Where might I hear the song?

in a positive light , (going off topic again) @Rapidfire you have a really cool pp . so there's that . So, what is your favourite video there that you posted?
Haha yeah! it's a nice one that I found that fits well with GnR with the skull and all. I really like Heat Above out of all of them as Greta Van Fleet has a very high vocal range, which gives me some room to imagine what Axl could do.

realistically speaking, it would be great if this rasp filter can be used live. Might not be the most authentic, but at least it makes him sound like he used to without lip syncing.

There's this channel that has AI Axl doing covers. Thought it would be really interesting to share and discuss. Some worked out great, while some were really odd.

Has anyone posted on this youtuber that has been using Axl's voice on other songs? They are really good and interesting. Search for this channel "Zoyer".

Was anybody from the forum actually there? I visited the show in SIN in 2017 and it was one of the worst organized shows I have ever been to. Transportation sucked big time and the organizers were major crooks. One had to put money on some kind of non refundable festival credit card in advance. If you were dumb enough to do that you had to wait about 2-3 hours in front of a single beer/drinks stand missing half the show, only to then find out that everything was sold out, so you paid a lot of money and time for nothing.
I wonder if it was any better this time?
Way way way way better. National stadium is hands down the best place to hold a concert. There were no weird credit thing, plenty of places around the stadium to grab ur food, and drinks. But queues were still pretty long. Going to the venue is easy. Plenty of space in the stadium to roam around. Seemless experience.
The previous venue in 2017 is one of the weirdest venue to ever held a concert. It is primarily known for the air shows to display planes and heli annually. I remember how much it was a pain to take a bus to and back from the venue back then.

Damn. That is new(who said GN'R don't change setlist!)... I'd be pissed if I attend a GN'R show and Brownstone isn't played. I rather have one or all of the CD songs dropped than Brownstone!
They played Wichita Lineman. Could play so many other better songs. But they played don't cry, slither, soyl, hs, absurd and reckless, which they didn't back in 2017. I'm happy with what was played tonight!

Maybe because it's a drug song? My country is strict on drugs, but maybe he choose not to or authorities warned them not to. But from what I can recall, it was played when they were in Singapore back in 2017.

Brownstone wasn't played. I was there. Straight to CD after ISE.
Band was tight. Axl sounded a bit better than I expected. Sounded like more rasps but it could be the echo of the stadium causing that illusion.
Crowd was happy.
Edited:
Setlist as usual. No surprises.

After a few more listens over the weekend, the album is growing on me. I've had some hooks stuck in my head when i'm just going about the day. LTD was good, but i freaking hate My Antidote. It really breaks the momentum of the album with such off putting melody and lyrics by Myles.
-
C'est La Vie, April Fool and Fall Back To Earth are the better songs. The best ones are still The River Is Rising and Fill My World. Needs a few more listens. But currently not very impressed.

This is definitely an album filler. Sounded like they put it together in an hour or less.

I enjoy Duff's work. They are usually fast and fun. Believe In Me is pretty good for a fun solo effort (I'm a late bloomer of rock music and only heard the album maybe 5 years ago). Only thing I'm not a fan of is that intro where he had a dream about a little girl. That was kinda cringe as fuck.

The SCOM is undeniably a big influence to this. A sunny feel-good vibe that SMKC or Slash hasn't done in awhile (or since I can remember). Reminds me a little of Sunny Side Of Love by Aerosmith, which is a track I really dig.

Weird that they booked spots on NFL to promote a lyric video of a single released 2 mths ago. It might be building up to something I feel!

Listened to the song 3 times so far. Really like the song! Love that gritty sounding vibe, which really suits Myles, which is more of his Alter Bridge style.
The siren-sounding riff is badass. It gave the song a dangerous/ warning kind of vibe to it. The chorus has this progression which reminded me a little bit of Too Far Gone (under-rated song BTW), which is a great.
Solo was unexpected. kind of took me out of the song for a bit. But it sounded different from Slash would usually do, so I'm in for him to try something new.
Ending part was a little unnecessary, but doesn't really hurt or adds to the song.
Overall a good track! Looking forward to the album.

Ozzy did great with Post Malone. It made Ozzy pushed out his last album and is working on an upcoming one because he enjoys working with the producer. Maybe Axl will feel inspired again.

LOL it would be fun to see them play it tonight, but they've already released the studio version and that's all I really care for. But still weird that they did not play or mention it.

Very exciting to see how well Hard Skool will be recieved by the media and non hardcore fans! A rock radio hit for sure! IMO this is the perfect comeback song for GnR. Really exciting times as a GnR fan.

Finish/ redo CD2 songs with Slash and Duff, put them out as a full album, and then focus on fresh materials with the current band.
