I'm not sure who he is exactly which is weird because I'm subscribed to his podcast where he chats with the good and great of the rock fraternity including members of GNR. A slightly less well known Eddie Trunk would be my description.

I think you should go in with the lowest of expectations re: Jimmy Kimmel. But those lowest of expectations would be the tour being announced on his show. A surprise performance seems unlikely. When GNR appear or TV, they won't be keeping it a secret.

If it is Matt over Frank, then I think it will be billed as a full on reunion but Richard will be a third guitarist and Izzy will sod off backstage while Axl plays his piano ballads. Or, you know, not turn up at all on some nights.

I hope Izzy doesn't bails out, I have a lot of respect for him, but him always bailing out means basically he is saying FUCK YOU to the fans.

Duff and Izzy have already recorded music together this year so if Izzy doesn't turn up to a GNR tour, I'm sure he'll have his reasons beyond saying fuck you.

He fought to the end. Some battles were lost this year and forced him off his stage but he still turned up for battle.

Weren't Axl and Izzy supposed to have written some songs together a few years back? And there's the Slash era songs Fortus mentioned. So even without any CD leftovers, there's stuff they have to work on that I'd like to hear. Maybe not comeback single quality but enough to tag on the end of a new compilation.

I don't care if they're cashing in or selling out. They're not some poxy alt rock band who have to keep a cult following happy by never being liked by Coldplay fans. Guns N' Roses belong on the world's biggest stages and that's where they're heading back to.

They'll be doing what we love them doing and they'll be paid handsomely for it. Everyone wins. Apart from Bumblefoot.

Axl and Slash is the reunion to end all reunions, GNR or otherwise.

Pitman replaced Teddy Zig Zag Andreadis. He never needed to be used throughout the set. His backing vocals on WTTJ are particularly naff.

But if they're gonna carry on where the UYI tour left off (as opposed to doing an AFD/Lies tour with Steven and Izzy), it stands to reason that there'll be at least seven people on stage.

Coachella's plans won't change between now and then.

Christmas is ruined now. I don't believe in Santa and I don't believe Axl and Slash are having Xmas dinner together at Beta's. Axl is just gonna sit on his own and eat a whole turkey and cheeseburger pizza washed down with a Budweiser and ignore the exercise bike Duff bought him as a present.

My sources tell me they had intended for the delayed announcement to be next week on the 25th but have had to delay it again after being informed that Christmas might also fall on that day this year.

It might be asking too much of him to deliver the rasp for more than two hours but at the very least he could do something to stop being out of breath by the third line of Welcome to the Jungle.

I'm sure they're just saving the announcement for the trailers before Star Wars tomorrow.
